"I used
and his
crew once before for some brick work and was so impressed with the quality of their workmanship that" I never considered anyone else when I was finally ready to set my patio and landscape retaining wall. I spoke with
in early Sept and asked if he could come out to give me an estimate and his professional opinion on my ideas. He scheduled me within a week and arrived on time and eager to hear what I was envisioning. We discussed the pros and cons of stamped concrete and flagstone, as well as various types of landscape wall materials. After about 30 minutes of brainstorming he wrote up two separate estimates for the patio and two more for the landscape wall - all within reason and my expectations given the respective materials. When asked,
told me matter of factly that he thought the less expensive landscape wall option would look much better. I let
know it would likely take some time to get back him since the
had to review and approve the design. He understood completely, commented that he did a lot of work in the neighborhood and didn't foresee any issues with any of the designs being considered, and offered to put the job on his calendar for the week I was expecting to hear back from the
, adding that we can always push it back if needed. As
expected, the
approved both of the designs and work commenced on schedule two business days later when he showed up in the morning to ensure the
lines were accurate. The entire project took only four days – three for the patio and one for the landscape wall.
and his crew were always professional and pleasant to work with, and they cleaned up the yard as if it were their own each evening. In just the first week after the project was completed three neighbors and an unrelated contractor all commented how terrific it looked and inquired about the company that did the job. Another neighbor commented that the crew was "great" and "very considerate". It’s pretty obvious
's team are masters of their craft who enjoy what they do. Their patience and attention to detail are evident in their work, and I’m very pleased how everything turned out. So just go with
, you won't regret it.

"I had an estimate a day after I submitted the request. The job went smooth from A to Z thanks in apart to
who was the on the job foreman" for the mason's.
was always willing to listen and wanting to make sure everyone was on point. Part of the repairs needed was the flashing around the chimney. Which required a roofer, not under
. The roofer came out while it was raining outside. I called
who ran point with the roofing foreman to put off the work until after the rain. I had a further issue with the roof, the hip of the roof had the wrong shingle, so it was blowing in the wind, one call and they were out the next day to correct the problem.

Masonry exteriors

Generally considered the highest quality choice for home exteriors, brick and stone are also almost maintenance free and will last as long as the house, though some repairs may be needed from time to time.

Even if your home looks safe from the outside, there are invisible hazards like moisture, radon and carbon monoxide you need to be on the lookout for.

Become familiar with these key masonry conditions and terms before hiring for brick or stone exterior repairs.

As with any contractor, it is best to get multiple bids from different mason contractors to discuss the job and gather references, says Rodvoid. (Photo courtesy of Angie's List member Krista L. of Twinsburg, Ohio)

Selecting the right masonry contractor should involve multiple bids and references from the contractors you interview. One provider shares five helpful steps.

Detergent soaking and low-pressure pressure washing (to avoid etching or swirling the surface) about $0.50-1.00/SF - ditto for the sealing. Minimum charge probably about $150. This is something you can easily do yourself if you are just a bit yard handy - rent a pressure washer (or use this job as excuse to buy one) - 1000-1500 psi one is all you want for this, a gallon of concrete/driveway washing detergent, a large paint brush for the sealer, and as much brick/stone/concrete sealer as you need for your area - could probably do yourself for about $0.50/SF. View a few online videos on how to pressure wash without leaving swirl or etch marks in brick/concrete.

This is just a wonderful company that I would highly recommend, and use again. It's a family owned, third generation company and they responded and scheduled my small chimney job quickly. The two young workers were courteous, neat and helpful so it was a pleasure to have them. I also learned that it's a full service local construction company so I would like to use this excellent local resource again for other house projects in the future.

contacted me day after my call to the office requesting an estimate. He came to the house the next day , reviewed the work to be done, and sent me an estimate the next day. His stucco team started the job a week later, and the painters followed in a few days. the stucco was repaired perfectly with an exact color match in a few days, and the painters took 4 or 5 days more to finish. The painters did a great job. No paint splashed on to adjacent surfaces, and the house looks brand new again. The house has 3 stories on one side, so painting was a challenge with the extra heights.

and his workers were easy to work with, answer questions, and make a few minor adjustments to the job that came up.
Wish all jobs went this smoothly.

