"They were very professional & thourough. They had to do major work getting the oven to fit. This involved cutting drywall, rerouting the gas line, the 110V line" & the 220V line. They gave me an estimate on the oven installation. It was more than I expected but when I saw the work they had to do, I was satisfied. They were extremely professional and helpful. The microwave vent was falling a part & they recut it to make it fit better & look good. THe appliances were delivered over a number of days so the work was done as the individual appliances were delivered. They were always punctual & called each time when they were about 20 minutes away so we would be ready for them.

If the ducts are venting through a window I'm assuming the duct work is all easily accessible.  Lowe's and Home Depot sell a cleaning kit that uses an electric drill to spin the brush as it goes through the ductwork.  I've found it to work quite well and you can do it yourself.  It may take a few passes the first time to get everything out if it has been a while since it was last cleaned.  Just make sure you get all of the loose lint out after running the brush through from both ends and you're good to go.  Please note that if the line is not hard but rather a flex duct line you can easily puncture a whole in it with this kit and will do better to clean it by hand.

As stated above, it can vary between companies.

Typically just an inspection implies you do not have a contract or agreement that may include discounts or free repairs.

With our company you would get the annual maintenace service that you should do every year, and if repairs are needed, they are extra, but you aviod paying a "service call charge" that would be related to most repairs, because you are paying for the "inspection" and we are already on site.

Inspections are often discounted in the slow seasons, and can usually be found advertised , at reduced prices , on Angie's List.

So consider Angie's List and find the best of the best in HVAC contractors!

I have never seen one of this type that does not exit the house. You would not want the grease dumping into your basement, even with a filter it will happen.

The greater part of your job will be carpentry as if there is a wall behind the stove a hole will have to be cut up through the basement into the wall up to the stove. Unless it is one of the stoves that allows for it to fit inside a cabinet below. To answer correctly most here would be a picture of where this project is being done. I have done motorized ones that extend up out of the counter when in use and then retract. Those exit through the cabinet and require the cook top is to the front of the counter and not a drop in one

As an added note these tend to be better as they do not pull the heat away from the stove top when in use as much as the ones flush with the stove. I have install quite a few and happen to have an Amana cook top with built in down draft and I have to shut it of to get water to boil on the back burners.

A carpenter will know what can be cut and what not in the basement, a sheet metal contractor should know as well but at the other end for the finish by the stove they might not. Most carpenters that do kitchens have installed the minimal amount of duct work for this. They just have to be carefull with the number of ellbows and the lenght of the duct.

We called for service on 2/23/15. The technician arrived as scheduled on 2/25. He spent a few minutes examining the door latch, said he would order the part, and left after about 10 minutes. He returned with the part on 2/28, installed it, and checked it out in about 20 minutes. He was knowledgeable, courteous, careful while working on our washer, and willing to answer questions.
This work was billed at $385 plus tax (about $385).
I looked up the part number of the broken one -- prices on Amazon ranged from $45 to about $80.
Centreville to Sterling, VA, is about a 30 minute drive. Even if we paid for two round trips (which is not reasonable since this was not an emergency call) plus labor of a half hour, that comes to $120/hr. That is simply unreasonable.

Very knowledgeable and straight with the facts.
Arranged a time and came with the part needed for the microwave, rather than giving me a 4 hour window, and having to schedule another appointment when the part arrived.
Everything is back in order and I know who to call if I need an appliance repair in the future.

I called on Monday and they came out that same day. They wrote up the parts that needed to be order and said they would call to schedule once the parts arrive in about two days. They called the next day and say the parts are in and scheduled to come out on Wed.

Eagle Point Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
was arrived promptly as scheduled. I showed him what was wrong. He dug in, and 20 minutes later, I heard a much quieter dryer running. I went down to see how things were.
He explained what he'd fixed, checked everything else out while he was looking, and answered a wide variety of questions for me. When he was done, the dryer is now working properly, and the fee was quite reasonable.

He gave excellent, honest advice to buy a new refrigerator instead of repairing it. I would trust or recommend this business in the future.

It didn't go at all..not sure if he does not check his e-mails in regards to this sight or if he is just ignoring the request. In any case I am sorry I wasted my money on this sight to prevent this exact situation of no response. I expected services on this sight were reliable but was mistaken.

An associate of
Eagle Point Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
arrived at my house on time, to fix my fridge that stopped working overnight. Although I had my door open but screen door closed,
Eagle Point Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
( the associate ) just let himself in without knocking & proceeded to walk onto my white carpet without taking off his wet & dirty shoes or wearing any protectant. Red flags. After letting me know that my newly appliance was a piece of crap (made by GL) I questioned his manners but really needed my fridge fixed. Within minutes
Eagle Point Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
said the job was done and the cost was $90.00. When I questioned him, on what the cause of the problem was and to please show me he said: No, that's a liability; I won't show you I am telling you that I exchanged a fuse. When I asked him if he could be so kind to help me push the fridge back, again he said: No, it's a liability and only if I would sign a

I was very happy with the company from the first call through the completion of the work.
The answering service was polite and quickly had someone call me back to schedule an appointment for the next day.
The service tech, Will, did an excellent job of explaining and showing me what was wrong and how he was fixing it. After the drain was cleared and fixed, Will poured water down the drain to show that the freezer was draining properly. I would definitely use this company again!
