"Treats me with compassion. Is a good listener, willing to try different techniques and explains what exactly the medicines do and any side effects. Highly recommended.

"Lost first round of paperwork. Long wait for an available appointment. Arrived for appointment only to be told they had made a scheduling error and that the doctor was on vacation." Was never contacted regarding that. Had to wait 2 more weeks for another appointment. Was never told that the appointment was with a doctor other than Dr
himself. Will never go back.

"I've seen him for about 10 years. I see him mostly for his medications, although he has been through a couple of rough spots as far as support goes. But he is very good at diagnosing" and prescribing the proper medications. Of course, he spends time and listens and is very, very easy to be around. I trust him. His office is funny. He is in with a group practice. It's a very successful practice. It's not just him. It's about four psychiatrists. His office is really tacky. I've been going on for 10 years and the furniture looks like what I would hope that the salvation
would take and not reject. It's broken down. I always get the biggest kick out of this office because it's unbelievable. But anyway, it's clean.

At this time, it appears that no one has added them to the List by writing a review on the practice. Companies are added to the List by voluntarily registering their profile with Angie's List, or when a consumer reviews their services.

A little online sleuthing reveals that the Reston, Va. Amen Clinic is run by Dr. Joseph Annibali, who does appear on Angie's List. I was denied access to the doctor.
Pre-registration was required prior to scheduling an appointment. That took 7 days.
The staff scheduled my first appointment that was 23 days out.
The day of my 1st appointment, the staff telephoned me to say Dr.
Allentown Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
called in sick and upon his return to the office the staff would telephone me to schedule another appointment. 10 days out, I did not receive a call so I called the office.
This 2nd appointment was scheduled 25 days out.
Finally, I arrived on the 3rd re-scheduled appointment with New Patient paperwork in hand. One staff whispered to one another that I was not on the books and what should she do. The response from the other staff member was "nothing" as she turned to me and said, "Dr.
Allentown Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
is not taking new patients!" I kindly reminded them I was not told that when any of my appointments were scheduled.
66 days waiting to see Dr.
Allentown Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
for nothing!

Dr.
Allentown Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
is a thoughtful and knowledgeable p-doc. He seems to know the medications very well, and can find the right combinations to fit my needs. He is working with me to fine tune my meds so I have optimum levels of function and happiness. Of course, that is not easy, but I am satisfied with our progress.
He seems insightful and logical. The first appointment is usually 30 mins and he takes the time to get your history and find out about your condition. After that, he meets with me monthly and we discuss how the meds are working and make adjustments. When it is going well, I can go longer between appointments and call for refills.
Some people complain about having to visit every month at first, but I asked about that, and it is necessary when you are using a new medication. Once you have been on a med for a while, he doesn't need to see you as often. Also, if Dr.
Allentown Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
is not available for an appointment or you have to miss your appointment, you can call in for your script. That hasn't been a problem for me. But you do need to have an appointment to get your refill. That just makes sense. They don't want to keep giving scripts to people that don't come in. That wouldn't be responsible.
I recommend Dr.
Allentown Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
to anyone who needs a psychiatrist to prescribe meds and monitor the meds on an ongoing basis. A p-doc knows much more about the medications than your family doctor, so you can get better results.

Worst doctor ever!!! All he does is sit in his chair talk to you for 5 mins and send you in your way. Very rude and unprofessional. I had a serious issue going on and another dr needed records from him. Well he never for back to my dr for a couple weeks after leaving numerous messages on his personal emergency patient cell phone and office phone. Then when he finally got ahold of him all dr
Allentown Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
told him was he doesn't remember me and didn't even dig up the records that were being requested. This was only a year after I stopped going to him. Horrible he's just a dr who wants to make money and could care less if his patients live or die.

He is very knowledgeable and actually cares about the patient, treating the root cause & not OVER-medicating or just dispensing Rx's like a pill factory as, sadly, TOO many I've encountered from the standpoint of a patient and a patient's care giver...

Do not ever go to this doctor! He is the worst doctor I have ever seen.
When I walked in they made me take a surprise drug test? This caught me off guard because I went there on my own accord and just needed my medications to be reviewed.
My appointment was at 11:30 and he ran an hour late. The doctor sat and stared at his computer while asking me questions. . He asked me questions about my history and cut me off and got annoyed when I went into too much detail for him.
He would ask me one general question and then immediately misdiagnose me and then accuse me of being in denial when I didn't agree with him. For example, he asked me if I would feel anxious about going to a gathering with a group of people that I have never met before. I answered yes and he immediately told me that I had anti-social disorder. He also diagnosed me with restless leg syndrome because sometimes when I wake up my bed sheets are at the bottom of my bed. Ridiculous! He did not listen to one thing that I said and seemed to have a personal agenda.
After the uncomfortable question session, he asked me why I was there. I told him to have my current meds evaluated and get new prescriptions. He then informed me that anti-depressants do not work and that the ones that I have taken in the past did not work (they actually work and work well.) He then went on to tell me that he wanted to put me on mood stabilizers such as Lithium or Seroquel. I HAVE MILD DEPRESSION! These drugs are for people with severe medical problems.
I have never even wanted to walk out of a doctor's office before, but this man was so out of touch and made me so uncomfortable that I chose to get up and leave immediately. He told me on my way out that I was un-educated and did not know what I was talking about.
This man should not be practicing medicine and if you are even considering going to see him: don't. I don't know if this is a situation of mal-practice but I will be speaking with my referring physician about Dr
Allentown Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
and advising not to ever refer any of his patients to him again.

Would not suggest provider for the following reasons:
1. Dr. Sanghadia made a diagnosis for an issue I was not seeking treatment for. Although it was not a controlled substance, he prescribed a medicaton that causes strong withdrawl symptoms. He insisted on frequent office visits every 14-60 days and would hold refills hostage to ensure frequent visits and payments. (I was a cash paying customer)
2. He was late to 100% of appointments
3. I cought 2 instances of overbilling
4. Acted in an unprofessional manner after i indicated i can no longer afford to see him. He left a rude message on my voicemail and in a childish act of vengefulness, he refused to provide a tapering off regemin from the non-controlled withdrawl inducing medicine. He forced me to go through a very uncomfortable and unsafe withdrawl because I could no longer afford office visits.
5. Communication needs improvement. Calls and refill requrests were frequently ignored.
6. Overall very unaccomodating and unprofessional.

Waited in hallway for 20 minutes. Spent 10 minutes maximum with the Dr. He charges for the appointment and for writing a script. Total cost, over $500.00. This man just opened his own practice and seems to me to be just padding his billing. I have used this Dr since 2006. I have chosen to seek another Dr. This man has turned greedy since opening his own practice.
