Chimney Repair Reviews in Bethlehem

They arrive on time and get the job done, but their minimum to come to the house is $100. My only complaint was they charged their hourly rate for their driving time to my house--I've never heard of that before! For two guys, it was an extra $200 bucks! I called to ask if this was their normal procedure, and they said yes. For that reason, I will probably shop around next time for another company.

Came promptly on the date and time as scheduled. Spread tarp in front of fireplace, cleaned fireplace flu liner with a rotating wire brush and vacuumed up all dirt/dust. Climbed on roof to Inspect chimney top and flashing around chimney. Left the work area in good and clean condition.

we've been using

services since moving to the valley in 2009, and they have always done an excellent job. Aside from our regular flue cleanings once a year we had to have the furnace flue relined in 2010 with the new flexible metal liner and they did an excellent job. They showed up on time with extra crew members and were done in just a few hours. When I need my one fireplace chimney cap replaced I'll be calling them again. I highly recommend

I was impressed by their professionalism at every level: from the initial estimate to the work performed on my chimney. They also noticed and repaired an issue with my attic vents. Extremely nice and professional team--I will be contacting them for all future cleanings and repairs.

They came out to perform a physical inspection complete with pics and measurements. Emailed me an estimate and when I accepted and mailed a 50% deposit, they ordered the parts and scheduled the work. Work was completed as expected.

Despite the many calls he was responding to in the wake of the storm, Bill did the work on the same day that we called him. He had to retrofit the chimney pipe because the people who had installed it in 2000 (Air Care and Restoration) had left the chimney very uneven--higher on one side than the other. I have left the "quality" rating above

(N/A) because I'm not competent to judge how well he did tie job, but he was certainly thorough: bent the protruding chimney pipe back (which took him about twenty minutes in cold weather), applied extra caulk, hunted down the right kind of screws to fasten the cap. He said the $60 I gave him was more than he planned to charge us.

came out and examined the chimney. Recommended replacing the bricks on the chimey cap (3 courses) and the cement washing on top. He said the rest of the bricks were still solid and did not need replacing; repointing was sufficient. (Another contractor had recommended replacing *all* of the bricks.)
We hired him at the end of that week and he was here the following Monday. Finished the brick work on Tuesday and returned to clean up on Wednesday. Work looks good!

I called for an estimate to repair the chimney, and was told they would come out the next week. A the end of that week I called to follow up and was told that I would receive an estimate via email. Apparently they had already come by the house but did not go on the roof to examine the chimney. A few days later I did receive an estimate, which did not reflect the work that actually needed to be done. Regardless of what the estimate said, I would not hire someone who didn't fully understand the job. How can you give an accurate estimate when you don't take the time to examine the work site?
