Business Description: A Child's Nest is a division of Grow and Learn Centers, Inc. We opened in January 2007 as a private, non-sectarian Early Education and Child Care Center located at 1600 Delmar Drive (on the corner of Delmar Dr. and Primos Ave.) in Folcroft, Pennsylvania. The Center is licensed to operate by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. This license/Certificate of Compliance is renewed on a yearly basis, and state licensing representatives conduct periodic on-site inspections. In addition, the Center participates in the Keystone STARS program, Pennsylvania’s quality initiative for childcare. We conform to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations regarding the operation of this facility, including those pertaining to education, nutrition, health and sanitation, child-abuse, non-discrimination, safety, employment and confidentiality. Our Center Director is responsible for all classroom and educational supervision of the Center. All our employees undergo a thorough background check as required by law, and classroom staff members are trained in first aid and CPR. Our Center is a bright cheerful environment that encourages active learning. It's also a great place to have fun! We believe that play is an important part of early childhood, and it has many benefits for the intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and language development of children. Children build skills as they interact with people and objects in a rich environment. Our classroom activities provide lots of hands-on opportunities for kids to see how things work, solve problems, and make discoveries. Most of our children spend many hours each week at A Child's Nest. We think it's vital for children to feel comfortable, secure, and cared for while they are at our Center. We believe in nurturing children, by offering love, respect, and listening In addition to helping their young minds grow, we seek to foster feelings of self-confidence and self-esteem in children. Finally, we recognize that parents and families are a child's first teachers. They play a key role in preparing children for success in school. Our teachers work in collaboration with families, to establish and maintain regular, two-way communication. It's All About The Children!
