"On January 31, 2014 at 8:48 PM I brought my daughter's iPod Touch 5th Generation to the I Fix and Repair in Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville, NC. There was a small crack in the top of the iPOD screen, but that is not what it was being brought in for. The Wi-Fi was not working. They said they needed to special order a wi-fi cable and it would take ...more 7-10 business days. I paid $93.60, $15.00 for the part and $75.00 for the labor and then taxes. I did not have a problem with the 7-10 days and they said they would call when it came in. They finally called on Saturday the 15th of February and said that the part was in. I brought the device back to them on the 15th. At that time, I was told that the tech that would be working on it would be in tomorrow and work on it and they would call me when it was done. I waited until Monday and I received no call. I called the shop and they said they did not have a
to work on it and they would call when the tech got to it. I called them several times and was told that the person who works on it was not there or had not been there and would call me. They never bothered to call me and I had to call them several times. One of the times I called, I was told that they had broken the screen completely and the LCD was not working on it. At that time, they told me that if I wanted them to replace it for free, it would take 6 months for the company to replace it or my 2nd option was to pay $120.00 and they would order the screen and fix it form me. I inquired as to why they had not called me to tell me that and why I had to call them and the lady on the phone told me she didn't know. I was very frustrated and she could tell. At that point, I said just replace the wi-fi and give me back the iPOD with the broken screen because I was not paying $120.00 for something that they broke. The lady on the phone said that she was not sure what was going on and that she would have the district manager call me when she came back to town on Wednesday, February 26th. I finally received a call from the district manager on February 27th and she said that she doesn't know why they told me the LCD was broken because it was not, she said that the screen was broken and that unless I paid to have it fixed, they were not going to replace the broken glass but they would put it back on and I could come and pick it up the next day. At that point, I was ready to be done with them and was very frustrated with the whole process. I finally was able to pick up the iPOD Touch March 11th and the screen was cracked and missing pieces. The wi-fi was replaced but they said it is still not working because they said that it is more than likely a software/board issue. "
