Woodworking Reviews in Norman

I apologize that this review is seven months late. This tardiness is in no way a reflection of how I evaluate
's services.
I needed expert handyman help at a very unsettled time. My husband had just just been released from the hospital with a terminal diagnosis, I needed help NOW, because I had to separate the nursing area from the rest of the house. And It had to be a glass or screen door because I also needed to keep a recently adopted belligerent cat not just closed off from the original feline inhabitants, but I also wanted them to be able to get used to the sight of each other.
My door problem did not have an easy store-bought solution but
went the extra mile and scouted around and found a used storm door from the Habitat for Humanity ReStore for not much money. Then he tinkered and adjusted and tinkered until it fit the opening perfectly.
I needed a motor for my garage door because I no longer had the time and energy to operate the door manually. Installation involved among other things crawling around in a low garage attic.
And many of my door frames had been ruined by scratching cats. Replacements had to be measured, cut, stained and fitted into place.
All this had to be executed while the house was swarming with hospice personnel and medical equipment providers establishing a base of operation.
, and his associate
were infinitely patient, tactful and understanding. They completed the work two days and did a wonderful job. They were professional and a pleasure to have around..The price was very reasonable.
I will definitely ask for
's help for future jobs, if he is willing.
Again, I apologize for the delay in submitting this review. My husband hung on for five more months, and after that I have been quite busy.

removed the cabinet trim around my kitchen window and replaced it with a newer look. And he removed all the hinges on 23 cabinet doors putting on new ones and rehung the doors making them level and even. He came prepared with every tool or appliance he could possible need. The whole project took him half a day.

Norman Carpenters Provider Name Locked
did a great job painting our poolhouse and a badroom in the main house. When he showed up for work the first day I added in many extras (trim carpentry, window sills, etc.) that were not included in his original bid. His add-on costs were very reasonable and the quality of the work was superb.

I asked
Norman Carpenters Provider Name Locked
to install a cabinet over the
Norman Carpenters Provider Name Locked
, as the one there was too large to accommodate the microwave. As I just moved in, there was nothing in place yet. He said he could make it cheaper. We also agreed that he would make some pantry and additional storage cabinets for me in the kitchen/dining area. I was waiting to unpack because I downsized and there was insufficient room. The microwave was delivered and was in the garage awaiting a place to install it. The first time
Norman Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was to come and install the constructed cabinets he said he was ill. Subsequently, over a period of more than a month he "couldn't get the stain quite right, his daughter was ill, he was ill again, etc. I gave him one "final date" and he showed up, but said he was too ill to work. As I did not have the time to go buy another cabinet, I gave him yet another

. He called the night before to confirm the date and time, then failed to appear. After an hour I called and advised him that I could no longer use his services.

I note
Norman Carpenters Provider Name Locked
's response and have to confirm that he talks a good game. At no time did he indicate that he had actually built anything. The moving service he provided was to move the boxes still stored in the garage (because I had not cupboards yet for storage) over to the side). He never indicated that anything was done and did not even return the cabinet door that he had taken to match the stain. I never changed my order for the bridge cabinet and said I needed that ASAP. The pantry cabinet was a secondary possibility that we discussed on the MANY visits he made without doing any work and I would have gladly paid him for some storage so that I could finally unpack, had he or his family not been too ill for a couple of MONTHS. I also note that he continues these behaviors two years later, per his reports from others.

They primed both sides of the new siding instead of just one and replaced the rotten particle board that was underneath with primed plywood. Very polite and quick. Cleaned up after the job was complete. The paint I bought didn't exactly match, because it was now sun-bleached, but he feathered it into the old paint so it doesn't show. He caulked where the builder didn't. I'm very happy with the work.

We needed help after two different "handy"men bailed out on our project, leaving us about 6 weeks behind schedule.
Norman Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was quick with the estimate and the project was complete in about 2 1/2 weeks after we called them. Despite rainy weather and a round of illness, the folks from
Norman Carpenters Provider Name Locked
got the job done. The work persons were friendly and easy-going. They worked well with each other and with us. One brought his chihuahua (only after clearing it with us) and kept it in the truck. Our plumber/tiler kept the mood light, singing as she worked. We were jumpy about being left in the lurch again, after our previous problems with other companies.

got the job done well and in a timely manner. We love the changes to our kitchen and would recommend them to anyone looking to do some medium-level remodeling or with small upgrades to make. Even after the job was done, they were polite and helpful in explaining the bill and made sure we were satisfied with the job.

We started exactly on time and they came to work everyday and did something everyday. When a snag occurred they went the extra mile to fix it. We started Nov 1 and they made sure we had our kitchen back by Christmas. The cabinets are top quality, the design is very good. Frankly from everything I've heard you don't want anyone else to redo your kitchen than

was prompt and worked well with the electrician and concrete saw crew involved in this project. The job was done neatly and efficiently. I was also impressed at how structurally sound he made the drywall repair. His charges were very reasonable.

Norman Carpenters Provider Name Locked
does very good work and we plan on hiring him again later in the spring for a few other jobs. No need to look elsewhere when you find the right person who's honest and will do the job to your satisfaction.

Norman Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was the only "Millwork" guy who we chose to help us. He also was working on other jobs, but he did our repairs in a very timely manner. We appreciate his work and recommend him to anyone who needs repairs or cabinet work. He also hired other workers to repair our ceiling and stain our wood to match our upper cabinets. The work to a few weeks but he is worth the wait.
