"I called and my washing machine was repaired within 24 hours. Mr.
was very professional and knew exactly what the problem was, had the part" on his truck and was finished in less than an hour. This repair was taken care of as efficiently as was the refrigerator repair I called him for in November of 2014. I will highly recommend his company to anyone.

-Russ L.

"The provider arrived one day after my call, assessed the situation and replaced a wheel with a failed ball bearing in less than an hour. This is a repair business" that I now know has had years of success, and the one I will call will any repair needs.

If the ducts are venting through a window I'm assuming the duct work is all easily accessible.  Lowe's and Home Depot sell a cleaning kit that uses an electric drill to spin the brush as it goes through the ductwork.  I've found it to work quite well and you can do it yourself.  It may take a few passes the first time to get everything out if it has been a while since it was last cleaned.  Just make sure you get all of the loose lint out after running the brush through from both ends and you're good to go.  Please note that if the line is not hard but rather a flex duct line you can easily puncture a whole in it with this kit and will do better to clean it by hand.

As stated above, it can vary between companies.

Typically just an inspection implies you do not have a contract or agreement that may include discounts or free repairs.

With our company you would get the annual maintenace service that you should do every year, and if repairs are needed, they are extra, but you aviod paying a "service call charge" that would be related to most repairs, because you are paying for the "inspection" and we are already on site.

Inspections are often discounted in the slow seasons, and can usually be found advertised , at reduced prices , on Angie's List.

So consider Angie's List and find the best of the best in HVAC contractors!

I have never seen one of this type that does not exit the house. You would not want the grease dumping into your basement, even with a filter it will happen.

The greater part of your job will be carpentry as if there is a wall behind the stove a hole will have to be cut up through the basement into the wall up to the stove. Unless it is one of the stoves that allows for it to fit inside a cabinet below. To answer correctly most here would be a picture of where this project is being done. I have done motorized ones that extend up out of the counter when in use and then retract. Those exit through the cabinet and require the cook top is to the front of the counter and not a drop in one

As an added note these tend to be better as they do not pull the heat away from the stove top when in use as much as the ones flush with the stove. I have install quite a few and happen to have an Amana cook top with built in down draft and I have to shut it of to get water to boil on the back burners.

A carpenter will know what can be cut and what not in the basement, a sheet metal contractor should know as well but at the other end for the finish by the stove they might not. Most carpenters that do kitchens have installed the minimal amount of duct work for this. They just have to be carefull with the number of ellbows and the lenght of the duct.

Appliance Repair reviews in Hooversville

My first contact was to secure a repair worker about repairing a squeel in my 7-yr-old dryer. The soonest they could make an appoinment was for a $79 diagnostic in 3 weeks. (All repair companies I contacted charge the same amount [!] except for the one I later chose.) The diagnostician was to arrive anywhere between 12-5 that day. By 2:30 I thought to call for an ETA, and was told I was on the end of his route. I asked if the 12-5 window covered the time spent on the job, or just arriving at the door. "Ideally," I was told, "any work is done by 5." The worker called me at 5:15 about coming over; I had an engagement to go to, so told him I accepted plan B earlier offered by the office staff to reschedule for a full week later.
Instead, I called

's Appliance Repair and got the diagnostic and repair completed the next day, and I suspect at half the cost.

It went very well. He arrived right on time, was very informative, and was done in a very timely manner. I really appreciated the advice he gave me about some of my other appliances that I have had a few problems with such as my dishwasther and my washing machine. He seemed extremely knowlegeable and I was very please with the service call.

Dryer was not drying. It was tumbling clothes, blowing air, but result was wet clothes. Made appt for repairmen from large co. but he was a no show. Checked online, found good reviews at various sites for Mr.

and called his co. He arrived next day, repaired dryer, cleaned out lint, checked washer, assured me all was well and that both machines had several more years of use in them. I will use him again in future. He repairs all major appliances.

When I called on a Thursday afternoon it was answered quickly by a real person. After hearing my description he said he thought he could get someone there that day but he would have to hang up and call one of his service technicians out in the field. He called back within 10 minutes to say that his guy could be here that same day between 1 and 3.

got here close to 3. He

down on the floor to access the dishwasher ?innards", poked around for a few minutes and diagnosed the problem. I thought $169 - total - for the repair was reasonable (the part cost $60) so I gave the go?ahead. He had to go back to his store to get the part but that took only about 15 minutes. Another 15 minutes later and my appliance was good as new.

was very friendly and informative - I'd give him a gold star. I will definitely be calling these guys back for any future appliance repair needs.

