He put in 3 of the 4 hours I had paid for and then left, saying that I would have the other hour to use at a future date.
On 9/5 I called to inform the service that I was getting error messages and that I would like to schedule him to come back and fix the problems. I set up an appointment for 3:00 on 9/9. Later, I got a call back and they asked that the appointment be tentatively changed to 9:00 on 9/11 because the technician would be in the hospital till then. The appointment was never confirmed.
The technician ultimately showed up on 9/11 anyway just as I was leaving for the doctor. He was fine with the mixup and only asked what he would be doing when we rescheduled. I told him that I wanted him to fix the error messages and also to install Windows 7 to replace XP. He then asked if he could quickly check the computer to assure that I ordered the correct Windows 7 operating system. I
Geeks called me later that day and asked that I buy Windows 7 from them for $185 which I did. They asked me to let them know when it arrived at my house and they would have the technician come out and install the operating system. I received the package yesterday and called them today to make an appointment.
When I called today, I was told that I had no time left on my original purchase of four hours because the technician had written on the 9/11 order that he spent the last hour evaluating my computer for the Windows 7 operating system (he had taken approximately 2 minutes to turn the computer over and look at the bottom!). When I asked to speak to a supervisor because there had apparently been some mis-communication, the service put me on extended hold and the supervisor did not come back on the line.
I believe that the technician is a good guy, but has limited skills as a technician. The office staff does not appear to have a customer service ethic or any interest in providing quality or complete services.
My computer at work locked up and would not reboot right in the middle of a time sensitive Inspection report that took three hours to put together. Our usual IT company we have been using for the past ten years was too busy and the soonest they could help me would be a couple days out.
I called a business associate and told him my frustration in getting my computer up and running and he recommended this company to me. I called and was pleasantly surprised to get a live IT person answering the phone named

The salesperson sold me the wrong mount for the TV which I didn't know was wrong until the Geek Squad brought it to install. I said that's not the mount I picked out. That's not going to swivel 90 degrees! Nice. When they figured out which one was needed for the TV I bought it turned out I couldn't have the one I saw in the store and the right one had to be ordered. 2 More weeks went by. Once it was finally installed and I was watching it while walking on my treadmill I had the volume up to 45 and still could barely hear it. I thought good grief I'm the one telling my husband to turn the volume down all the time so it's not my hearing that's a problem. Come to find out after calling the store again, that apparently most flat screen TVs have tiny itsy bitsy speakers on the backside of the TV that don't really put out much volume and "most people buy additional speakers". REALLY?
