"Tech diagnosed problem, took $100 cash deposit, ordered part and returned the next day and completed repairs. Was quoted approximately $250 total for the job. When" job was completed he told me it was $252.xx and I gave him that amount (also in cash) plus a tip. He left before filling out my copy of the receipt. He also left his gloves here. I have given up calling him to get him to return...... Either I'm out $100 or the cost was $100 more than quoted. I'd REALLY like to know.

went out late in the evening. Called
early in the morning and within 20 minutes the Technician arrived. He was" very professional, had all the parts available in his van, found the problem, did some cleaning of spills we created, and replaced the part which had died. I would highly recommend this service provider to anyone with an appliance problem.

Small appliance repair

Small appliances play a big role in our daily lives. When shopping for microwave ovens, vacuums, toasters, mixers and more, choose appliances that fit your need and budget. When it comes to repairs, compare the cost of fixing to the cost of replacing the item.

If you're preparing for a holiday or other event that requires a lot of home-cooking, take time in the weeks before the event to ensure that your major appliances are operating efficiently and will be able to handle the job. Here are five tips.

If the ducts are venting through a window I'm assuming the duct work is all easily accessible.  Lowe's and Home Depot sell a cleaning kit that uses an electric drill to spin the brush as it goes through the ductwork.  I've found it to work quite well and you can do it yourself.  It may take a few passes the first time to get everything out if it has been a while since it was last cleaned.  Just make sure you get all of the loose lint out after running the brush through from both ends and you're good to go.  Please note that if the line is not hard but rather a flex duct line you can easily puncture a whole in it with this kit and will do better to clean it by hand.

As stated above, it can vary between companies.

Typically just an inspection implies you do not have a contract or agreement that may include discounts or free repairs.

With our company you would get the annual maintenace service that you should do every year, and if repairs are needed, they are extra, but you aviod paying a "service call charge" that would be related to most repairs, because you are paying for the "inspection" and we are already on site.

Inspections are often discounted in the slow seasons, and can usually be found advertised , at reduced prices , on Angie's List.

So consider Angie's List and find the best of the best in HVAC contractors!

I have never seen one of this type that does not exit the house. You would not want the grease dumping into your basement, even with a filter it will happen.

The greater part of your job will be carpentry as if there is a wall behind the stove a hole will have to be cut up through the basement into the wall up to the stove. Unless it is one of the stoves that allows for it to fit inside a cabinet below. To answer correctly most here would be a picture of where this project is being done. I have done motorized ones that extend up out of the counter when in use and then retract. Those exit through the cabinet and require the cook top is to the front of the counter and not a drop in one

As an added note these tend to be better as they do not pull the heat away from the stove top when in use as much as the ones flush with the stove. I have install quite a few and happen to have an Amana cook top with built in down draft and I have to shut it of to get water to boil on the back burners.

A carpenter will know what can be cut and what not in the basement, a sheet metal contractor should know as well but at the other end for the finish by the stove they might not. Most carpenters that do kitchens have installed the minimal amount of duct work for this. They just have to be carefull with the number of ellbows and the lenght of the duct.

Shoe Repair reviews in Beaverton

They claimed that our house electric voltage was spiking and damaged the furnace. They did a trick with their voltage meter to pretend that the voltage was constantly changing. The technician called himself "
Beaverton Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
". He called a man at the office and put him on the speakerphone. He was part of the hoax, too. They refused to honor our warranty.
Beaverton Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
said the circuit board was burnt out and he wanted $1,000 to replace it. We were very suspicious and asked them to leave. The house electric was tested after they left. The voltage meter read a constant 120 volts! There was nothing wrong with our house electric! Furthermore, there was nothing wrong with the circuit board. The ignitor was replaced and the furnace now runs fine! It was a $41 part!

They inspected my
Beaverton Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
& didn't find the problem early in December. The issue didn't present while they were here of course. When it occurred later, they responded immediately. They applied the service call charge to the cost to repair my oven. I was impressed at their friendliness and professionalism! My oven was fixed in no time. They answered all my curiosity questions with patience and clarity. Other appliance repair services have cost over twice what they charge! I will never use another appliance repair service no matter what the appliance - even if I had to wait!

Unfortunately, the microwave is 20 years old and parts are not available. I had to pay the required service fee which I was advised of ahead of time. When I requested the visit, the person on the phone was friendly and professional. Due to my work schedule, they added me on to the end of the day in order to provide me same day service.
The technician did "rig" the microwave so I could still use it while I shop for a new one.
The technician was professional, prompt, and friendly. He used a mat at the front door and wore "booties" to keep the house clean. I will use them again for large or small appliances.

