"I wore my appliance full time for 6 months, and had monthly visits during that time. After the 6 months, I began wearing my appliance only at night. I went back" for a 3-month exam and was released from care. I must continue to wear my appliance at night from now on. They were always punctual with appointments. They explained everything and all of my questions were always answered. I never felt like they were hurrying me through. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. is wonderful. I would highly recommend her practice for TMJ treatment.

-Ebba A.

"I have now been a patient of Dr. 's for 20 years and could not be more satisfied with the results and improvements I have seen and felt." Dr. is extremely knowledgeable, caring and professional. Since the beginning of my TMJ treatment, my clicking and popping has subsided and my headaches are much less frequent. While some appointments and treatments have taken a very long time, it has proved to be worth it. The staff is very welcoming and Dr. is always willing to work with my schedule seeing me as early as 7:00 am. I recommend Dr. as a general dentist and TMJ specialist. He also makes a great crown, I have a full set of them now!

I am familiar witht he ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers across the country, in particluar, the one in Overland Park, KS.  They are a "one stop" implant center.  The doctors there are at the top of their field, and an advantage is that you have all of the specialists that will be working with you in the same place.  That would have to make communication easier between doctors.  They usually offer seminars for patients and I think, offer free consultations, which is always worthwhile.

If you chose to go the other way, some Prosthodontists will place and restore the implants themselves. In other cases, an Oral Surgeon or Periodontist will place the implant and a Prosthodontist or General Dentist restores it.   Fees can vary quite a bit from office to office and with the different options for restorative materials.  Some offer free consultations, for others, they charge a fee that might be applied to any future treatment in some cases.

The first step is to schedule a few consultations with different providers, which it sounds like you've already done.

The most important factors when deciding which practitioner to work with:
.1.  You should feel comfortable asking your doctor any questions so that you have a good understanding of the procedure itself, healing time and long-terem outcome, and possible complications.  Write down a list of questions and take them with you to the consultation.

2.  Ask about the experience of the practitioner. How many similiar procedures have they completed?  Have they had any major complications with any cases?  Ask to see photos if possible.

3..Figure out if it works out better for your schedule, to go to a "one stop" provider or to separate providers for the placement and the restoration of the implants.

4. Follow your instincts.  If you feel rushed, didn't get direct answers to your questions, didn't communicate well or had any other negative feelings, this probably isn't the doctor for you.

5. Consider insurance coverage and financing options.  If your dental plan covers implants and it is important to you to use a preferred provider, you will want to check your list.  Many times, insurance does not cover implants, or at least not all of the steps.  You may want to inquire about payment and financing options.

I hope this at least helps you feel a little less confused and a little more directed. Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of further help.

Dear jacknd... I was very sad to hear about the problem you had with your dentures, but not surprised. The fabrication of dentures is actually a complex treatment, and requires many steps to create comfortable, functional dentures. That is why well made dentures are usually expensive. It is not always true that 'you get what you pay for', but certainly, if dentures are inexpensive, that means that many critical steps in the treatment are omitted to reduce cost. Most people are unaware that the most expensive part of making dentures is the time that the doctor spends working on them. A denturist is a techincian, not a doctor. They can make moulds and set teeth in plastic, but they are unqualified to deal with the complexities of muscular function, and proper esthetics. To complicate things further, modern dental schools are spending much less time educating doctors about how to make dentures, since dentures are becoming a less common treatment. The emphasis is now on saving teeth. I would recomend that if you seek further treatment, you seek a dentist who went to dental school no later than the 1970's (like me). We spent a long time perfecting our denture skils when I was attending  University of Oregon Dental School. All the best, Dr. Stern (Philadelphia, PA)

Tmj Treatment reviews in Beaverton

They’ve completely updated their offices and have state of the art equipment. They are the best dental office in town. They even built-in massages in their dental chairs. I had to have a 5 year x- of my jaw and you just stand right in front of it and it fits right around your head and it rotates around your head, which is ...More really neat. The staff is friendly and very professional. I had an extremely bad tooth a few years ago, called them on a Friday, and they were able to open the office for me on Saturday to get my tooth pulled.

He is a wonderful dentist. I suffered from TMJ and was in a lot of pain and he just fixed it. He is one of the few people that are certified in TMJ and he goes all over the world giving lectures to other dentists and teaching them. He ran a series of studies on me which my insurance did cover. I have learnt so much from him. He worked out a treatment ...More plan with me to get things under control. I would recommend him. He is very nice and the staff is very nice. He is very professional and easy to talk to.

