Basement Waterproofing Reviews in Worthington

Pat is extremely knowledgeable about crawlspaces. He presented several options to me, and helped me work within my budget to address the issues in my crawlspace. He arrived promptly and completed work in the timeline specified. When I needed Pat to come back at a later date to help me with a minor issue, he did so free of charge and the next business day after I called. Incredible service!! I recommend him to all my friends and neighbors.

returned my calls promptly and worked with me on scheduling an onsite visit. After reviewing the situation he suggested that nothing needed to be done before beginning my remodel. I was happy to see a contractor who's honesty and reputation were more important than potential profits. As a serial DYI'er who has worked with many contractors over the years, this was a truly refreshing experience.

Basement Waterproofing reviews in Worthington

Hydra did a fantastic job and we couldn't be happier. We were so bummed when our basement (partially finished) started leaking water in. After talking to several companies, we hired Hydra to "waterproof" and install a sump pump in the basement of our 75 year old home. Owner, Pat

was a pleasure to work with - seemed very honest, punctual, and knowledgeable about basements and their water woes. His crew was fantastic, and worked extremely hard for three long days. The basement looks great and we were so appreciative of the care taken to do minimal damage to the "finished" portion of the basement. We are pleased with the results and feel confident that our basement will be nice and dry. Thanks bunches, Hydra!

Called several providers.

arrived, gave preliminary analysis, suggested removing materials to perform more detailed analysis, provided preliminary estimate less than others. On 2nd visit,

affirmed problems, could see more work needed, gave final estimate $1000 less than others, including tips to make job go smoothly. Very professional analysis and courtesy. Crew came exactly as scheduled, more than originally planned (which allowed job to go more quickly). Crew courteous and customer-friendly, did work with speed and skill, cleaned up thoroughly, and suggested some additional things I could do to minimize water impact on basement. A great experience; I'd highly recommend the firm.

did everything correctly. The team of eight workmen arrived on time, and each man introduced himself as he walked into my house. They wasted no time in getting to work. The steps to the basement were covered with a tarp to protect them. The men carried the old concrete out of the house, bucket by bucket. Everyone on the team worked efficiently and as neatly as they could. At the end of the first day, the perimeter of the basement had been dug up, concrete removed, and the walls sprayed with a mold

even asked one of his men to open a clogged gutter.

On the second day, the good-natured men returned to

new drainage gravel and tile. They then put down new cement and installed the sump pump. After everything was in place and working, they painted the basement walls with a mold killing paint.
It was hard to believe that they were done in less than two days. The men cleaned up after themselves and traces of debris were
taken out of the house. They wanted to leave the basement and steps clean for me.

The bracing looks sturdy. I'm confident that the wall they braced will no longer move inward, and may return to vertical over several years.

The work crew explained what they were doing, cleaned up after themselves, and were very pleasant. CMJ Engineering initially told me that the wall needed bracing, and recommended that Basement Doctor do the work. I would use both firms again.

It's one of the best companies that I have ever contracted services for. They actually were a tad more expensive than a few of the competitors, but the quality of service far exceeded the cost factor. I am an older type of person and I like the personal contact. They come right in. The guy hands a business card, he has letters of reference, and he shows his work. He gives you a call before the said time for services. He calls you personally afterward to ensure that the job has met the highest quality of services. They do more than what you contract for. For instance, we had a new drain channel put in. Part of that was because ours wasn't working and we had moisture in our basement wall. They cleaned our basement walls for free. They did it quickly. When I mentioned that there was some discoloration, they told me they would take care of that and they did. They could have just told me what to do and I would have done it. When I mentioned the problem, they fixed the problem and it wasn't a big deal. It didn't cost me anything extra. They were well together. In this kind of a job, they have to

hammer the whole basement floor. There was no mess. They did as they said. They blocked everything off. They vacuum cleaned everything up. They worked as a team. One person was new in the team so they said they actually weren't quite as quick as they normally were which I thought was quick enough. Everybody had a little role. That's how they didn't get in each other's way and they could move through the stairwell efficiently. The people just knew what they were doing. I had to hook up a pipe into my sum pump to increase the efficiency of drainage away from my house. My neighbor and I dug the trench. What we needed them to do was to supervise and make sure that the job was correct and most importantly the connection between the pipes was secure. The people that built the house only cut a hole in the pipe and didn't secure it with glue or any fittings. That might have been what people did in the old days. They felt that it was obviously not a good situation. For someone who doesn't know, I would have used a 90 degree angle because it looked more efficient and it made more sense to me. They explained that it needed a slow drainage area so it doesn't block up the area. They ensured that I did that. We talked about what my neighbor and I were going to do and they explained why and what we should do. They helped us with the design and they did the fittings. Their guy even helped to cover the ditch which we dug ourselves which was not part of the contract. They went above and beyond the work. They were very personable. Even though they were a tad more expensive, it was totally worth it. The other people didn't come in with the same professional presentation and they didn't have the same personal commitment. That made all the difference in the world. The quality of the job was excellent. I don't remember exactly how much I paid, but it was couple of hundred dollars more than the others. They were all more or less the same amount. His personal presentation indicated that he was professional in his job. He wasn't casual about his approach. He was very personal, very well organized, and very well presented. He had references in the neighborhood. He knew where I lived. He knew who my neighbors were. He could give me references that I could easily call and may even know the people. That required a little thought flow. He took the time to line up references, bring the references, and make personal phone calls. You knew that you were dealing with someone that has done this before, was in the business to stay, and had survived. I called him recently and even though the job was done last year, I wanted to ask him a couple of questions about drainage. He called me back immediately and he was just as personable as he was initially. His name was

. He was the one that came to my house.

They are so honest! This man worked himself out of a job. I had 3 estimates from 3 other companies saying I needed to have plastic installed in my crawlspace to prevent mold. These estimates ranged from $1,000 to $3,000 dollars. This man came out and actually crawled into the crawl space, which the other companies did not. He saw the plastic in our crawlspace and saw the grey spots. He asked me to grab a bottle of bleach and he sprayed the spots. He let me know we did not have mold and this would disappear in an hour. He said if we had mold he would give me an estimate, but this was not our problem. This man saved me so much time and money. These other companies were trying to take advantage of me and he was so helpful and honest.

It was a very positive experience. They gave me an accurate estimate and described what they would be doing in terms that I could understand. They came when they said they would, and did the work within the time frame that I was given. Both the person in charge - Mr.

Boeriu - and his team were very professional, easy to work with and took wonderful care of my quirky old house and the surrounding landscaping during the entire process.

A man came out and I thought they were very good and honest, but I decided on another company. The company I chose offered a more extensive, comprehensive service for what I wanted.
