"From the salesman to the installation it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Delivered 3 days after promise. Installed wrong. Needed installers to come back out and they no showed several times. Horrible!!!

"Only that wasnt great was it took a few days for the part to come in. There was some miscommunication that didnt help internally. I only say that as sometimes time can be a factor." Personally the wait was fine as the service was flawless and they even brought their cost down to be comparable with the lowest competition they had.

"Overall it went fine. The technician was polite. It was kind of a pain that the refrigerator could not be fixed the same day the technician arrived since the unit had to defrost and" because an electronic board had to be obtained, but that is understandable. The technician broke the drip
, but was very honest about it and they fixed that for no charge. In addition they replaced the defrost grommet for us at no charge when I inquired about it based on some internet searches. That was above and beyond.

If the ducts are venting through a window I'm assuming the duct work is all easily accessible.  Lowe's and Home Depot sell a cleaning kit that uses an electric drill to spin the brush as it goes through the ductwork.  I've found it to work quite well and you can do it yourself.  It may take a few passes the first time to get everything out if it has been a while since it was last cleaned.  Just make sure you get all of the loose lint out after running the brush through from both ends and you're good to go.  Please note that if the line is not hard but rather a flex duct line you can easily puncture a whole in it with this kit and will do better to clean it by hand.

As stated above, it can vary between companies.

Typically just an inspection implies you do not have a contract or agreement that may include discounts or free repairs.

With our company you would get the annual maintenace service that you should do every year, and if repairs are needed, they are extra, but you aviod paying a "service call charge" that would be related to most repairs, because you are paying for the "inspection" and we are already on site.

Inspections are often discounted in the slow seasons, and can usually be found advertised , at reduced prices , on Angie's List.

So consider Angie's List and find the best of the best in HVAC contractors!

I have never seen one of this type that does not exit the house. You would not want the grease dumping into your basement, even with a filter it will happen.

The greater part of your job will be carpentry as if there is a wall behind the stove a hole will have to be cut up through the basement into the wall up to the stove. Unless it is one of the stoves that allows for it to fit inside a cabinet below. To answer correctly most here would be a picture of where this project is being done. I have done motorized ones that extend up out of the counter when in use and then retract. Those exit through the cabinet and require the cook top is to the front of the counter and not a drop in one

As an added note these tend to be better as they do not pull the heat away from the stove top when in use as much as the ones flush with the stove. I have install quite a few and happen to have an Amana cook top with built in down draft and I have to shut it of to get water to boil on the back burners.

A carpenter will know what can be cut and what not in the basement, a sheet metal contractor should know as well but at the other end for the finish by the stove they might not. Most carpenters that do kitchens have installed the minimal amount of duct work for this. They just have to be carefull with the number of ellbows and the lenght of the duct.

They were able to schedule my appointment for the next day, called before they arrived. Two gentlemen came in, fixed the washer. They were prompt, courteous and efficient. Only "issue" was that when I made the appointment I was told there was a $5.00 discount for being an Angie's List member and I had to inquire about that after the bill was presented. They did at that point take the promised discount.

The unit was originally install in 12/17/2010. The unit has needed service every year since its installation . It is apparent that the unit is not venting. The blower is rusting and freezing up.The inducer motor has been replaced 2x.They came out in 2011 and 2013 for the same problem. They billed me $ 2008.00 for the repair in 2013.The motor for the Fall of 2014 again is not working. Now i have learned from the chimney contractor that CO2 is being relased from the unit and the unit now has to shut down due to hazardous conditions. This is a commercial property! They have put lives in jeopardy! I have called them several times with no response. Heres hoping Angies List can get results. I got the referral from you!

My refrigerator stopped cooling and I called

was a wonderful tech. He did a good job of quickly assessing the problem and had the board with him to fix it. He had an honest conversation with me about costs and asked important questions about my 'love' of my appliance or not as to be most cost effective. He also shared with me the cost of the control board and what

Eagle Point Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
helped me resolve an issue with a screw on my dryer, which just took a few minutes as we waited to check on the Fridge after the new board was installed.

First let me say that hands down from start to finish
Eagle Point Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
was the fastest service call I've ever experienced in my life. I called him around noontime and left a message that my dryer wasn't heating and I needed it looked at. He called me back around 12:30pm and I briefly told him what was wrong with my dryer. Within 15 minutes he was at my house and taking my dryer apart. He replaced the thermal fuse and explained to me that although my heater was registering as okay on his meter it could be defective and blowing the thermal fuse but he advised going this route first and see if it did the trick(cheaper too which I appreciated). I've already done two loads of laundry and everything is working fine. I would add that
Eagle Point Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
is very courteous/professional and I would not hesitate to use him again. If I could give him an A+++ on everything I would a truly top notch service experience, thank you