Despite the overall B grade, I think it is important to say here that I would not hesitate to use this provider again for large appliance repair. Here's why.
Suspecting I had a frozen or clogged drain tube but not knowing exactly how to access it, I found several appliance repair firms offering what appeared to be flat rate labor deals for large appliance repair. In pre-purchase communications
Hooversville Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
was the best at promising to honor the flat rate labor deal, so I selected them. Although I was told I didn't need to do anything to prepare, I cleaned out the freezer and most of the refrigerator before the tech arrived; and it was a good thing I did, because things would have gotten messy and frazzled if I had had to do this after the tech arrived. This is the first reason I am rating their service as B rather than A.
On the day of the appointment the technician called to say he could arrive early, which was nice. He quickly agreed with my diagnosis of the problem, and quickly proceeded to access the drain tube and thaw it with lots of warm water. He definitely knew what he was doing, and water was soon draining through the drain tube again; but despite my asking, he didn't give me what I would consider positive assurance that my problem had been caused by a freeze resulting from poor design rather than a partial (and presumably still existent) clog. As a result, I worry that a partial clog remains to cause this problem again, and this is the second reason I am rating the service B rather than A.
The final reason I am rating the service B rather than A is price. I know this isn't fair, because I am happy that they fixed my refrigerator for the paid-in-advance price; and I have to say that, if my repair had been more difficult and if they had fixed that more difficult problem for the paid-in-advance price, I would have been thrilled! But the fact is my problem wasn't that difficult to fix, so I don't feel I got my money's worth. As I said I know this isn't fair; and this is why I began this review by saying that I would not hesitate to use this provider again.

I woke up today to find that my refrigerator was leaking. All my food in the freezer had thawed out and the ice melted. Being a Sunday, I wasn't sure if I could get someone out. I tried calling Nutterman's and left a voicemail, but they never called back. I then called Every Day Appliance Repair and left a message. They promptly returned my call and dispatched an oncall repairman to the house, informing me that he had a couple appointments before me so it would take about an hour and a half. They said he would call me 15 minutes before arrival. They followed through perfectly!

, the repair man, was super nice, clean cut, and professional. He found that my control board was fried and showed it to me. He had a replacement on the truck so was able to replace it on the spot! He then tested to make sure everything worked ok, which it did.
I couldn't be more pleased! Hopefully I won't have the need for another appliance repair anytime soon, but if I do, I will be calling Every Day Appliance Repair!

It was challenging to schedule
Hooversville Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
, as it was easier for me to email and text - this latter option is one that the company's website seem to encourage.
Hooversville Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
, however, prefers to confirm everything over the phone in a person to person conversation - not via voice mail or text. I tried to schedule via text and he ended up calling me and left a v/m to call him. I called and got his v/m. He called me back and we scheduled an appointment. When I texted a few days before to re-schedule, he phoned me and told me to call him. I called and left him a v/m that I needed to cancel and reschedule - I didn't hear back from him. He phoned on the Friday morning of the cancelled appointment to let me know he was on his way. Luckily, I was able to pick up his call and we rescheduled for the following Friday at noon.
All the scheduling hassle aside,
Hooversville Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
arrived within his one hour window and he's professional. It took him one minute to assess the problem. All-in-all he was in and out in 15-20 minutes (this time also accounts for a quick trip to his truck for a part, payment and receipt, and elevator rides up and down). Clearly,
Hooversville Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
is an expert in his field - and you pay for it. The rate was 150 to show up which included a minimum of an hour's worth of work. The part was $35 - which is good price considering it costs twice as much Online.
Hooversville Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
extended me a $20 discout since I was an Angie's List member - total came to $184 less $20 = $164.
Summary - While
Hooversville Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
might be a bit pricey, he knows his stuff, is professional and is't looking to rip people off. So yes, I would use him again in an instant....even if we have to schedule everything via person to person phone calls.

The contact with
Hooversville Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
in the office went very smoothly and professionally.
Hooversville Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
was very diligent in his performance, very clean and polite. He thought the problem with the dryer not heating up and drying the clothes was probably due to a lot of lint buildup in the dryer itself and the venting behind the dryer. He gave me an estimate of the cost to clean out the lint. I was a bit undecided as to whether to have him proceed with the work (estimated at approximately $200, in addition to the $39 trip charge which I had already paid). I wasn't sure about how wise it would be to put that much money into an older dryer. He mentioned the cost of a new clothes dryer. Because we plan to move in a couple of years and don't want to move a washer/dryer set, I told him to do the work. I observed him at work, and I know he did the best he could regarding the lint issue (which was bad). As it turns out, the dryer does not dry much better than it did, and I believe it is due to a bad heating element. In hindsight, I should have bought a new dryer. This is not his fault, but it does rather affect my review of the situation. I would still use him again.
