" While the injections are not actually painful, there is a feeling of increasing pressure as the injections are done. Dr. Weinschenk does this as carefully as is" possible-he understands that this in-office procedure is not comfortable. Dr. Weinschenk has been my orthopedic doctor for several years now, and has done a number of surgeries on me. I have never had reason to complain about his services, his bedside manner {he has a good sense of appropriate humor}, and his staff are always very kind, and very professional. I have trust in him, which is important when dealing with a doctor who will be treating me for life-long problems. He has never given me bad advice, and I believe there is good communication between us. I am glad that he is one of my doctors.

-Stephanie D.

"First, Ms. was very professional in appearance, manner and thoroughness of medical aspects. Her communications were clear and she gave the" impression she cared about your well being. She took the time to explain things. She evaluated range of motion and stressed I must continue to make sure I did not let it freeze up. She set things up for options depending on the results of my MRI. When she called about it, she explained what she saw. I felt I knew what was going on. She again stressed motion while waiting to see the doctor. I felt very comfortable with her approach and would not hesitate to see her again. I can not evaluate her for anything other than screening to see the doctor but that was excellent. I will say that I felt like an individual with her. Not just another arm or shoulder.

Sounds like you should be pursuing a disability claim.  Also, you could speak to your previous doctor frankly about your concerns.
Have they made orthotics for your shoes that distribute your weight better?

Orthopedic reviews in Gold Beach

As a new patient trying to see Dr. Lashgari, the office staff asked me a lot of medical questions. One of my answers triggered the statement that I had to see a before I could see him. Apparently, Ms. screens patients to ensure they are seeing the right doctor. So, I made an appointment with her. My experience ...More with her was excellent. She did X-Rays to ensure no broken bones and then some mobility tests. She then prescribed an MRI and said this would be used to determine whether I needed to see Dr. Lashgari or would receive cortisone shot and do physical therapy. She made an appointment for Dr. Lashgari just in case. I had the MRI and several days later after I called to see the results, Ms. called me to say she saw a significant tear and I should see Dr. Lashgari. She indicated it was a complete separation. So, I was now allowed to see the doctor. I went to my doctor appointment a week later. Except, now his assistant came in to look at my MRI and do some motion tests. One thing that irritated me was they asked me to put on a gown but the gown sleeves were too small for my large arms. She said they would find me a larger gown but they never did. We agreed it was not necessary and proceeded. I asked her what my MRI indicated and she said the doctor would discuss that. So, now I would get to see the doctor. Dr. Lashgari came in. He asked a few questions, looked at my MRI, took it down, did motion tests and asked about pain (which at the time was basically non-existent). He then said that his experience was that for patients my age (senior), the success for surgery was 50/50 at best and he thought I should try rehab first to see if I could manage without having the ligament attached. My interpretation was he did not think he could fix it and before we tried I should try this option. So, we agreed to do rehab for 6 weeks. I appreciate a surgeon who is not so eager to cut. I don't know where this will go but I will do another review and hopefully it will be all A's. I just could not do all A's from one visit where I was not sure 100% I was getting good care. I am not sure about this - well at your age bit. I am an active adult with hopefully 30 more years of good life. These doctors who give me that worry me. And as for listening to me - well he did stop himself once to ask me what I thought so, he did listen. But the fact he stopped himself and a few other things that were small made me uncomfortable about his truly listening. And I was mad at myself because I forgot to get an explanation of the MRI results. Overall, I think he is probably very good and he was just quick to see my problem. I am just surprised there are no other reviews of him. I guess this will be a work in progress. Wish me good luck.

Dr Deimel examined my hand, ordered x-rays and reviewed the results with me. His communication style was challenged, he could use some improvement in speaking with his patients. He provided no treatment plan, basically told me to keep the splint on for a few weeks. I asked if I needed to do anything else or set up a follow up appointment and he said ...More no. I ended up seeing another doctor for further treatment.
It was nice to be able to have my hand looked at the same day at the Ortho Access Immediate Care rather than going to the hospital ER. Also, the bill was much less than an ER. Overall, I like the Ortho Access Immediate Care Clinic for convenience and cost, but I wasn't enthusiastic about Dr Deimel.

