"I have been using for several months. began this as a side venture but now is going full time. He has always done" an exceptional job. He's polite, professional, cheerful, and very easy to work with. If he can't do something, he's honest enough to tell you up front. He also does some handyman work but as I haven't employed him for other than yard work, I can't yet attest to his skill.

"We contracted for to do tree work at our home and we’re so happy with all they did. was prompt in setting up" an appointment and giving an estimate. We received 3 other company’s estimates, two of which were in the same range, but felt the was the right person for the job with good prices.Because of his professionalism and very pleasant demeanor, I knew working with him would go well. He was very responsive every time I called and he supplied the insurance information I requested. This man was so courteous and willing to work with me to stay within my budget. The climber demonstrated amazing skills in dropping the 60+ ft. trees. and his workers did an excellent job in a 3 day time frame plus cleaned up every day before leaving. No slackers in the group. Originally, the contract consisted of cutting down 4 very large diseased elm trees that were on a super steep hill with very, very limited access. We added 2 trees to the job and accommodated me by working the extra trees into the schedule. He met the challenges but also importantly, he was true to his word and did what he promised. No delays, no excuses, no need for me to follow-up on the scheduled work and I felt very comfortable knowing I didn’t have to worry which is a big thing for senior citizens. I wish all contractors were like . I am sure there were others who could remove the trees but Earthworks gave that extra sense of respect for my needs. Thanks for everything, and

Lawn Care & Fertilizers

How to Get Rid of Springtails

One of the most effective ways to control springtails is to dry out the infested area. Springtails require a high-moisture environment to breed and thrive, living mostly off of algaes that grow in moist conditions. They will either leave the infested area or die out. If there is an infestation that cannot be controlled by drying out the infested area, use an appropriately labeled insecticide with a residual time These will typically be a liquid concentrate form, a wet-able powder form, or a dust product.  DO NOT APPLY UNTIL AREAS ARE DRY.  If area will not dry naturally, use Corn Starch to soak-up any lingering moisture and otherwise 'steer' any rain water or irrigation away from area.

Also, if there is a noticed springtail infestation around the perimeter of the structure, use the insecticide to do a barrier treatment and apply corn starch to reduce or eliminate moisture. Caulk and seal all cracks and crevices and inspect potted plants before they are brought into the house.

I would talk to your local lawn and garden supply store (or mill and feed) - NOT a box store or hardware store. There are also selective grass control chemicals. YOu can research this by Googling using search string      "Tall Fescue Control" - there are lots of articles by the USDA and individual state cooperative extension services.

There is a treatment called chlorsulfuron TFC (Tall Fescue Control) that will do this - it worked for me in western New York, but took 3 years to finish out all the tall fescue. It may now be limited to use by commercial applicators - pretty potent stuff. Can yellow bluegrass or make it phytosensitive, but our looked OK during treatment because the TFC was applied in the fall for best results, and our lawn was dormant till spring anyway.

Tall fescue can also be controlled by real short mowing, but only in areas where the bluegrass is dominant and really thrives so will eventually crowd out the trimmed fescue, but you may be too far north for that.

Lawn Care reviews in Johnstown

11/9 - the date I scheduled 5 -6 weeks earlier came and went and nothing from . I felt my neighbors irritation over my leaves blowing into their lawns. I mowed/mulched my front lawn just out of frustration thinking was behind, but tried to be flexible. On 11/15, I called - where ...More were they? And I'd like my estimate lessened as I did over half the lawn myself. called back a day later and was rude and short with me. "When did you even schedule anyway? I can't even find when we came out. Who did you speak to?” No apologies to me – a new customer who needed services for fall and winter – at all! I hadn't broken my end of the deal! Sorry . Your business failed at the most basic thing: follow through and scheduling. And then you failed at customer service. Never blame the customer!!

To prepare for winter and his crew did a final mowing and trimming. They trimmed bushes and small trees. They cut down dead flowers and removed all fallen leaves. They hauled away all waste. The yard looks great and is ready for winter. He is friendly and professional. I would recommend his services to anybody.

I have been using 's for 2 seasons and will continue to use them in the future. They are very punctual and dependable. My lawn always looks beautiful and they are priced very reasonable.

I sent provider message on a Wednesday via Angie's list requesting quote. Provider responded that they would be out Friday to survey the property. They did not show Friday or any other day, and did not respond to two follow-up emails. Nearly two weeks later still no response.
- Larry D.

was very knowledgable and considerate. He informed me of what he was going to do then kept me up to speed during the process, including what he would be able to do to turn on the system next spring.
- Steve M.

They replaced walls and woodwork in our home that were damaged by a burst water pipe and replaced a broken window. They were prompt and always cleaned up at the end of the day. The finished work was great. I would recommend them and hire again if the need arose.
- Nancy K.

Service was not reliable, and not completed correctly. Consistently cut the grass too short, or not at all. Quality of the work was not high -- there was damage that needed to be repaired by another vendor. The estimates for other work were 3X what other licensed contractors quoted. Billing was inaccurate and difficult to resolve. Some members of ...More our community have also complained of the same problems. Would not recommend.

- Anne G.

The 2 guys who came to do the work were professional and knowledgable. They listened carefully to what I wanted to have done, repeated the instructions back to me, and then set about the work. They did an outstanding job - even better than what I had visualized the result would be.
