Sounds like your biggest problem will be narrowing your list to a limited number of models, and deciding what brand names you are willing to consider to narrow the field.

You can search for websites blogging complaints for each model you are considering to see how they rate with users, and you can also go to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website at     www.nhtsa.gov     to see how many recalls there have been on a specific model and year.

Most dealers these days have websites with their listed prices for new and used cars that you can browse to get an idea of available listed prices.

I would also recommend that you check out the used car values (free) for models you might be interested in on    www.edmunds.com    and on Kelley Blue Book  -  www.kbb.com

Those 2 sources will give you a lot of negotiating power, because they list what the dealer pays the manufacturer on new cars, shows what people have been paying for each vehicle model and model year, and shows used valuations also. There are undoubtedly other such sources also - these are just the ones I have used and seem to be the best known.

They give you two years of free maintenance. They are quick and efficient. The sales process was good enough. They have recently built a new dealership and maintenance center and it is very nice looking.

They are open from 5 AM to 11 PM which is fantastic for my work schedule. They also provide a free loner car so I can leave my car there and come back later to pick it up. I do not have to have an appointment and they always get it done the same day unless they find a more serious issue. They always do a good job and I will absolutely continue to use them.

from Auto Network returned a message immediately, we set up an appointment for the next day and drove away with our car. It was a great experience working with them and we would contact them again if buying another vehicle.

It was a typical dealership experience. They lent me a newer Outback for the day while they worked on my vehicle.

the mechanic is very good at what he does and is a no nonsense guy. He isn't pushy making you second guess yourself either..straight and to the point. The service was great and the car runs a lot better now (2011 Outback @ 65k miles). No complaints.

They did a good job. I had to take the car back to do work on them and they fixed it no problem. There was a defective part but they went ahead and replaced that. They didn't charge me anything.

They were very friendly and informative on the phone when I called about a specific car I wanted to look at.

Ordered and replaced a broken plastic trim part on my front seat. Installed the part wrong and I had to redo it myself so it didn't break again. The dealership is chaotic to say the least. Cars parked everywhere. The service department is usually lined up outside the building and the wait can be hours just for a

service. My bigger complaint is that they won't stop calling me. I get phone calls all the time from salespeople with thick foreign accents whom I can't understand. About the only word that ever comes through is "
