"I spoke with
twice on the phone. I told him I was't sure exactly what was wrong with my sliders. I told him I have trouble with the" doors and the screens and have been told by a number of handymen that the tracks need to be replaced.
said he didn't repair screens at all but could replace the tracks if needed.
was punctual. He looked briefly and said there was nothing he could do. He said the tracks and doors were fine and the problem was with the screens. He said he only replaces wheels on doors and said that is what he had told me. I would not have had him come out if that' all he had told me he did, as I was told the problem was with the tracks.
stated that there is virtually nothing you can do about screens. He said they were made as an "after thought" to doors and they simply don't work well after awhile. He had no suggestions. Then he said the service call would be $69.00. "But, he said, if you give me $20.00 I won't write it up and we'll call it even." (I'm not sure what that means since he's the owner.) I gave him $15.00, although I wish I hadn't given him anything as he did nothing and was at my house 10 minutes! Beware!!!

"
/
did an awesome job on our door project - We would use him again without hesitation and" highly recommend
for any Door or Window project.
takes a lot of pride in his work and it shows. This was a challenging project because we wanted our sidelights replaced with half sidelights with decorative glass. None of the door vendors offered this option in the sidelight size we needed so we thought we were going to be stuck settling for something that wasn't exactly what we wanted. I called several vendors personally and was told what we wanted couldn't be done.
called Provia and arranged for a custom build of our sidelights so in the end we got exactly what we wanted and couldn't be happier.
was in constant communication with us throughout the process. He and his team were highly professional, courteous, and great with my kids They cleaned up constantly as they worked and afterwards They cut no corners during the installation - wood root was removed when encountered. When the right color caulk wasn't shipped with the door, they tracked it down instead of just using a close match This was not a cheap project but that is because we chose an expensive door. I think the labor itself was very reasonable for the time they spent and the quality they delivered.

?

Hello - I hope my answer will help point you in the right direction.

The reason you're having a hard time getting clear information is because there are hundreds of companies saying their window is the best. There are probably millions of different features you can choose to have for your windows and in price ranges from $169-$1200 (per double-hung window).

I've been in the business for 15 years and have seen many different window products from many different dealers and manufacturers. This all comes down to: "what's important for you and your home?" If you want a strong warranty from a company who has a full-time service department to give you piece of mind and service your windows should needs be, or are you looking at only those companies who offer true wood interior windows that you can paint or stain to match the home decor? Whatever is your hot-button, then that's where you want to start.

I would recommend you first choose how you want your new windows to look. Wood-interior with vinyl clad is only offered by certain companies, while there is a vinyl woodgrain finish to give you similar results without the maintenance. If you're only looking for a white interior and don't want the maintenance, a fiberglass or vinyl window would be the best choice from what is offered in the market today (vinyl will be less expensive - not necessarily cheaper quality). If you are going to change out a window to a french door and a door to a window, then you WILL NEED to find a contractor with some carpentry experience. Some companies will tell you upfront that they do not handle those sorts of remodeling projects due to the complexity and time it would take to get it complete.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to personally help you with your project as we work in the New England Area. However, if you wish to talk further, please feel free to email me at: sven@ritewindow.com and I'll be happy to let you know our prices for what we offer so you can compare and hopefully find a similar company to do the work for you near the Austin area.

Cheers!

Get your roofer back out there.  Course of shingles above the window need to be pulled, self sealing flashing, drip caps, and counter and step flashing are going to be required here.

This is a flashing issue as the window connects to the mansard roof surface.

Condensation and a leak are two different and very noticeably different (i.e. volume) things.

Flashing and roofing on Mansards can be tricky but is sounds very much like a roofing issue.

?

+1

Much easier to scratch and typically not as good a finished quality as compared to glass.

Benefits are the resistance to breakage as mentioned by LCD.  Any glazing shop should be able to re-create that panel.

?

For a broken window (or leaking seal in multi-pane unit), for a standard roughly 2x3 foot window, can run from low of about $75-125 for single pane to more like $200-300 range for triple pane, depending on construction and any special ultraviolet or heat reflective coatings. If a removeable window unit, of course cheaper to remove it and take to replacement glass place then have them come out, measure glass size, order glass unit, then come back to install.

If taking in yourself, commonly they can do single-pane in an hour or two, but count on a week or so typically for sealed double or triple pane unit to come in, so you will have to seal the opening in the interim. That is an advantage of having them come out - they measure and determine type of unit on first visit and can seal with tape and plastic sheeting (if you have not already done that), then come back with new unit and install a week or two down the road - but you are not stuck with an opening in the wall for a long time.

Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
installed doors all throughout our basement when we hired him for our basement finishing project. He installed a variety of different doors and did a great job. When we discovered that some of the doors had a brass finish instead of the brushed nickel finish that we wanted, he quickly swapped out the doors without any complaints. He did a great job meticulously painting each door white. We are very pleased with his work and he was very agreeable and easy to work with.

