"It was my first accident ever, which is never a pleasant experience. I went to
after getting a damage estimate from my insurance company," and FC made everything incredibly easy. When I went in to schedule an appointment,
looked at the car, and even got down on the ground underneath to see if there was any additional damage that he could see. He said the repairs would likely cost more than the insurance company's estimate--which I expected, because the insurance company typically returns an estimate that's too low. We made an appointment for two weeks later, and he had me fill out all the paperwork ahead of time so I could just drop the car off, get picked up by the rental car company, and be on my way. On the appointed day everything went completely as planned.
knew who I was the minute I walked in, told me he would be in touch with updates, and that he would be in touch with insurance company. True to his word, he called me at work the next day and told me approximately how much the repairs would cost and when the car would be finished. He even emailed me later that day to say that there would be no delay in getting the parts, so the car should be finished right on schedule in two more days. The car was finished a day ahead of schedule, and
's office called me. I wasn't able to pick it up that day because it was late in the day and I was still at work. We agreed that I would pay the bill with my credit card on the phone and they would leave the car for me in front of the office. because they would be closed when I came to pick it up. They even told me it was good I was picking it up the next day, because it would give them a
to clean the car up first. The next day the rental car company dropped me off at
, and there was my car right in front. I couldn't believe my eyes. Not only was the rear bumper like new, but the car had been completely washed and cleaned--even on the inside. The cleaned all the windows inside and out, all the interior surfaces, they took out the floor mats and cleaned them, and they even took out the rug/liner from the hatchback and cleaned that. The body work was impeccable--there is no indication the car had ever been damaged. All of this is to say that
not only does high quality work, but they are professional, friendly, easy to work with, and make the whole process as painless as possible. They were on schedule, and the price was almost exactly what they told me it would be. This will be my go-to body shop forever (although I hope I don't need it!). I should also add that their office is impeccably clean and professional looking. It doesn't look at all like a "garage." An added plus, for me anyway: they have three absolutely adorable dogs who are all too happy to undergo unlimited petting.

-Miriam B.

"I side swiped a car with my pick up truck, and
's was on the list of approved vendors from my insurance company, so I gave them a try." I couldn't have been happier with the work that they did. I took my truck there, they provided an estimate directly to my insurance company, and we scheduled the work. The day I dropped the truck off, they had made arrangements for me at Enterprise for a rental car. The entire process with smooth, and they keep me informed through everything. This was the best experience I could have asked for. Since then, I have referred multiple family members, and friends to them, and they have done a great job for them too! My vehicle was a 2011 Ram 1500. The next person I sent drove a smaller white Chevy. After that, my brothers fiance was in an accident with her 1 week old Volkswagen
. Most recently I sent someone who's teenager tore off the door of their
backing out of the garage. Every person that I have referred them to, has been just as happy as I was!

You could have paid a little more per month and gotten a lower deductible policy. The deductible is the amount you agreed to. To "get out of it" it is breaking the law. You probably thought, like we all do, that nothing will happen to me, so I'll get the cheapest per month. I think that's what most people do, so you're not alone there.

See if you can make  a deal with the repair company; they may let you pay a little per month. The repair shop may be your best best bet in getting some sort of "deal". Nothing illegal, of course.....

Next time though, think about paying a little more per month for a little more ins. (One-day less fast food lunch, or movie night, or smart phone, etc) and you can reduce your deductible quite a bit.
Hope that last paragraph doesn't sound too judgemental, it's what I'd tell my son or daughter. (Before they bought the crap insurance in the first place, if they'd only ask, right?)
Too late now though, just live and learn.

Auto Body Repair reviews in Danville

I asked about the 2006 Porsche Cayman S they had on the lot and the salesman told me he's not a "Porsche person," so he doesn't know anything about it. I asked if I could drive it and he said that's only possible after completing the purchase paper work because their insurance doesn't allow test drives of "high ticket vehicles." It's currently listed for $35,000 on a lot full of Lincolns, and Ford SuperDuty trucks listing for far more money and I'll bet they allow test drives of those. I don't know how they expect to sell the car if they don't allow test drives and they don't know how to look up the pertinent information about the car.
- Matthew W.

