"after the first 3 months, whenever I accessed the tree I'd started building, the tree info was missing or not in the correct order. For at least 6 times, after" having to be on hold for varying amounts of time (but never knowing how long as their poor phone system could only tell you it might be a long wait, never X no of minutes), I was told I "must have" an old explorer version and therefore, the tree info was not "supported". I said that made no sense because it was the same version when I created the tree without a problem and when I went into it several times and saw all the info and added more that was later missing. After months went by and I called again, I was finally guided to locate all the missing info. Somehow the tree that was defaulting in was for the wrong person on the family tree so I was only seeing that info--not for the person I had created in the first place. I was able to get all info but had to call back to get someone to help me make that tree be the default. I have complained repeatedly about the loss of time because ancestry "help" personnel kept saying the issue was my explorer version--when it was something done within their own system that changed the data. I also just completely lost info on another tree and there seems no way to know why it disappeared or how to retrieve without recreating from scratch. In the end, I just wanted the work I had done that was visible to be saved or moved to another computer so I didn't
all I had done again. I was told that there was a free program but that program only *lists* the info...it doesn't pull in as a tree view. Instead the company wants you to spend another $50 to get their "family tree maker". Considering what I already spent and the aggravation of losing info and not getting help in re obtaining until 8 months later and also no explanation what happened to skew the trees in the first place, I'm unwilling to spend one cent more. I asked for the company to waive the fee based on the poor troubleshooting and lack of help for most of the period of time I had the subscription. I was told they wouldn't be able to do so. So their $50 for family tree maker is more important than maintaining a customer or recommendations from a former customer. That is the last time I will use them and if anyone is looking for reference, this company will get the opposite from me..

"While I was disappointed that LegacyTree was unable in 20 hours research to break down my "brick wall", the truth is that my expectations were too high." The research was done thoroughly and professionally and was well documented at all points along the way. I was treated courteously and professionally at all times and it was evident that both the assigned project manager and the researcher cared about the results provided - to the extent of a follow-up letter from the researcher explaining in detail why and how he reached the conclusions he did and had documented in the formal report. I would unreservedly recommend LegacyTree to anybody seeking professional genealogical research services.

I was pleased with the end result. It took a very long time as we were on a waiting list - but that's how popular she is. She was always very responsive to emails and produced a very extensive report for us.

did a great job finding information on my birth mother and her relatives. Her report was warm, encouraging, and as thorough as she could have been. She constantly checked in with me to offer friendly advice, encouragement, and warmth. I ended up using my state's adoption assistance group to make contact with my birth mother, who declined contact.

This project went great! We searched for other companies to do this and found that they were very reasonably priced. They charged $250.00 retainer and then we purchased hours after that. We felt in control of how much we were spending. We gave them the information we had, and they fleshed out a beautiful family history for us with pictures, documents and stories about what their life would have been like during the time they lived. They both came over during the " Famine Years" but my family is from the northern part of

We purchased this as a gift over 4 years ago, and found out that it had been renewing over the last 4 years. We sat on hold 3 different days over 3 hours each. We finally got it settled.

The info. was so complete, I was amazed. Printed, at my request and mailed to me.She was warm an friendly. It sounded like she was having as much fun as I was. Her print out was in a note book with each sheet encased in a plastic sleeve, very professional. I would highly recommend her.

It went very well. She was very professional and thorough. She gave resources for all of the facts she found to verify them. She even included a couple of pictures I had never seen of my Great Grandparents.

We love it. They’re great resource. It’s a subscription. It’s a monthly fee and we have chosen one of their highest price packages because it gives us access to global databases like I can

public family trees and just put your grandmother’s name in. Three other family trees come up with your grandmother and you’ll find

you never knew you had. Those family trees are significant. The information that’s there is what their family thinks is true. It’s not coming from some official. It’s fun to access but you have to look at it with caveat. There are thousands of databases that there are like social security death records or burial records. The reason that it cost money to join because they buy these databases. The third thing there is they have the
