We had an outage of phone and Internet service in May. I called Frontier to report this and in the course of conversation was told by the customer service rep that he could put us on a faster Internet speed for less money, which amounted to $2.64/month. We could stay on a month-to-month, no contract, and there was no fee for that. For a faster speed, why not? We were also to receive credit for the days of the outage. The next month when I got my bill, it was $7 higher than we had been paying. Nothing had been credited. I called customer service again. The rep told me there were credits that had not been applied, he applied them, and gave me the new amount of that bill, which I then paid, and was told the next bill would be correct.
This month, our bill was $10 MORE than our original bill, when it was supposed to be ~$2.50 lower. I called yet again, and was informed this time that the original rep we spoke to gave us incorrect information. The new amount with the faster Internet speed was supposed to be $10 more than he told us and of course the new rep had no idea why the original rep told me that; and there were indeed charges for staying on month-to-month with no contract. I was further informed that if I didn't pay this bill, I would incur late charges. The rep said the only way to lower our bill now is to add DISH TV through Frontier, or go back to our original plan where we had the lower Internet speed. I declined the first and chose the latter. The rep informed me that if I pay the $10 higher bill now, I will receive a credit on NEXT month's bill. We'll see...
In summary, I called about a service problem, was pounced on by a salesman who turned out to be a con artist, given incorrect information and am now forced to pay higher costs for a service I was not looking for in the first place.

They find any way they can to inflate your bill. Do not fall for their "bundling" of
services. This is a ploy to get you to pay extra, even though they lie
and say it will save you money. And you can no longer deal with your
other service providers regarding billing. I spent hours on the phone
with these people only to get ripped off for over $300 when they claim
they are "saving" me money. They act like their customers are stupid
and can't figure out their own bills. I had to call to get unauthorized
charges removed ALMOST EVERY MONTH. And I don't change anything. But
somehow extra things always ended up on my bill. The actual service is
somewhat reliable, but still twice as many outages as my local cable
company, but way better than the
& pa outfits selling service.
The only way I would use
again is if I moved to an area
where they are the only provider, but I wouldn't like it.

I've been satisfied with the tv and internet service but after almost 2 weeks I still cannot receive calls at my telephone number. After a week I called the installer and left a message. His message indicated that he would call back within 24 hours. I did not receive a call back. I then contacted the AT&T customer service number. I explained the problem with the phone number and was told that I would be transferred to the "right department." I was disconnected. Next I tried the live chat customer service option. After answering some questions and explaining the problem, I was told that someone from

would call me within 5-10 minutes. I received no return call. I tried the direct

customer service number and was told that the original order did not contain an instruction to port over an existing phone number, even though I specifically asked that question when placing the order, and that I would have to talk to the sales department directly about that issue. I told the help line person that I needed to leave and he said that he would have the sales department call me. I still have not received a return call from anyone at AT&T. This is without a doubt the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. I will persist on calling them whenever I have time but after this experience I would caution anyone about doing business with AT&T. My experience has been incredibly unsatisfactory.

Finally, I had to drive to supply location and pick up new Router/Modem and install with instructions over the phone. CABLE SERVICE IS JUST AS BAD.

First 3 months of 2014 we had many incidents of failing service at our new home in Luray, Virginia. They did credit us for the days of service we had missed after there were many. FINALLY,

was able to stabilize the issues. We have had about 3 months of stable service now. Having a few problems with the speed of our internet service now, but just need to contact them AGAIN. I am certain they will fix it. If the service was not as good as it is across the board, we would have switched to another service company long, long ago. So I guess we are ok with it.

Can be quite slow during business hours and after school. I hold off large downloads till late at night.

I subscribed to DirecTV and they bundled

in with them for a Special Price. I asked directly about streaming Netflix and the salesman said that would be no problem at all. He said the only issue would be online realtime gaming. That would run slow.
I had the equipment installed and I logged onto Netflix with a brand new Sony 3D BlueRay player and ever five minutes it would buffer for 5 mins. I called that night to get the problem fixed. What I got were platitudes like "I understand" and "I'm sorry for that" with no meaning behind the words. This only furthered my frustration. took 17 seconds just to load the home page.
They told me the "equipment had to get used to the environment" and that my router was outdated. So we pulled the ethernet cable out of the router and plugged it directly into my laptop. We then logged onto their website and ran a speed test which came out quite fast. I then unplugged the ether net cable from the laptop and back into the router and ran the same test with the same fast results. My other devices were faster too but the speed seemed slower than the 6Mb speed minimum that I was promised.
Almost as soon as I hung up the speed began to slow. In the morning my wife tried again to stream Netflix with the same terrible results as we had the day prior. She called and had to go through the same drill that I went through yesterday with the same results.
I canceled my subscription to their internet today and have also filed a complaint with the BBB. I have a complaint number with them. It is ID 10144390

I've had service in Colorado Springs for several years and had several billing problems. I called recently to get my service switched to my Bellevue NE address and that's when the trouble really started.
I was first told that billing would not be suspended while the service was not being used. I would continue to be billed at the old address until I started service at the new address. I then called back to cancel and was helped by someone who said billing would be suspended and that I could set a date to start service. I was not sure of the start date so I set a date in early August to have service turned on after being advised that I could change it when I had a better idea as to when to restart.
On 7/21/14, I called to get the date switched. I waited approximately 20 minutes to talk to someone only to be told they weren't able to help and need to transfer me to someone else. I was transferred to someone and was told they were not able to hear me. The person said a number to call and disconnected.
At that point, I tried the chat option instead of waiting on hold. After getting a bunch of verification information, The person on chat told me the installation date could not be changed and immediately disconnected. So I called again. This time, a woman (working from home, from the sound of kids screaming in the background) said she was unable to find anywhere on the form to change the date. She said she was going to talk with her manager and after several holds, came back on the line and said she was not sure how to help me.
After that, I called in once again and cancelled all service.

It all went very smoothly.
At one time, 2 yrs ago we had 3 computers and 2 laptops. We used the computers for school as I homeschool our 6 children. More than once there would be some kind of snafu, either a cord accidently got pulled out or one of the younger two tried to download something from the internet, just anything we were unable to figure out. . . . . .they have always been quick to either talk us through how to fix something or to come on out to our house and fix it themselves.
Considering we live so far from a "real" town, I have been really surprised with how great our internet service is. It is fast and reliable. We haven't ever had it go out or do something weird on us like we did when we live din a large town and not far from the actual tower!
