"I parked in the disabled parking space nearest to the door, and staggered in. They met me with a wheelchair! Check-in was easy, and I was seen immediately. I had an exam, x-rays" and a shot of an NSAID pain med. This is where you find out if something is broken or twisted, but only MRI can see the soft tissues. So a few days later, when I still couldn't walk well at all, off I went to the orthopaedic surgeon. Now that I'm established with the doctor, I probably wouldn't use Urgent Care for this situation or a similar joint situation again, as Tucson Ortho has same-day appointments, but this facility is top notch, and I have taken my elderly mom there a couple of times. All staff are pleasant and professional. The facility is immaculate as well!

"I've been to them a few times, and everything has been going well. The staff has been friendly and comforting, they do a thorough job, and they act professionally at all times.

"My experience with them was excellent. They provide everything under the sun which is one of the conveniences. One can go there and see a number of different doctors and specialists" all in one day with timely appointments as opposed to going back two or three days later. They have a very professional work force. They are very timely; one does not sit there for hours. They are very accessible even in bad weather through the tunnel systems from various hotels. It is a bit of a drive from where I live.

Radiology

Radiology covers a broad range of services that use diagnostic imaging devices to see into the body. A radiologist reads the results and forwards the findings to your doctor for diagnosis and treatment.

Angie's Answers

I second the original question (still unanswered). Speaking as someone who logged in today to try to find an attorney, I see this category as one that's exactly what I have my Angie's List membership for:

1. It's important that I find a good one
2. I'm not an expert enough to know myself who is a good one
3. The industry is full of advertisements and misinformation
4. I wish I knew what experiences other people have had

?
I don't care about lawns--I planted mine in clover and don't have to mow it. When I do need to mow I use a rotary Fiskars mower, which is great--or a scythe. That's right--a scythe (the European type, which is smaller, and it's very good exercise). Gas-powered mowers, chemical fertilizers and weed killers--all nasty stuff that gets into everyone's air, soil, and water. I'm sure my neighbor doesn't like my wildflowers, semi-wild pockets of fruit bushes, and unmown areas and yes, dandelions (I have 10 acres) but that's too bad. It's better habitat for wildlife, especially the pollinators on which our food supply depends. I think this obsession with the Great American Lawn is a waste of time and resources. Plant some food instead.

?
I'm not sure Angie et. al. want you to have a complete answer to this question. By re-subscribing at the Indiana State Fair in 2012, I think I paid $20.00 per year for a multi- year subscription. Maybe even less. At the other extreme--and I hope my memory isn't faulty about this--I think the price, for my area, for ONE year was an outrageous $70.00. And they debited me automatically without warning. I had to opt out of that automatic charge. I like Angie's List, but if some of the companies they monitor behaved the way they do in this respect, they'd be on some sort of Pages of Unhappiness. I'll be interested to see if this comment gets published or censored out of existence.

You have to put your self in the shoes of a business that is in business to turn a profit of some sort. All businesses have different overhead which in turn decides what their bottom line would be on their services. I personally would not go with an unlicensed professional for this type of install. You are messing with gas, venting issues, electrical wiring{electric water heater} and updated code issues such as a drain pan and tempature and relief drain lines for heaters that currently do not have them. I do agree that there are some companies that are way out of line for their installs but most of these companies are the really big companies that have very high overheads  I would assume. Tank type water heaters have changed over the last several years and with these safety changes come bigger prices. The price of steel thanks to China is skyrocketing and tank type water heaters are made of steel. Most wholesale plumbing supply companies cannot match what the big box stores are selling at retail to consumers. I happen to think from research that heaters such as Rheem, Bradford White and AOSmith who have been in business forever make a better product than what you can buy in the big box outlets. You also have to take in consideration the location of the water heater that is being replaced. Is it in the house, basement, garage or attic. Most 40 and 50 gallon water heaters that are purchased in a plumbing wholesale store in Texas cost between 300-340 for a 6 year warranty heater with 6 year on parts and tank. Speaking of warranty. Most big box companies will take a least 24 hours to a week to get your warranty problem taken care of. Most reputable plumbing companies will give same day service if they installed the heater.

So lets break down a typical install at cost to a licensed plumber in Texas

Heater: $315, water shut off $6.50, water flex lines or unions to code $20, gas flex line and cut off to code $12, misc fittings $15, Total $368.50 Lets add a 35% profit which is some what low  for a business $129, Total 497.50

This doesnt  include permits, pan and drain or any venting issues. The vent must go from the heater to the outside of roof using double wall vent.