This company did excellent work in a difficult area building new wide stone steps between an existing porch and a large slate and stone patio. Also a 100'+ long stone pathway had gotten lumpy over the years and they took the entire pathway up releveled , and replaced it so it looks like new. The owner came and gave us the estimate quickly and the job was started on schedule. It took about 8 days. They came consistently to work on the project. This work is quite dusty removing old cement and stonework but the men kept the construction site under control . They were polite and efficient. I would certainly recommend this company for quality of work and cost.

came as promised to do the job and did so beautifully. Their process is informal: you call, they call you back, they spec the job and give a receipt at the end -- not a lot of formal paperwork involved, but all goes according to plan and the work was top notch. This particular job was quite small - just $300.

stated the contract specified one hour of travel time. Half an hour for both him and his hired hand even though they traveled in the same vehicle.
I understood that materials weren't included but question what value was included in a $99.00 offer for 3 hours worth of labor that is immediately reduced by 1 hour travel time.

then asked if I could provided a ladder. Evidently he cannot provide any of his own materials or equipment.
I would like to coordinate responses from all frustrated customers who regret purchasing this offer to escalate our experiences, frustration and dissatisfaction.

The thoro coat was successfully applied to the rear wall, and the old concrete removed from the facade, the wood replaced and insulation replaced, and stucco applied to the facade. The contract was signed in May, 2014 and this work was completed by November, 5th, 2014. At that point, I made the third payment on the contract and, in effect, no work has been completed since then. My house is suffering water damage as a result of the windows and door surround being exposed and due to the faulty windows not being replaced or stucco work completed on the steps (as per an engineer's report). I have repeatedly called and texted and emailed Mr.
Midwest City Masons Provider Name Locked
to no effect; he has repeatedly given me excuses since last November, including that the windows were being ordered (for a year now!), that he could not force his carpenters to work, that he was on vacation, that it was a religious holiday, that his mother was ill, etc, etc. etc. He also has spoken with me in unprofessional and inappropriate ways, and continually asked me for more money while not completing any additional work. I offered at one point to pay the remaining 25% balance in steps, as he completed remaining aspects of the contract, and this also has had no impact. Finally, I have faced significant delays as a result of issues w/ Landmark in my area since I filed a Landmark permit against my instructions (the work was initiated prior to the Landmark ruling-- by his filing the permit, this created unnecessary confusion and delays). While the work that he has done seems of a good standard, I am exhausted with the delays and lack of responsiveness and lack of work being completed. I am now facing a second winter with no lights on the outside of my building (he removed these a year ago to do the stucco work and has not replaced them after repeated requests), debris is left in my front yard, and he left scaffolding up the whole winter--not sufficiently secured, so boards flew into my yard and my neighbor's yard. It is also nearly impossible to reach him; he never picks up either phone, his voice mail boxes are usually full, when you do reach him, he says, "I need to call you right back," and does not; he says he is coming over to speak with me-- "I am on my way now" and never turns up. He is full of excuses. While he has performed some good work, I would not recommend him to anyone given how he has acted and not completed work.

My brick mailbox was hit by a car and

and Stone came out and fixed it for me. Looked better than it did before it was hit. Great job! Will be using them again.
- Gary S.

This was a horrible experience ! This contractor stole $ 28,000 from my 90 year old grandmother and used her money to pay his bills.

We filed a criminal complaint and due to the weak laws in Maryland, he only had to pay a $ 50 dollar fine. This was unbelievable, he stole twenty-eight thousand dollars from the elderly, and he pays a $ 50 dollar fine. Please check the Maryland Judicial Records and you will see.