A spring on my garage door broke today. I searched Angie's list and pulled a coupon for
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
Doors after seeing their A rating. I called and was amazed when they said I could get service within 90 minutes. Just like that my garage was running again. The serviceman also lubed the hinges and adjusted the opener for me. Can't ask for a quicker response. The coupon saved me 10%.

I contacted
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
, the owner at
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
, to replace our old drafty front door and screen door. We have an old house and the old door frame likely still had lead paint on it. I made sure he was a lead-safe contractor, and indeed he was.
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
is a wealth of knowledge and super helpful in finding us the right doors for our budget. He was able to come measure the door without us being home -- very convenient.
From placing the order to the time of installation was about two weeks -- which was great because we wanted the doors to be in before the real cold weather got here.
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
, his installer, was great. The day he came for the installation, my brother happened to be visiting with my 8-month old
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
. Knowing that a baby was in the house,
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
took extra care to vacuum up everything -- especially the lead dust, and was meticulous about every part of the process. He wasn't able to get everything done in one day (esp. since the sun goes down so early these days) so he came back that weekend to finish the job.
The doors looked perfect. However, the manufacturer forgot to ship a small part (the screw covers) for the screen door, so
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
had to order them separately, which meant
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
had to come back a third time to install it. With the holidays and another small hiccup with shipping (manufacturer's error), it took a few weeks before the last bit of the door was completed. But to be honest, I didn't mind because it's just cosmetic stuff, and also because
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
kept me in the loop and was ever so apologetic.
It's now been 2 months since we got the doors in, and I could not be happier. They look great, and you can HEAR the seal when we close the door. I know my heating bills this winter will be significantly lower.
Last note--
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
is the nicest and most reachable/responsive contractor I've ever worked with. It truly was a pleasure.

The 5 man crew that installed my windows on January 23rd, 2015 did a phenomenal job installing the windows in my house. They were complete professionals in the way they went about installing the window, and they were also very personable individuals that made me realize fully that I made the correct decision in choosing The
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
& Windows to buy and install my windows. I realize that there is a premium added in purchasing
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
Windows and in purchasing those windows from The
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
& Windows. But is it really more, if you get what you are paying for? The windows surpassed my expectations. They look good, and I could immediately see the superior quality when I looked out and realized I was seeing the traffic go by; but couldn’t hear it like I did coming through my other windows.

I would recommend these windows to my neighbors, and the installation by the crew that did mine.

Thank You to

marble was defective and after several phone conversations,
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
contacted marble maker and we did get a nominal credit. Felt subcontractor should have checked marble for defects and
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
should stand behind vendors they use in satisfying the customer. It all worked out but as a customer, I had to be insistent and felt I should not have had to insist on them correcting situation.

From the estimate to the I stall at ion everything went excellent.
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
arrived on time and went over everything he could do within my budget to replace garage door and opener. After accepting the bid,
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
scheduled the installation and had the job completed on time and on budget. At no time did he try to sell services I did not need. He was able to install an insulated door in the color I wanted with a Liftmaster opener with the ability to open or close from my smartphone. The old door was hauled away and the area was cleaned. I couldn't be more pleased.

Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
installed a complete new bathroom, sink, toilet, and walk in shower in just a vacant wasted space. Once beginning work,
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
will not quit until he does the job beginning to finish and done beautifully. He actually built the walls, ceiling, cut through partitions, planned the
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
out, bought the supplies, described everything as he went along. He installed electrical outlets, cupboards, all in the right places. He pays attention to detail, and does finishing work. Nothing is left undone.
, Inn addition,
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
prepped our kitchen floor which was very uneven, made it completely level and was able to put in laminate flooring . Every piece of flooring fits perfectly and never any problems with it.
This week, 1/22/15,
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
again installed similar flooring after prepping, in our living room. This involved ripping out old carpet and under carpet, nails , broken flooring, closing up holes (old house) . Buying and delivering supplies, (2 trips) , moving heavy furniture, including a piano, and putting the flooring in.
Any extra work that needed to be done, he did, including installing an electrical outlet, rerouting cable wire to move the TV to a different spot in the room. After flooring was complete,
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
helped place the furniture back where we wanted it and wanted a change. He makes sure we are completely happy with his work and the finished project before he leaves our house. If we think of something else, he gladly comes back and checks it out. We would recommend
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
to everybody, you won't be sorry. And we will be using him again, I'm am sure.

We called
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
& Door and arranged for someone to come out to quote the work. We'd read reviews on Angie's List and were very impressed with what others had said.
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
came out and did a great job explaining the options and providing opinions on the different models and colors available. We settled on our choices and she had a quote to us the next day. We provided the authorization for work and they let us know that installation would be ready in about six weeks (door leadtime, etc). When they were ready for installation,
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
(the owner) called and we set up a time. On the day of installation,
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
and his crew arrived and did the entire install in one day. The install included the door, frame, weather strip, threshold, moulding, hardware, etc. The finished product was outstanding. We absolutely love the doors and couldn't have been happier with the way the project was handled from beginning to end. We'll recommend
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
& Door to all our family and friends if they're in the
Danville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
for new doors.
