"The pain had increased over the years and numbness had set in. I went to Dr Companioni and his first reaction was that the numbness did not concern him. I had an" MRI done and after that I was in so much pain I could barely walk. I called his office and they told me I could come in that same day as he was on vacation the next week. I got there at 2:30 at my scheduled time and waited for an hour. I found there was blood on the exam table. When the doctor came in, he was not even there for 5 minutes and he said the MRI looked fine. He told me the pain and numbness did not concern him and that in his opinion I needed physical therapy to strengthen the muscles in my legs. When I went to leave the office, I asked for the MRI and they said they did not have it. They said he pulled it up through a site online. I was told he would have the physical MRI when I had this done but the office is now contradicting that. They seem to have no care or concern that I am in extreme pain. I will never go there again.

is a genius. He replaced my left shoulder a few years ago following a fall. Although he tried to save the shoulder which had been shattered" into 4 pieces, he decided to install the artificial shoulder. I also had a broken right arm at the same time from the fall. Surgery went without a hitch but recovery and therapy was unpleasant. Rehab staff member,
, was amazing. Personable and expert in her field.
, RN/PA/NP (?) closely followed me and was an expert in her part of the surgery and recovery. Although
told me that I would never be able to extend my arm straight up, she had to eat crow when I showed her my amazing recovery. She was good natured about it.
's scars are beautiful. I asked him why they were barely visible during this visit and he told me that he uses a plastic surgery stitch so the scars are almost imperceptible.
's mother should be proud.

Sounds like you should be pursuing a disability claim.  Also, you could speak to your previous doctor frankly about your concerns.
Have they made orthotics for your shoes that distribute your weight better?

Whoops - I just realized that you may have been looking for Angie's List information on providers outside your home market. It looks like when you signed up online on 8/5/2014, that you accidentally joined our greater Portland chapter instead of our Salem/Corvallis chapter that your zip code falls under. I have transferred your subscription to that chapter, so you will now have access to the correct area.

Orthopedic reviews in Gold Beach

I would rate him outstanding in everything. I've been using him for 6 years. He's done everything. He has taken cared of all my needs. He's an exception to the medical practice where he'll sit and talk and tell you exactly what the problems are. He's not looking to get you out of his office quickly. His personality is fabulous.
- June H.

Excellent. Out patient procedure that allowed me to fly within 6 weeks of surgery and start therapy in early February 2014. This was after two other prominent orthopedic surgeons told me I needed total shoulder replacement. I highly recommend this alternative to shoulder replacement.

Gold Beach Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
was a exceedingly personable fellow - I learned that he had served in a combat hospital as an Air Force Doctor (I believe in Afghanistan). His connection with me was warm, but extremely professional and very informative. He urged me to avoid surgery - surgery as a LAST resort. He did give me a cortisone shot but also cautioned me to avoid making this a regular resort from relief, as repeated uses of cortisone shots often had their own repercussions. I felt very confident that here was a doctor that was interested only in my improved health and was not trying to make me into a cash cow for the practice. I am writing this at this late date (some three years after I saw Dr.
Gold Beach Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
only because he did the right thing by me (the cortisone shot he gave me, gave me the breathing room I needed - and I received no more). I took care of my knee and am now walking three miles a day, up a steep hill, with no pain whatsoever. I am thankful that my knee healed and that Dr.
Gold Beach Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
gave me such sound, and honest medical advice. I would strongly recommend him to anyone needing orthopedic services. I thank him for his service to the USAF and the USA

The Dr I saw at the appointment was nice. He reviewed the x-rays with me and told me I would need an MRI. He told me I should hear something in 36 hours. After 2 weeks of waiting, I called the office. I left a message that I was still waiting on having the MRI set up and left my work and cell phone number. I heard nothing back for another week and decided to call again. This time after I was routed to the
Gold Beach Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
's voicemail and left a message, I had a phone call back from someone within an hour. Apparently, his

was on vacation and someone else was covering for her. She found that the

had not even put the insurance through for approval yet. Within 3 days I was at the radiology place to have my MRI. 6 days later, I called to get the results. the
Gold Beach Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
called me back and told me that would need to have arthrocopic repair. Unfortunately, they would not be able to do that for 2-3 months. I told her I was in way too much pain to wait that long. I told her I was going to a conference out of town and had to rent a scooter just to get around there. She said I may be able to get in with one of his associates sooner. I gave her my cell phone number and told her to let me know. I heard nothing for another week and a half. I called the office on

13th and any message that was left today would be returned on

13th. I left a message, but then called the front desk back and explained the situation. The
Gold Beach Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
then got on the phone and was very short with me telling me that she went to the bathroom and was just going to call me back and that I was suppose to call her to schedule with another surgeon. I told her that at this point, I also need a script for a longer knee brace and a temporary handicap permit and maybe an injection in my knee because I was in horrible pain. She indicated there was no Dr. that could do the injection and with no compassion and a lot of attitude said she would put a script for the knee brace and handicap permit at the front desk afternoon. When I called at 1:05 to see if it was set up (I had lunch until 2:00), I was told it wasn't and then put on hold and disconnected. The Dr's here maybe good if you can get to see them but, their staff lacks compassion and are rude.

He has wonderful bedside manners, is very thorough, knowledgeable and specializes in hips and knees but does arms and other extremities as well. I have been very pleased with him and would recommend him to others.

Called to make an appointment. It took 5 transfers before they could get me to the right person to make an appointment for me. Even though I was in severe pain, I had to wait two weeks for them to 'squeeze me in with a PA' not the doctor. I told them my back was killing me and I just wanted to be out of pain. 'Sorry, that's the best we can do.' So I wait the two weeks, in total misery. The day before my appointment at 3pm (my appointment was the next morning at 845) I get a call that the provider I was going to see won't be in the office and that I should reschedule. I called them back and there is nothing else tomorrow with any of the doctors, they aren't working Friday because of the holiday, but they can see me on Monday morning. Well I can't get a ride until after 330 On Monday but they can't give me anything later because I'm a new patient. Oh sure, you screw me out of my appointment and then refuse to make it when it is convenient for me because I haven't been in yet? THEN they let me know that the PA I was going to see was only going to do a screening so she could refer me to a physician. Are you kidding me? I asked how long it would take after my first appointment with the PA before I could see an actual doctor who could do something and was told two and a half to three more weeks. These guys are a complete joke. Meanwhile I have no life and I'm living on borrowed pain pills because I can't get a doctor to give me the time of day. I am beyond angry. If you have any self respect and care about your life and your body, go somewhere else!

The frightful experience of the pain and fear of recovery were eased by the organized and competent staff at

. Dr.
Gold Beach Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
is caring and skilled and I believe that I was graced to have his staff and team fix my fracture at this critical moment.

Overall he is a very good doctor. Very friendly, good bedside manner. Very adequate and good doctor, knowing his profession. Punctuality is a problem, the office gets very backed up. He is a little bit too friendly, he will sit and take the time to explain things - which is nice but hurts him in punctuality. His injections were painless, prescribed orthodics, and now I am finally free of that ailment.
