Truck Rental reviews in Butler

I hired
Butler Moving Trucks Provider Name Locked
to help. He was great! He showed up early, helped me move the sofa and drove it to my house. It seems like a

thing - but
Butler Moving Trucks Provider Name Locked
was super professional, friendly, and helped me out. Well worth the $40!

The movers were fine. They followed direction and were communicative. The job was scheduled last minute, and I do appreciate their responsiveness. The quote given over the phone was short of the actual bill, and after my deposit was taken, I was to have received an email detailing the charges, which I did not receive. In short, the quote I was given by phone did not mention the fixed $75 "trip fee", and there was no confirmation email to clarify this 'oversight'. I expect the quote should have been straightforward.

It went very poorly. I was given the scheduler's number to call to see if they could find one for my use. The nearest available was over 50 miles away and I was told they'd reimburse me for the fuel and not be charged for the mileage on the truck. How generous! I ended up racing to Penske truck rental and got there just before they closed and was informed that 3 other people had been there before me with the same issue. In fairness, the employees were nice, quite embarrassed, and set up for failure by extraordinarily poor management. This isn't rocket science.
Bottom line: don't waste your time if you plan to rent a truck. It may not be there when promised.

It was horrible. We had a crew of movers lined up in DC and a crew of movers lined up in Pittsburgh to move us, along with a place to spend the night during the move. Right as we were leaving Pittsburgh to drive to DC to pick up the truck and our belongings, UHAUL contacted us and said that they did not have a truck available. Despite our confirmed reservation, two crews of movers lined up, and hotel arrangements, they would not solve the problem. When we called to try to fix the problem, they said that a supervisor would call back. No supervisor called us. We called UHAUL again, and then the woman we talked with refused to have a supervisor talk to us as she said that their supervisor was too busy. The woman on the phone kept repeating canned lines about how they don't really guarantee their reservations and they did not have any trucks available. Then, when we wanted to

a complaint, she said that she could not find the complaint paperwork and advised us to complain on the website. However, the website does not have a complaint form. I am really shocked that a company like UHAUL can stay in business when they do not honor their reservations, do not try to fix the problem when they make a mistake, and won't allow you to speak to a supervisor to address a problem.

We spoke on the phone twice. Initially when I set up service, and again the day before to confirm service. Both times, he was just a little negative and difficult (asking me what my "biggest" item was, then when I said my treadmill was heaviest, he said no, my front loading washer was. Why ask and then tell me I'm wrong?). It was just uncomfortable the way he spoke to me. He and his crew of two arrived later than he originally stated, but he was driving from

to Wilmington, so I was understanding of that. I introduced myself and shook his hand. The first thing he said was that he didn't like that the trailer wasn't lined up with the front walk. I said that there wasn't anything I could do about it, so let's just get started. It went downhill from there. He was clearly agitated by my remark. While I was unlocking the trailer, he stood behind me and said "you don't like me, do you?" I told him I wasn't going to have that conversation. He told me he had moved 1200 others and had no problems with anyone else. Further, he said that I should have just agreed with him about his trailer/sidewalk location complaint. I couldn't foresee a positive outcome had i continued with this service, so I paid him for travel expenses and told him to leave. Firing the movers created a big head
Butler Moving Trucks Provider Name Locked
for me, but I believe it was a reasonable action to take. At 10pm that night (after an exhausting day of scrambling to find other movers). I received a disturbing text from the owner on his business phone, berating me. I have a screen shot of it, but can't attach here. I've copied and pasted the message instead.: I SEE THAT YOU HAVE LOOKED AT MY OTHER WEBSITE(S) ON YOUR APPLE IPAD. YOU WASTED MY PRECIOUS TIME THIS MORNING. I WILL NEVER TRY TO MAKE HAPPY A WOMAN AS DISTURBED AS YOU ARE. Please do NOT trust this business!

It did not go well!!! They packed the truck and there were items left over so he proceeded to pack them against the car on the fenders of the car tow. They were strapped down against the car which cased extensive damage to the car including the paint and detail work to be rubbed off down to the metal. The car will have to be repainted and detailed. I phoned him and he claimed no responsibility for his actions. I was just outside of
Butler Moving Trucks Provider Name Locked
, OK when the items strapped down on the fender began to fall off because they were not secure enough. He was unreasonable in paying for some of the damage and continues to strap items to the fenders of car tows and cars (according to him) because he has always done work this way. He tried to blame me for the damage by saying that I insisted on doing this practice. I actually asked him about doing this because I did not want to loose anything nor did I want to be stopped by the police for breaking the law about how to travel. I had 2 police officers who saw the damage and how the items were packed/strapped across my vehicle and both said that was not customary nor safe. They said that
Butler Moving Trucks Provider Name Locked
were responsible for this as it is their job as movers to know how to pack trucks and they needed to take responsibility for their actions.
I would never recommend these movers nor would I ever use them again. I warn anyone who may be considering movers to go with someone else, anyone else. I would even pull someone off the street for the job before using
Butler Moving Trucks Provider Name Locked
When my items fell off the fender of the car tow, I lost some of my items as they blew away, some got damaged, and of course the car was damaged.