Cost of permit on average $60

Most plumbing companies allow for 3 hours of time for a water heater. This includes picking the new one up. Delivering out to house. Draining and removing old water heater. Hauling off old heater. Installing new heater up to code. Going down to city and pulling permit.

Average Labor charges for heater installs $400

That would make this install run without extras on any code issues $957.50

I just had a 50 gallon gas water heater installed in my house for $1200 but I needed a pan installed. I used a licensed plumber.

That's very difficult to answer without seeing the house. As one poster said, the prep is the most important part. On newer homes that don't have a lot of peeling paint, the prep can be very minimal even as low as a couple or a few hundred dollars for the prep labor.

On a 100 year old home with 12 coats of peeling paint on it, then the prep costs can be very high and can easily exceed 50% of the job's labor cost.

A 2100 sq ft two story home could easily cost $1000 just for the labor to prep for the paint job. That number could climb too. Throw in lots of caullking  or window glazing, and you could be talking a couple or a few hundred dollars more for labor.

Painting that home with one coat of paint and a different color on the trim could run roughly $1000 or more just for labor. Add a second coat  and that could cost close to another $1000 for labor.

For paint, you may need 20 gallons of paint. You can pay from $30-$70 for a gallon of good quality exterior paint. The manufacturer of the paint should be specified in any painting contract. Otherwise, the contractor could bid at a Sherwin-Williams $60 per gallon paint and then paint the house with $35 Valspar and pocket the difference. $25 dollars per gallon times 20 gallons? That's a pretty penny too.

That was the long answer to your question. The short answer is $2000 to $4000 and up, depending upon the amount of prep, the number of coats, the amount of trim, and the paint used.

?
Todd said it best.

An itemized list / cost breakdown, more often than not is used against the contractor when it is shared with other builders who will then beat it.

Good contractors use good people, and good people cost more.  Just the cost of having the appropriate insurance / bond can be the difference between winning a job or losing it ot a 'lower bid'.

It is the rule of three; there is Good, Cheap and Fast.  You can have any two:  Good and Cheap, won't be Fast; Good and Fast, won't be Cheap;  Cheap and Fast, won't be Good!

When comparing bids, it isn't the cheapest or the 'nicest' person you should select.   You should understand why there is a large price difference (it shows there are gaps in your design program or what you have asked for specifically, which means there may be arguments later).  If most of the bids are in line, and one is way high or way low,  you want to know why before dismissing or selecting them.

A price-only decision almost always costs more in the long run.

Good luck!

is a FANTASTIC doctor. She is intelligent, thorough, and she does the right things to get you well. In my case, I had a partially collapsed

, and my other doctor insisted I need surgery to remove it. I went to
Monroeville Radiologists Provider Name Locked
and she actually wanted to find the REASON this was happening to me. In my case, it ended up being an extreme allergy to black mold, which was causing my immune system to go haywire. The treatment has been a very long course of medications. I wasn't pleased about that and fought

on it for a long time. She was open to my trying other natural methods that I had read about, as long as she didn't think they were otherwise compromising my health. But her treatments are based on current research and her extensive knowledge, so in the end, they were the best. I'm so glad I went to Dr.

Schlimbach is a radiation oncologist. She is an absolutely excellent doctor. They know how to deal with a delicate mandible that has been through the radiation. A regular dentist might break the mandible during tooth extraction. As far as I'm concerned, I'm still here because of their care. All the people here are very professional.

They have everything. They have cardiologists. They have gastroenterologists. They have straight doctors. You name it, they have it. They also have technical facilities for anything but an MRI that take pictures. They're quite full of everything. If I really had to get something on a given day with a cardiologist or something, I could probably get it. Generally, I make reserved time for problems. It takes maybe a week or so to get an appointment. They have a very nice office. Punctuality depends on the doctor I'm seeing. Generally, it's not too bad; they're probably within 15 or 20 minutes of what they say. They never know how long it's gonna take with a patient; they're pretty good. The staff is very nice. The doctors I deal with have a very good bedside manner. Some doctors communicate better than others. I've had no problems with the billing. I use them all the time.

We have been satisfied with them. The location is great, it is not more than a 20 minute drive and we have had excellent service. The wait time is not bad and they have been punctual. The staff has always been nice, communicative and informative. It is the only place we have insurance and they have been good at resolving any health problems we have had.

He is associated with Travelers Rest Family Care Center and I like him. He seems to listen to me better than some of the other doctors who I have had. When I call him I can normally get in the same day. I am not sure how his billing and administration stands out as I do not deal too much with that.
