"Instead of using Angie's List, I foolishly hired this "builder" based on the recommendation of the log home kit provider, "Mountain Creations" of Wexford, PA." By far, this was the single most horrible experience of my life. I am currently in litigation with this "buiIder" and am warning everyone I can to stay away from him. I cannot begin to explain to the world how worthless the guy is. From the beginning to the end this "builder" was deceptive. He would lie about the cost of performing work and then try and charge you for work that was included in the contract. Several different times he would ask me for an advance in his draws and once he would get the money he would disappear for weeks at a time.
and his "crew" of 1 to 2 guys would show up about 35% of the time. He took him almost a year to build part of my home which normally would take most builders 4 months. Because the construction took so long, I have had significant water damage to my home (mold, moisture staining, delamination of the sub-flooring). During construction, I have caught his workers sleeping in my home! His crew would leave their garbage all over the work site each day, there were several huge piles of garbage left all around the outside of my home site. Because of this, I now have a family of raccoons raiding through my unfinished house nightly. Currently my home is unfinished because he refused to complete the work that is clearly spelled out in the contract. I am now stuck with a home that I cannot afford to complete. This guy is very unprofessional, he cannot manage a project or his crew properly. I would highly recommend staying away from him and would gladly speak to anyone who is considering using this person to build anything for them. I have a ton of photos I can provide to back up what I am saying.

came out to look at the front of the house. He asked me what I wanted to do. He took pictures" then sent me a proposed drawing. I chose some alternate plants (which were no problem).
and his co-worked came out to our house. They transplanted some older plants, planted new plants, added top soil, and mulched. Our yard looks great. I highly recommend

was extremely professional and had some very good ideas. I would definite use them again.

You need a general contractor - prefereably one who specializes in additions, because you have excavation, waterproofing, concrete, concrete cutting, carpentry, door and window, etc trades to coordinate.

The cost will depend a great deal on your topography around the house - if the base of the window will be above ground level at least 6 inches, then could run about $500 for a legal egress window purchase and about $1000-2000 for installation, depending on how deep into the concrete you have to cut.

If the bottom of the window will be below ground level, then to call it a bedroom (which mandates legal sized second egress and usauully at least one window)  then you will have two choices - bring it out into a solid watertight concrete storm cellar with collar to keep water out, stairs, and and weather and bug-tight cellar door that is inward-opening, which means a lot of space for stairs and landings top and bottom, or bring it out into an oversized window well at least 36 inches in diameter, and with steps to ground level, with adequate drainage and waterproofing to keep it dry. Either way, sometimes about as easy to put in an outside door as a window, and might raise property value more. Cost from $2-5,000 depending on how deep into concrete wall you have to dig, whether concrete wsall needs reinforcing with steel frame because of the depth of cut, how easy the digging is, and what your water conditions are near the foundation. The last thing you want to do is create an easy water or vermin ingress with your egress.

Dictated by Federal LAW , you will need a Licensed and EPA Certified HVAC Contractor

to make such repairs . In fact , by law , ONLY A licenesed HVAC contractor can buy or install

said eguipment , NOT A handyman nor general contractor !

YES , You should have an A.C. sleeve surrounding the through the wall unit . These sleeves will usually accompany NEW products , either as a package or an add on equipment purchase.

Contact a Licenesed PROFFESSIONAL at once !

It depends on what type of ramp you need. If it is built out of wood you could look for a carpenter or a deck company. If you are looking for a concrete ramp a mason would be what you are looking for. There are also metal ramps and I believe some medical supply companies may carry them or be able to steer you in the right direction. As for insurance coverage I am not sure. You may have coverage and would be best talking to your agent. Depending on why you need this ramp there may even be programs through your local government or even some of the local charities might help. It might be a project a local Scout Troop might help out on.

did a great job with our yard. Very professional, responsive, and punctual. They were really hard workers - even our neighbors noticed and commented how much pride
Tulsa General Contractors Provider Name Locked
must take in their work. We love that a service for "green" lawn care exists in Indianapolis. We are looking forward to the spring to see our awesome lawn because of their hard work :)

The

was shingled. Looked good. Now it leaks. Has been for two years. I have called him several times and he keeps saying we will be out and fix it.Never came back. Now i have mold on sun room ceiling where it leaks.I had my insurance company look at it now I am losing my insurance because of the mold. When they put the windows in they did not caulk the bottom of the windows. Left many cracked or broken trim board around the interior of the windows. The deck has started to sag by about 10 inches on one end.I submitted a claim with BBB and he refused to respond to them.I am disabled and unable to perform or pay for repairs to be done. I will seek a court judgement for this. This man works through various state programs like WHCA in

Tulsa General Contractors Provider Name Locked
came by to give me a quote on replacing the wood around a window in my bathroom. He told me he couldn't give me any quote, because he wouldn't know about much work it would be until he opened up the window. Ok, I thought. That sounds reasonable. Then, he told me he couldn't schedule me in on a weekend for over three weeks. Ok, I thought. Thats fine. I'm busy. We will schedule for three weeks from now. He calls me the Friday before our scheduled time and asks to confirm for 9:00 the following morning. I said, "sounds great!" I waited around for two hours the next day. I received an apologetic phonecall asking if he could come at 12:00. I said fine. I waited another hour. No

Sept 25, 2014. I contacted

Sept 26, 2014.
Tulsa General Contractors Provider Name Locked
and two of his associates came by and examined the work. They came up with ideas and
Tulsa General Contractors Provider Name Locked
said he'd have an estimate in my mail box later in the day. I did see his license and insurance.
Sept 30, 2014. I did not get the estimate yet so I phoned
Tulsa General Contractors Provider Name Locked
. He said he'd be by the next day. He added that he needed to remeasure soemthing.
Oct 1, 2014.
Tulsa General Contractors Provider Name Locked
did not show up.
Oct 2, 2014. I called
Tulsa General Contractors Provider Name Locked
and he asked me to call him again the next day early as a reminder and to reschedule.
Oct 3, 2014. I called
Tulsa General Contractors Provider Name Locked
at 8:50 am to arrange a time for him to come by. He said "it would be tight" because he had to pick up his son. I asked "are you interested in this job?" I asked several times to be clear that I needed an estimate to decide.
Tulsa General Contractors Provider Name Locked
answered yes and said he would have someone over later today. The conversation was polite but I clearly expressed frustration.
No one showed up on Oct 3, despite the fact that I was available in the afternoon as we had agreed. I gave up on the contractor.
The net result was a waste of my time (and good weather). I would recommend that the contractor be up front about jobs he is willing to take.

I bought the $200 for $79 worth of Handyman Services. I feel as if I wasted money. In my message to them and when I talked to the man they were sending out here I told them exactly what I was wanting done and they sent someone out that knew NOTHING about electrical. He told me before he started that he would install both switches and he would call it even. I thought to myself that $200 to install two switches was a bit over the top. My garage switch did not work properly because I had purchasednd to use with fluorescent light fixtures. I feel he should have known that before he installed it. The front light switch is not working properly either and I double checked the type I bought and it should work just fine. I don't understand why he didn't check that before he left. I went to Lowe's and bought another switch for my garage and I installed and it would perfectly. I really thought that $200 I would be able to get more done than just the installation of two light switches.

Two workers arrived on time and completed the work within an hour
and a half. They did a good job considering they didn't come with the
proper tools for the "knock down" look. They were able to use the tools
that they had to make it match as best they could. I don't think anyone
could notice if it wasn't pointed out. Overall, I was pleased with the
cost and the job.