I really do not know what happened to this place. There were so many great reviews I trusted my car repairs to them, as paid for by an at fault driver's insurance. The first time through they lost my keys, dug a deep scratch in the bumper they had just ordered, painted and installed, and it didn't seem to bother them that the whole thing was out of alignment and the
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
wasn't opening properly. They simply wanted to push it out the door, finished or not.
I again trusted that with their great reputation this would be fixed, and I was told that parts would be ordered and things would be fixed. A week goes by and I haven't heard anything so I call back- nothing has been ordered and nothing has been done.
With many phone calls to their shop and to the insurance I finally have the car back in the shop, well over a month since the initial accident. I am promised multiple contacts when I would be told an estimated finishing date, which never happened. Not once did Mr.
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
actually contact me when he said he would and I was stuck waiting the whole time. Once I finally get a phone call a message is left telling me the car will be ready to go in the morning and all they have to do is wash it. After a three hour drive back to
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
(in the middle of moving) I am dropping off my car at the rental agency and getting a ride over to the shop, so I call to let them know- when I am told the car is not ready (despite saying that it would be). I show up and I'm again told it's ready... except they failed to repair a piece under a door panel I was directly told would be addressed when I dropped off the car.
After pressing the issue my car is passed to the car washer who starts trying to rip off the door panel without removing all the screws and damages it. I have to tell him there is a fastener behind the door handle, because he apparently is not trained in this kind of work and is trying to rip the panel off. Even his co-worker makes fun of him as a result. He then ends up scratching it even more because he stumbles over it on the ground once it is off. Sharing this with Mr.
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
didn't seem to bother him at all and this same car washer is raising his voice, cussing at me, and slamming a door- with the boss right there. Again
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
did nothing to correct this behavior and instead of fixing the vehicle the car washer went to complain to his co workers. The inner panel of my door panel is now scratched and the speaker grill even had plastic
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
sticking out where the panel was damaged. No attempt to fix this was made, and even when it was directly pointed out,
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
did not care.
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
directly lied to me on several points making up excuses saying he had not been able to talk to people about issues he already said were discussed with them the week before. He tried to back out of previous statements and assurances, and showed no follow through. It is clear that the people working at this shop are not skilled technicians and they take no pride in their work. There are images on the website of vehicles being carefully painted in a controlled and clear booth. I personally saw exterior body parts being painted with primer spray paint from a rattle can with plenty of dirt flying in an open door garage.
It is clear that at one point this was a great shop and the older brother was always great about following up and contacting me as he said he would at the start of the process. They side contracted a muffler shop which I think did a great job as well, but it was a separate business.
Also, in regards to the location. Though I was not aware of it a car rental driver pointed out to me that about every other business in that area was a strip club.
Pricing seemed reasonable, and would have been rated higher if product and services paid for were delivered. Most other shops will at least clean the car if you have work done there, some even offer to detail it as part of the price. This shop cleaned areas worked on, but nothing else.

The glass portion of my Tundra's outside rear view mirror
had been knocked loose. I visited with

Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
's Automotive (also on
Angie' List) and he referred me to
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
Repair. I talked to
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
Precision and he immediately looked at the glass piece, put some grease on the
back of it, and pushed it into place on the mounted holder (something I tried
to do several times without success). He then looked at me and said "It's
on the house." It's refreshing to see a business that isn't always after
the all-mighty dollar, still offering assistance in a professional and
courteous manner.

This is a family run, 27-year-old business built on honesty, skill, experience and knowledge.
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
gives a lifetime warranty for work done in his shop and he stands behind that for every customer. My car needed extra care due to pearlized paint requiring five sequential coats.
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
and his wife,
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
, went to work in my behalf with two different insurance companies in two separate jobs to raise the authorized cost from the insurance adjustor's initial estimate to what would enable the work to be done correctly to

's standards, considering his lifetime warranty. He also negotiated and shopped around for new parts when the insurance company specified used. I am so impressed with this man's earnestness and honesty and high standards, I want share my experience with Angie's List members and most enthusiastically recommend

Beyond everything else...completely trustworthy. It's overwhelming and intimidating to be thrust into an area which you have no knowledge or experience. You worry about being over-charged, jazzed with a bunch of buzz words, scared into agreeing to unnecessary work. Save yourself some time and angst...go directly to
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
Auto Body. Best estimates, no BS, guaranteed satisfaction, old-fashioned customer service and attention.

I'd challenge anyone to identify the repaired area...perfect paint match on a weathered 10 year old car. He's been in business for 35 years which says it all.

- Frank T.

I had my
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
there to be repaired and even after I called and asked them to double check that my windows were rolled up before the tech was done, they left my windows down during a very
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
week. So now I have had to spend extra money to have the water removed.
- Robert D.

Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
has 8 locations in the Twin Cities and I was referred to them
for scratch work by Maplewood Toyota. The dealership uses this
provider (an adjacent block from the dealership) and was highly
complimentary about the quality of
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
work. I talked with
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked

about scratches on my Prius. He gave me alternatives; he explained
the costs associated with each; he well explained the limits of what
could actually be done. I chose a
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
treatment because the
final choice was to not replace the applique, which would have been the
preponderant majority of the costs - and did not seem necessary.
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
and the front desk staff made me feel welcome and confident in their
commitment to find the right solution that would match my expectations.
I am delighted with the results.
For any future paint or collision repair needs, this will be my first and only
choice for help.
- Jane D.

They do fantastic work, at a very fair price and in the time they promise. I got two other bids from shops who wanted to repaint the whole car, practically, for more money. It clearly wasn't necessary.
Danville Auto Body Shops Provider Name Locked
is personable and super professional. Love this shop!
