"I was quoted a $125 for the first half hour. I had marked in the attic where the water was coming in prior to their arrival. They quickly found the problem area (a depressed nail) and fixed it - total time about 25 minutes.
The techs were punctual and polite. As they left they presented me with a bill that was $30 more than had been quoted. I called the office and they amended it to the original $125.
Would hire again.

completed a full roof repair/replacement August '10 getting repairs done just before a hurricane at a reasonable cost ($2,900). Two and a half years later I noted 2 areas of the roof leaking after a large snow/ice fall. Due to complications it took about a week for them to get to me. The supervisor arrived on time and was polite the work took less than an hour and completed the fix for no charge and made sure to tell me that if there were any other problems they would come out as soon as possible.

"Prompt estimate. Job was delayed because of weather. The crew arrived on a Saturday Morning at 7:30 am and had a 2900 square foot double

roof removed and complete with plywood replacement yard cleaned up and in dumpster by 8:15 pm that night! The crew didn't leave a scrap in my yard.If it wasn't for the dumpster in the driveway you wouldn't know they were there. We felt sorry for them it was a very hot day and they never stopped! They were back on Sunday and completed the gutters ,and capping work complete by that afternoon

"The energy audit was fine at my first visit. Second visit I was told a blower door test would be done to get a baseline read on the efficiency of the house before any work was done--not conducted. I was also told I would have all my recessed lights covered--less than half were covered because they were "inaccessible"--something I was not told about during my initial audit. I was also told by the crew "well we don't normally do residential installs" which also made me uncomfortable, like why was that crew even sent in the first place??? Fast forward to that evening when we had a gusty storm and I felt the stiff breeze in my bedroom once again. I spoke to several people at the

and was given a run around but finally after being persistent I got my original sales person and his manager to come out who admitted that yes, the work was NOT up to par. Not only were lights not covered (and they could have been covered using other techniques--"not accessible" should not have been an excuse) and a blower door test not conducted but the placement of the FSK was not done neatly as it should have been.

Yesterday I had a second crew come out. No one clearly explained to them the job that needed to be done so once again I had to go through the whole thing chapter and verse and try to remember exactly what the manager said needed to be changed since he did not attend the install. Immediately I was told some of my recessed lights were "inaccessible" and could not be covered. Since I was promised they'd all be covered I asked the crew to call their manager and explain the situation. Why it even had to get to that point yet again I don't know considering they were specifically there to address every single light. After that they took the extra time to measure and find the lights under the decking and cut into the decking and cover them so FINALLY all the lights got covered. They also cleaned up the FSK and added a better solution in terms of insulating the cathedral ceiling in my bedroom. Most importantly they finally ran 2 blower door tests--one at the beginning and one at the end. There was a difference in energy efficiency but of course I can never go back in time to before the initial work was done to see exactly the difference made.

My time and energy was totally wasted during this entire process, most of the work could have been done during the first visit (at that point the weather was too inclement to install the roof vent--but literally that only took about 1 hour once they were able to get on the roof) and I had to have 2 manager visits out here--first to assess the way the work was done improperly and then they're coming back out tomorrow to make sure this work is actually done right. What also scares me is that this sub-par work done during my first install visit would have just stood, no one would have proactively made things right for me except that I complained and it took complaining to several different people to even get that far.

Additionally I've spoken to several people who've been able to get the same work done for about 1/2 the price using other contractors, so even price-wise they're far from competitive.

I went with the
Lansdale Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
because of all their positive Angies List reviews so I felt it was important that my story was told. I don't know if this experience is completely out of the ordinary or if other people also had sub-par work done but just haven't experienced the ill effects of it yet.

UPDATE: I had someone else from the
Lansdale Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
reach out to me. When I mentioned I was still having temperature issues in my bathroom they reneged on the original manager's offer to fix another problem that was erroneously not caught during my original audit. I didn't know it was possible to be even less satisfied now than when I wrote the original review but that's how I feel. Excuses were provided but no remedies were offered. Not worth $3K and 10 hours of time.

"When they got on the job, instead of taking two days, they got the roof done in a day. The gutters where replaced, once they got here, in a couple of hours. They did a very good job replacing both, and did a excellent job cleaning up. The only thing wrong, which wasn't all that bad, was that they were a day late starting each phase of the job. Also, their price was very competitive.

came through with the best price out five other bids. Extras were done at a reasonable price with workers working late to complete the job. I feel I got a quality job at a reasonable price.

"Our second service call by this honest, motivated, excellent gutter-and-roof local entrepreneur fulfilled repairs he diagnosed on our first service call, which was for Angie's List "Big Deal" best-price gutter cleaning and roof inspection, when we requested to be sent online the repairs estimate he quickly fulfilled later as quoted.
The repairs included matching and replacing a few cosmetic roof shingles with better

3-tab for our roof he reported in good condition including original 50-year-old chimney flashing; rehanging two fallen gutter caps with zip screws; and sealing all, for $225 with nothing left behind for our clean up.
(We paid him a little extra for his helpful willingness on the first call to put his ladder back up to trim a tall bush overhanging one of the two gutter downspouts unclogged for us quickly after checking all and referring us to plumbing for repair of downspout ends' various configurations.)

"First contacted them on 11/6. They called me on 11/8 and told me they would look at the outside of the roof that day (when I was not yet home from work). They asked me a few questions about the roof when we were on the phone, and said because my roof was not old, they suspected it was an issue with my chimney. They never called me back to let me know what they saw on the roof. I don't even know if they looked at the roof that day. Have not heard from them since.

"They were prompt and professional. Showed up exactly when they said. Took pictures of the issue and promptly emailed them to me. They determined it was a chimney issue, not a roof issue. They do not do chimney work.

"I got three estimates for the work. C&C was the lowest but I don't think necessarily because they were the cheapest but because they were the most sensible? Time will tell. C&C was the only roofing estimate I got that wanted to put new rubber vent collars over the old ones versus taking up shingles, taking out the entire roof collar assemblies and installing new ones. If I didn't find my roof pitch and height so intimidating I would have done it the way C&C did it. Also I saw

perform the repair the same way on "Ask This Old House". They were the last estimate I got so I did not ask the first two why they felt the more labor intensive solution was better.
The only negative was I originally contacted C&C through their website, got an email confirming they got my message, but then I never heard back. I did call them a week or so later and they said they were having problems with their website. Another roofer I contacted, same thing. Bottom line is I would always call in the future and not bother with website contacts. I don't think the companies should even have them if they're not 100% reliable as they're liable to

potential customers.
