Sagging gutters not only affect the appearance of your home but can lead to water damage over time. Find out how to repair gutters and when to call in a pro
Two notes #1 20 feet is going to cost you more per foot that 100 feet. #2 All prices are relative to Your market ie Omaha is less expensive than St Lious. Here expect to pay on the 100 foot job $5 to $6 per foot of gutter (5" aluminum) plus the $4 to $5 a foot for the downspouts and $15 to $20 for soffit and facsia covering ie vinyl soffit panels and painted or vinyl clad aluminum covering the fascia. In the trade a soffit & fascia job.

Not knowing what type of eaves (the lower edge of the roof) you had before the new soffits were intalled I have to guess what might have happened. If you had closed eves (no soffits, just rafter tails with blocking between) before as was done on some older homes it is possible they removed or drilled holes through to the attic. When this was done there should have been a baffle installed to direct the air flow up and over the insulation. This would only be possible for the soffit installer to do if the wood blocking was removed and not just had holes drilled in it. If the insulation contractor did not go all the way to the exterior wall that could very well be the cause or it he did not make sure the insulation was pushed down to make contact with the ceiling material. If the house was never cold before I would bet the problem is at the eaves. You should call the insulation company for an answer.
The ice build-up in the gutter should not, provided they are properly attached and solid, rip out the gutter.
When you get snow slides and large chunks of frozen precip that let go and slide down the roof with velocity, those are what tear off the gutters and create damage.
If you are concerned about the snow load, a snow rake and/or a proper roofer can remove some of the accumulated snow.
Some ice damming is unavoidable in the correct conditions but I would urge you to look into proper ventilation of the roof and air sealing and insulation. This will reduce your home's inclination to form these ice dams in the future.
Gutter Installation reviews in Durant
I would totally go with in the future.
Then, the endcaps they installed were leaking. I had those replaced by them because a couple were leaking. When they got done, most of them leaked - one was literally streaming. They came back 6/9 to fix those and an overshooting issue on one end of the house, and to fix an elbow at the bottom of one of the downspouts that was installed literally backwards ie: the downspout was outside the elbow at bottom rather than the being inserted inside the elbow so of course water came out the downspout rather than out the bottom elbow into the splashblock. Oh boy.
I haven't been able to evaluate the overshoot problem during a heavy rain yet to see if that's fixed but a couple of the endcaps at the back of the house STILL leak. I sent R.
Overall, overpriced (at least the downspouts, which cost $900+, where other contractors charged much less - $400-500 for the same 6 downspouts) and very careless work.
Worse, once they got my money (I settled the bill with them on
I feel I should have had them install the gutter guards and left the rest to some other contractor. It's been pretty much a mess, IMO.
Wouldn't use them again though may have to if/when my roof is replaced if the roofer doesn't remove/replace the gutter guards.
Mr. is fine at first, as soon as you paid him, he does not care and will not standby his work.
They came exactly when they said they would
Finished exactly as they said
Unbelievable quality, workmanship, price and professionalism.
They were recommended by our general contractor(who was recommended by Angies list), he was impressed by Weavers finished work.
It is now
Asked to have another downspout installed..... this time they stated it would be another $100. Mind you, a few months ago it was only $75. So because I refused to pay the $100 and stated it was unfair, they stated they told me to go find someone else to do it.
I never stated that this should have been all addressed when they did the calculations in the estimate.... nor did I point fingers for later damage to the foundation could be due to this negligence. I was even willing to pay more than the original stated estimate, though I feel they should have covered it because they should have calculated into the estimate. But than again, they arent engineers and likely don't have any real
A tragic case of a company gauging the client because they have expressed a need.
They are more than happy to do things for you if it yields them enough $$$.... really how does something go from $75 to $100 over a couple of months.
