"We met with them several times to draw up plans for a master bedroom addition. They asked good questions to help determine what it was we wanted and helped us arrive at the final plans." Since they are experts in this area, it was helpful to be able to ask them questions and seek their advice to help keep costs down. The finished product (from them) is a very detailed set of plans that the contractor said made his job very easy to bid and do the work. We met with several designers and they were much more thorough and professional than anyone else we met with, and felt their cost was worth it for the project we wanted. One of the things I really appreciated was how they kept in communication with us throughout the project. They gave us a realistic timeframe, and they stuck to it. Overall, I would highly recommend
to anyone needing their services.

"CJ incorporating many special preferences and requests in the design of my very rough attic into a master suite, with clever closets and classy tiled shower. The result was beautiful," stunning. CJ was very patient walking me through the process. He had ideas that we used that improved the look and efficiency of our space. CJ was very professional and helpful.

"All of the above work was completed in a very tight time frame, and completed while the entire house was being repainted by a separate contractor.
took on much" of the scheduling aspects as well for the various tasks. Nearly everything was completed entirely correctly the first time, and the few things that did require "call backs" were addressed promptly.

Architect first - for around $1000 typically you will get site consultation, a few sketches showing what you said you wanted, and a preliminary (by the book) cost estimate - that you can use to figure if your budget or scope of work needs major adjustment. Then, if you go ahead, typically about 10-20% of total project cost for complete plans and specs (including above cost), depending on complexity and level of interior design detail, and if construction inspection services are included.

Generally, nothing is free with an architect - unlike a contractor where a bit of consultation and a rough estimate is a lead-in to the actual work he hopes to get (the construction/repair) and part of his bidding cost, an architect (and engineer) makes his living giving advice and consultation and developing designs and cost estimates - so giving it away for free is sort of like a dentist doing sample fillings for free. Some will come to your house to discuss your concepts for 15-20 minutes for free, basically to see if they want to take you on as a client or feel your job is the type or size they want, but you should expect little or nothing in the way of a design or cost estimate for free - the most you might get would be an opinion on whether it sounds, off the cuff, like your budget is roughly in line with your desired scope of the project.

On more complex or up-scale remodels, it is not unusual to contact several architecture firms and request proposals - where they basically come see the site, then give you a sketch or few or more common today, computer-generated altered photos of your place, showing conceptually what they can do for you, then you choose the one you like the most and go with that one for final design. Typically $500-1000 range fee (each) to get that done for small jobs, larger jobs will typically be no charge but that assumes probably $25-50,000 plus anticipated fees if they get the job.

Bear in mind in the latter scenario you cannot pick and choose betweenthe best parts of each proposal - the architect owns the design and it is copyrighted, so while you can choose bui9lding elements (dormers, bay windows, etc) from any of the proposals, specific design or color combinations are copyrighted by the proposer.

he's an architech but he does absolutely NONE of the blue prints- he hasn't done any in years that I am aware of. Other people do the blue prints and he just signs them and uses his stamp...he does NOT even check them over. I know this because I was his assistant and friend for 6 years. He is an alcoholic, he got so drunk he blacked out and 'lost' $15000 in cash in his house. He asked me to look for it. I never found it but he had me charged with grand larceny. I NEVER EVEN SAW THE D*** MONEY! There were at least 3 other people in house that could have taken it- and one was there when he hid it.
.My point is- as an architech, he just signs the sheets and collects a large check for 5 minutes work. No real architech sees your blue prints to make sure they are correct.. DO NOT HIRE OR TRUST THIS MAN

The artistry and detail work of this company concerning our deck is fantastic.
Monroeville Architects Provider Name Locked
paid close attention to every detail and made certain we were fully satisfied with all aspects of the project. The workers were punctual, very kind and thorough. They cleaned up after themselves each day and were certain to keep things in order. We would definitely use this company again and have already recommended them to others.

I never followed through on this deal because I misunderstood what I was
getting myself into. Not sure what the $25 got me in the first place,
but once you're in you discover that you have to put up a good four
figures to drum up serious interest in your project and that buys you
little you can press into action. If you want Actual Plans a builder can
work from (various views/elevations, details such as plumbing and
electric) you have to pay more and more on an a la
Monroeville Architects Provider Name Locked
menu. And they
are depending on your photos and measurements--they never see the site
themselves--which strikes me as feet of clay in a building project. Seems to me it is better to work with a local who has access to your job site.

I purchased a home in the Celebrate development which has various
Monroeville Architects Provider Name Locked
mandated rules and regulations to abide by when making any change to the exterior of your home. Adding a deck was an obvious thing to do. I got estimates from three firms and Dreambuilders was a no-brainer choice--they have built virtually every deck/patio along my street and all four in my building. Their familiarity with dealing with the
Monroeville Architects Provider Name Locked
ensured that they had the most realistic proposal and and the best handle on costs. Work was completed as promised and we were able to work a modification to the plan to account for an unexpectedly steep slope behind the house. Highly recommended.

He met with us once and gave us a design. He was going to move walls that couldn’t be moved. I think he did what he thought he was supposed to do. He sent us a design that wasn't going to work unfortunately. We didn't get a total estimate and we didn't get to pick out anything.

In early 2014, I moved to
Monroeville Architects Provider Name Locked
county from Maryland and purchased an older house. I needed some major work done and was unfamiliar with any contractors in the area. I consulted the yellow pages and found
Monroeville Architects Provider Name Locked
. I called them to evaluate the project and requested an estimate. Mr. Dollman met with me at the job site and we reviewed my needs. I purchased a 36x30 steel building in February, but needed a contractor to erect the building. Not only was the building erection needed, but this job required foundation drawings, removal of several large trees, excavation of the site, building approval and permit by the county for the design of the building and accompanying lot, as well as insulation and electrical work which were not originally included in the plans. Mr. Dollman's company was able to work with my needs as changes in the plans indicated. All work was completed by
Monroeville Architects Provider Name Locked
, from the foundation for the building to completing the parking lot outside the garage. The building was quickly and professionally erected, with concrete pads and extra large garage doors.
The house we purchased had significant water damage by a door off the side of the house. Construction of a new porch area and repair of the damage was next. The company built a new porch and now this is my favorite entrance and exit into the house. The carpenters made improvements to the area so no new water damage would occur in the future.
The roof was twenty years old, and needed to be replaced. Mr. Dollman's company was fast and efficient replacing the roof. A steep A-frame house with skylights over a sunroom and edges which overlooked a steep incline with nowhere to deposit the old shingles presented a significant challenge to the roofers. The roofers were able to finish the job in ONE day, including clean up of the area. Great care was take to avoid damage from the workers to any structures or landscaping plants. The onsite supervisor of the work crews is knowledgeable and always available for questions and concerns.
The cost of this work was around ninety thousand dollars, but the work is professional and the employees are polite and conscientious. I am quite pleased with
Monroeville Architects Provider Name Locked
and have already spoken to Mr. Dollman regarding other projects I need to complete. I could not be happier with the work completed and highly recommend
Monroeville Architects Provider Name Locked
to anyone looking for a contractor.
On another note, the point of contact in the office is Crystal. She is very polite, friendly and dependable. A rare gem. Kudos to
Monroeville Architects Provider Name Locked