On the October 22nd initial visit I found the office to be neat, clean and efficient. After registering my paperwork, Dr. examined my right knee and sent me down the hall for an X- . The X- tech was pleasant and informative. The doctor reviewed the X- and ...More determined there was injury to the meniscus on my right knee which was causing the pain. The first thing that he mentioned was surgery should be considered as a LAST option. This made me a bit happy because I don't want surgery if I don't need it. He took all the time necessary to explain to me how the injury happened. Dr. explained that a conservative first step in the treatment should be an injection to the knee which could lubricate and possibly facilitate healing. After the injection, I scheduled another visit in two weeks. By the third day after the injection, I started to feel great improvement each day. By the time I got to the follow up visit, the pain was gone. Dr. explained that I could return to my exercise activities, and if no additional injury is experienced, just to go about my normal routine. He did say that his priority was to make it so I could go about my normal activity and that if pain did recur, I should call for another appointment. I'm a very happy patient and if I do have more pain, and it turns out that surgery is indicated, I would feel very comfortable about having Dr. perform it.

He's really good. It was over ten years ago, he did work on my knee. He was a young doctor but he is sharp. I didn't have any problems getting into to see this doctor. The office environment was crowded. The office just seemed a little confusing, like they had different windows for different doctors. The staff were good. They were ...More friendly. There was only one thing I had a complaint about him was they failed to tell me something to do after my surgery. I don't think it was his office. The doctor was good. After the surgery communication wasn't as it should be.
- John S.

I went to the Lake office for an appointment scheduled earlier. The staff was very friendly.
The doctor came in, examined me, and had me x-rayed. After, he told me of a few options.
I told him I would choose the cortisone shot, and he gave it to me 10 minutes later, just because
I was there now, and it was convenient ...More for them too.
He told me there was little physically wrong, and with instruction (for proper shoulder movement
and things to avoid) and therapy I should be able to have a lot less pain.
By the time the shot relief wore off a couple months later, my shoulder was in much better shape.

Dr. is a great doctor whom I highly recommend. At another hospital, I had been misdiagnosed with a bad back and surgery was recommended. At the final days before a risky back surgery I asked for a complete x- work up of my hips, since that is where most of the pain resided. I was told that both ...More my hips had disintegrated and that they were doubtful that I would find any surgeon capable of doing him replacements. I was referred to Dr. , who worked me into the schedule within ten days, and has performed two AMAZINGLY SUCCESSFUL hip replacements on me. He is the best joint replacement surgeon in -- so in my opinion -- in the world. In my hip replacement class prior to surgery, other patients on whom it was going hip replacement the next day flown in from all over the world. , and the heritage staff of Dr. Trousedale's clinic, were awarded the NOBLE PRIZE prize in medicine for the original invention of hip replacement procedures and technology. The is on display in the waiting area of Dr. 's clinic. He is GREAT!

- Benita D.

Dr. was absolutely wonderful. He has great bedside manner. He first had his staff take an x- of my hip. He recommended a cortisone shot in the hip which he performed that day. He then prescribed an MRI of the hip and physical therapy. The MRI revealed pretty significant arthritis in my right hip. Dr. ...More personally called me to tell me of the diagnosis. My treatment options are: do nothing, periodically receive cortisone shots in the hip either in his office or at a radiologist's office under x- so they can see exactly where to put the steroid or have a total hip replacement.
I did 9 sessions of physical therapy and do most of the exercises (that don't require the office machines) daily at home. So far, so good. I hope to put off the surgery indefinitely. If it gets to the point where I really need the surgery because my quality of life is so compromised, I would not hesitate to have Dr. perform my surgery.
- Deborah L.

Dr Messiah injected both my thumbs and the clicking in the joints went away. He also scheduled surgery for my husband for an anterior hip replacement which was done 9/22/15 at Celebration hospital in Celebration, FL.. The surgery went well and my husband went home the next day and is recovering well.
Dr Messiah and his staff give you lots of ...More pre-surgical information. He has an excellent bedside manner.