I have had a few crowns and other work with Dr. . He is the best i ever have.
I have very extensive crown work, they were done ten years ago in Hawaii. They started to crack over time. i have been to many cosmetic dentist over the years since i no longer live in Hawaii, and as i feared, the work has been a disappointment ...More and charges are unreasonable. I finally found Dr. . He is very thorough, efficient and has a lot of integrity in his work.
I had a difficult tooth in the front that cracked and i was extremely worried about matching the color with the rest of my crown. He kept my cracked crown as a model and have the new crown fitted exactly in color and shape as the old crown. I am a hard to please patient and this time, i am very happy. He did a perfect job and his charges are reasonable.
I am very grateful i found hits Dentist.

My experience was nothing less than exceptional. I've been going to this establishment for years and when I moved 2 hours away, I stopped going to any Dentist. 5 years later, I moved back and they still had all my information in their system. All the staff are courteous, I get right in, and Dr. was very personable, his bedside ...More manner was great, and very thorough in his decisions. All my questions were answered. My periodontal scaling was done very professional. kept asking me if I could feel the instruments, asked me how my pain was, and if I needed anymore Nitrous Oxide. then showed me before and after x-rays to let me see that she had gotten all the plaque build up that was under my . Although my mouth was sensitive for a couple of days (which is expected) , My pain was very minimal and I was able to get back to work by the following Monday.
I was also set up for two visits so they could do my whole mouth. One on Tuesday and one on Thursday. They are so busy it takes a couple of months to get in. I was still living 2 hours away and missed my first appointment. The next available appointment was not for 3 more months but they knew that I lived out of town and put me on a cancellation waiting list. They moved some scheduling around and was able to get me in on the same day I was scheduled but did my whole mouth. I've been to many organizations where I was less than satisfied and it is hard for me to rate highly for any organization so I felt it was necessary to take the time and rate this Dentist office with a 5 star rating. I would recommend anyone for this Dentist office.

He is a specialist in complicated dental issues and is really the best and in fact, one of the best in the area. He is expensive, but he is very knowledgeable and informative and takes time to explain things to me and answers my questions. I had a complicated case and he worked really hard. He is currently my dentist as well.

At my first appointment Dr Kasabji greeted me at the front desk and was very friendly, I explained to him that I am a big baby and am terrified of having dental work done and he promised to be extra gentle with me. The first step was to have X-Rays, an exam and then a cleaning. The dental hygienist (Dawn) proved to be very professional, knowledgeable ...More and thorough. Unfortunately I have an incredibly sensitive gag reflex to go along with my fear of having dental work done so it took much, much longer for her to complete the X-rays than it should have, yet despite repeated attempts she was pleasant, kind and patient with me. With the help of other members of the staff they were able to get a complete set of X-rays. Dr Kasabji, true to his word, was very gentle during the exam and then explained the course of treatment that he had in mind. After my cleaning I scheduled another appointment for the following week to begin repairing the damage created by my years of negligence. Having had no insurance and lacking the money to pay out of pocket was the primary reason I had not seen a dentist in nearly 20 years but my fear of the process played a large role too. During my second and third appointments Dr Kasabji filled two teeth and pull another that had broken down to the gum line. Every step of the way he checked with me to make sure that I was comfortable and was not in any pain. Both he and his assistant ( ) were really kind, professional and most importantly gentle. I return tomorrow for my forth appointment and while I don't imagine I will ever look forward to going to the dentist I trust and respect Dr Kasabji and his staff and I am so happy that I have found , I give them my highest recommendation. At my fourth and fifth appointments Dr and her assistant prepared on of my teeth for a crown. The procedure was painless, the temporary crown was comfortable and the permanent crown looks and feels great. I will be returning for another crown in the weeks ahead and am looking forward to maintaining good dental health in the future with CT.

I had been to a dentist in the area who was recommended as an expert in dental appliances for apnea. The appliance was expensive and cheesy. It broke in under 2 months and wasn't adjustable...and did nothing for my apnea.
So, I was a bit skeptical about going to another sleep apnea specialist. Dr. and staff are ...More the polar opposite of my first dentist.
I've been a patient for over a year and can honestly say that Dr. is a top practitioner and a terrific person. You're always greeted warmly by the staff with professional grace (even when I dropped by without an appointment).
Dr. has a full compliment of high tech equipment to custom fit not only the appliance but also the treatment. She uses home based sleep studies, in-office interviews and blood pressure readings to measure the progress of each client.
The appliance has been a god-sent, it's rugged, fits perfectly and being able to adjust it myself has avoided the need to make an appointment for every minor tweak. ...and not to mention I'm sleeping well and not drowsy during the day...Yay!
Dr. does not cut corners and is tirelessly patient with every patient.
is a great example of what makes a wonderful place to live and work.
- Gary H.

He is very good as a TMJ specialist. The office runs like a swift clock. It's very accommodating and friendly. The insurance goes through quickly because they process it properly. I feel like I am getting fantastic treatment.
