"Dr and his staff are always there to help. I even called on the weekend once for an emergency and he came in and took care of my issue." They provide the best service and their prices are very competitive.

"We were able to get in quickly; everyone was super nice, the pricing was super good and I really liked them a lot. Dr. Badham was the one" who did the work on my grandson; he was really good and we were really pleased and considered changing over from our regular dentist.

Denture labs specialize in prescriptions for dentures and other oral prosthetics. If you need to be fitted for dentures, dentists take a mold of your teeth and gums, sending a copy to lab technicians.

I am familiar witht he ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers across the country, in particluar, the one in Overland Park, KS.  They are a "one stop" implant center.  The doctors there are at the top of their field, and an advantage is that you have all of the specialists that will be working with you in the same place.  That would have to make communication easier between doctors.  They usually offer seminars for patients and I think, offer free consultations, which is always worthwhile.

If you chose to go the other way, some Prosthodontists will place and restore the implants themselves. In other cases, an Oral Surgeon or Periodontist will place the implant and a Prosthodontist or General Dentist restores it.   Fees can vary quite a bit from office to office and with the different options for restorative materials.  Some offer free consultations, for others, they charge a fee that might be applied to any future treatment in some cases.

The first step is to schedule a few consultations with different providers, which it sounds like you've already done.

The most important factors when deciding which practitioner to work with:
.1.  You should feel comfortable asking your doctor any questions so that you have a good understanding of the procedure itself, healing time and long-terem outcome, and possible complications.  Write down a list of questions and take them with you to the consultation.

2.  Ask about the experience of the practitioner. How many similiar procedures have they completed?  Have they had any major complications with any cases?  Ask to see photos if possible.

3..Figure out if it works out better for your schedule, to go to a "one stop" provider or to separate providers for the placement and the restoration of the implants.

4. Follow your instincts.  If you feel rushed, didn't get direct answers to your questions, didn't communicate well or had any other negative feelings, this probably isn't the doctor for you.

5. Consider insurance coverage and financing options.  If your dental plan covers implants and it is important to you to use a preferred provider, you will want to check your list.  Many times, insurance does not cover implants, or at least not all of the steps.  You may want to inquire about payment and financing options.

I hope this at least helps you feel a little less confused and a little more directed. Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of further help.

Dear jacknd... I was very sad to hear about the problem you had with your dentures, but not surprised. The fabrication of dentures is actually a complex treatment, and requires many steps to create comfortable, functional dentures. That is why well made dentures are usually expensive. It is not always true that 'you get what you pay for', but certainly, if dentures are inexpensive, that means that many critical steps in the treatment are omitted to reduce cost. Most people are unaware that the most expensive part of making dentures is the time that the doctor spends working on them. A denturist is a techincian, not a doctor. They can make moulds and set teeth in plastic, but they are unqualified to deal with the complexities of muscular function, and proper esthetics. To complicate things further, modern dental schools are spending much less time educating doctors about how to make dentures, since dentures are becoming a less common treatment. The emphasis is now on saving teeth. I would recomend that if you seek further treatment, you seek a dentist who went to dental school no later than the 1970's (like me). We spent a long time perfecting our denture skils when I was attending  University of Oregon Dental School. All the best, Dr. Stern (Philadelphia, PA)

Denture Lab reviews in Beaverton

First, Dr. is my husbands favorite dentist ever...and he does not throw out doctor recommendations often. In addition to all the "regular stuff" a family of five needs, he also has provided amazing care for my mother.
After suffering for the past several years with miserable dentures that caused constant sores ...More in her mouth, he suggested I bring her in just to look and see if he could do anything to help. We ended up ordering a new set of dentures that he recommended that was good quality but still affordable. She is hard of hearing and has trouble understanding doctors in general. He took so much time explaining and re-explaining the process so she felt comfortable.
We had multiple stages of making sure they were going to do well. When they finally arrived (my mother has so been looking forward to them), it was during a lengthy hospital stay and I could not bring her in. I called to cancel her appointment and Dr. volunteered to come to the hospital so she did not have to wait.
Tell me when the last time you ever heard of a dentist not just being willing to do that...but volunteering to do it (I would have never asked)? This past summer he also spent a week away from his practice doing dentistry in Fiji. I believe he is a really good family dentist with a huge heart.

They are okay. They are good, I have been with them for 8 years. The office is very clean and very nice. They are a local chain, and owned by a group of dentists. The facility is nice, and the staff is nice. Sometimes it is hard to get in, and when you can get in, they book you way out.
- James G.

The office staff is quite friendly and efficient. I never have to wait for very long for your appointment. The physician asks a lot of questions and is thorough. It's a teaching hospital. The office environment is average.
- Brian M.

This is an actual dental school. They were very punctual and friendly. They have a variety of specialist that handle each of the different types of procedures that needed to be done.
- ronald C.

I recommend them if you do not have dental insurance. It is a dental clinic and there are instructors that come and check the students work a lot. I feel comfortable there. You have to be prepared to wait several hours there because it is students waiting on you.
- Felicia C.

She told me that before she could transfer me to the person who could help me she needed to ask me a few questions. After I answered her database building questions, she transfered me to a lady who said that they could not give me any pricing over the phone. I had to make an appointment and pay an office visit. This is what's wrong with our healthcare ...More system. Many providers just won't give you pricing without you spending your time and your money.
- Thierry G.

Although the craftsmanship was acceptable, we found it very difficult to actually get into the office. My husband works until 5 pm every day. He has to skip his lunch break to make it to the office before they close everyday at 4:30 pm. Twice he went by the office, once to drop them off and again to pick them up, and the office staff had left early ...More to run an errand. I think that if a business has posted business hours, they should be open during those hours.