I have used this company one time a few months prior back to fix my refrigerator. They fixed it and then it failed again. They came back immediately and fixed it one more time and since then my refrigerator has been working well. As for my dryer, I had a different technician come and fix my dryer but from the same company. He was very nice and professional, did everything in a timely manner but the price was a bit much. I'm writing this review because of what happened the other day.
I received a text message from my bank stating that someone has used my credit card and made 2 unauthorized charges. I was still in possession of the card (it was home in my safe) and I never use the card. The only company I have every used that card for was two times with this company. The card was a newly issued card at the time that I only use in dire emergencies. Both incidents were when I used them. This company took my credit card information and sold it to someone else. I use a credit card when someone performs a service because if they do the job wrong and refuse to come back and fix it, I can call the credit card company and dispute the charge and they will not be paid (I avoid going to small claims court by doing this). These 2 transactions were the only transactions that I have ever used this card for. As a former officer who worked in the credit card fraud unit/ major case unit, I would advise you to stay away from a shady company like this. As for the service they provided, it was fair and I was satisfied.

We contacted
Beaverton Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
about installing a whole-house vacuum system after seeing a system demonstrated at the Home and Garden show. We were making a 1500 square foot addition, as well as remodeling the older part of our home, and thought it was an ideal time to make the investment. When we visited the shop in Springdale to discuss the product, we were impressed with the demonstration. We had always loved our

vacuums and thought they did a great job, but
Beaverton Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
claimed that the
Beaverton Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
vacuums had only a fraction of the suction that the

system did. Our home is in northern Kentucky and we were referred to the Cold Springs location for the installation. The gentleman that came out to assess our project was extremely polite and knowledgeable about his product. We felt very comfortable that the installation would be handled professionally.

Unfortunately, we have had problems with the system from Day 1. The collection unit in the basement had to be replaced because it kept blowing apart, causing the contents to s*** all over. The tube that is supplied to the older part of our house would not pull out without us pulling it to the point we were breaking out in a sweat. It would not retract without us forcefully pushing it back in place. When we tried to use it, the tube would collapse and almost completely

suction. We ordered an extra set of accessories for upstairs which were never delivered with the original installation. After about two months of follow up phone calls, we finally had to go and pick them up at the store ourselves. To be fair, I have to admit that some components of the system work really well. We installed a mini port in our laundry room and it is super for cleaning out the lint traps, or sucking grass or dirt off your shoes when coming in from outside. The accessories (the beater bar attachment, hardwood floor attachment, furniture brushes, crevasse tool, etc.) work very well and are convenient to use.

Beaverton Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
did replace the upstairs tube with a lightweight, more flexible tube, and it does retract properly. However, it kinks every time we use it. The suction on the upstairs part of the system is only okay now, even if the tube is not kinked. I would not guess that it out performs our old
Beaverton Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
. The downstairs part of the system seems to work better than the upstairs. We got an under-counter outlet that you can sweep dirt into for our kitchen. My expectation was that I would be able to sweep into that outlet's general direction and the suction would pull the dirt into the outlet. You actually have to more-or-less feed the dirt to the outlet. The straw that broke the camel's back and prompted me to write this review was when my husband recently complained that when he was insulating our basement, he discovered that the joints for the pvc pipe that the system's tube retracts into appears never to have been glued together. I think that we have another call into
Beaverton Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
in our future, and I hope that we can work out the bugs. But after living with this system for some months, I would have to confess we are pretty disappointed overall. I feel terrible about it because I know my husband meant this to be a real luxury, but it has turned into a big hassle and we feel like we made a bad investment.

The person that came was very efficient, and they came on short notice, because it was the holidays and I had family coming. He was able to come right out and do both estimates, and he was very clean. Once he left, you couldn't even tell he'd been there.
- Ossie B.

I have an agreement contract for several years and they come out once a year and check my treadmill. Previously the guys come out and one checked the microwave, one checked the refrigerator and one checked the treadmill to see if everything was okay. They were all very friendly and very helpful to explain things.

on one of the coldest saturday's this winter we discovered that our furnace had died some days earlier and we were on the brink of bursting pipes it was so cold in our house.
Beaverton Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
came out, diagnosed that our problem and replaced our furnace the same day. they did not even get our phone call until 2pm on a Saturday afternoon, their technician made it to our house by 6pm, and we had a new furnace installed by 11pm (which included them getting together a crew to install our new furnace and them going to get it from their warehouse). Our house had heat going again by midnight. I could not be happier with the service I have received from
