Fencing Reviews in Beaverton

I would have been fine with him telling me that he was not interested in doing the job for me but am disappointed that he just dropped it altogether. I don't feel that it was a very professional way to handle the situation.

come to the house to give me a bid on my deck. Came back with a proposal that looked good but I wanted to get more bids. After a little while I asked him to come back because I wanted something different. He had some good ideas and told me he would send me an Email with a new proposal and that it would be about a week. I waited and I never heard from him. I would have called but I have been busy with other things. Not sure what the deal is and really don't care at this point. He lost a sale.

Fencing reviews in Beaverton

The fence installation with
Beaverton Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
went well in the end and we are very happy with our new fence. I chose them because they were a small, local business, had a good history, and offered some quality characteristics in their bid that differed from the others. I had a little communication disconnect with the person actually doing the work so I sent a note. The owner responded quickly and with great customer focus and addressed my concerns. They wanted to make sure I was fully satisfied, and followed up to ensure they had achieved that goal.

is definitely a customer-focused business that delivers quality installations.

I initially found the company at a cedar products company webpage where they recommended him. Of course, I then checked him out here on Angie's List.

came out to put together an estimate for me. He measured carefully and took notes. He discussed the details of the quality of his work (posts are closer together, posts are set deeper and the gate posts are set even deeper, they only use screws and no staples, and their gates are steel-framed). He told me I could upgrade to stainless steel screws for an extra $80 for the entire project ( I did). He e-mailed me with cost info for both the shared portion and the remainder of my portion. The quotes included prices for different post set-ups (treated posts, juniper posts, c-channel posts, and steel brackets). We e-mailed back and forth quite a lot about the different choices. I was very interested in the juniper posts due to studies that have shown their long life without treatment, but I was concerned about the look and even considered going with a higher grade juniper. He ended up bringing over a post so my neighbor and I could see what they looked like. His crew of 3 men began on Monday the 21st, which was hot as anything, and they set most of the posts. The next day, two workers came back and they checked with me regarding the slope of the fence by stringing rope so I could see how the fence would fall. They also asked where I wanted the new gate (I already had 2, but wanted a third). There was a little miscommunication with this, but we got it straightened out. This day and the rest of the week it began to rain. The poor guys had to trek through the mucky clay soil in my backyard, practically losing their shoes along the way. They worked quickly despite the weather and finished by Friday.

came over to clean up the job and to ask about any issues. My neighbor and I are both very pleased and I've received several compliments on the fence.

Met with

for the original estimate and he went over the project and made a few suggestions to improve things. Overall my experience with him was good.
The day of the work several men with heavy eastern European accents came out and began the work. Between them only one understood English and this

to a few issues as I had to explain what the work was several times as they didn't under stand things. This

to us essentially playing charades at one point in order to explain which side of the fence the pickets would go on.
The overall fence quality was good to ok. They were a few blow-thrus with the nail gun resulting in the nail coming out the other side of the rail on the first 6 feet of fence, but after they got that adjusted the rest was fine. The fence itself was 4x4 PT posts with WRC rails and pickets. The fence itself looks really good.

and the

crew were all very professional and did a great job replacing my old beat-up fence that had fallen down. The estimate process was easy and they were significantly lower than 2 other bids. The quality of the fence is top notch and we were pleasantly surprised to get a top cap, which apparently makes the fence more structurally sound. Plus it looks great!

even was patient with having to deal with the property management company associated with our neighbor. I would definitely use them again!

Amazing job from meeting
Beaverton Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
for the first time to the time the workers drove away for the last time!!!
Received my appraisal promptly and I had a couple of changes.

had no issues with my changes.
Workers came on time and
Beaverton Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
also showed up on the first day. Workers tore down the old rotten fencing and hauled everything away. Left the work site very clean. They dug up old posts and cemented in new treated posts with caps where the cement was poured to take care of any water runoff and preventing posts from rotting. The workers were friendly and worked extremely hard. No loafing around for these workers!!! Then they started building my new fence and it was amazing to see them work so efficiently, quickly and professionally without fooling around.

showed up on time for our appointment and walked and measured the property with me. When I told him that the first bidder had a different measurement than him, he re-measured just be sure. He demonstrated a great deal of knowledge and explained details clearly. He was able to point out two houses in my neighborhood that had fences by him. He

a diagram and detailed the price and measurements of each section plus the total cost for tearing down the old fence and hauling it off. Because I was replacing over 200 LF of fence he included 2 free $150 gates in the estimate because I had the Angie's List coupon.

This was the second of three bids I obtained. The first bid was way out in left field from the other 2 bids.

's bid was a bit less than the third bid. I ended up choosing the other bid since there were details in materials and construction that I felt would make for a fence that would better meet my needs. These included boards thicker than standard, posts being sunk deeper and erected closer to one another than standard, alternative options for posts/post footings with longer projected lifespans, and reinforced gates. There was also differing opinions between the two providers as to which is better: Fir rails or cedar rails? Wet set of concrete or dry set of concrete? On these factors I listened to both sides and then researched on my own to reach my own conclusion. When I sent him follow-up e-mails regarding a lot of these specific details, he responded very quickly.

I believe

would have put up a fine looking fence for me and I'll keep him in mind when I'm ready to update or more likely replace my current deck.

from Prestige was at my house to give me a quote on replacing my driveway (see other review). I mentioned that I also needed to replace my fence and he said they did fences so I had him write me a quote for that. He measured my large fence at 308', providing me with the individual measurements since my neighbor was going to share the costs on one part of it. The quote included 2 gates although I had mentioned I wanted 3 (I currently have 2). I gave a 'B' for quality because his quote didn't go into any details as to what grade of cedar I wanted, the style of fence, etc. Interestingly, the total number of feet he measured was 22 feet longer than what another bid noted. I didn't watch him while he measured, but I know he used a wheel to measure and I know the other provider crawled behind bushes, etc. to get the most accurate measurement. Additionally, unless he made adjustments that aren't obvious on the drawing he made, it appears that the total feet may have included charging for fencing the area where the gates would actually be, although I guess it could be that is how they price the gates. I would want to be clearer on the entire details and recommend people ask lots of questions.

They did an awesome job!! They were on time and finished on time. The fence looks beautiful! We loved that they hired only American Citizens that spoke English. We do not support illegal immigrants doing work for us.
