I really enjoyed working with
and his expert crew. My 40x20 patio has been completely transformed.
specializes in decks and he really knows what he is doing. I like
's business model because he specializes in one thing, keeps the quality extremely high and only has two jobs on at a time. He was often on site supervising and helping out.
Liquid amber tree roots had destroyed my patio. I had
Stump removal come twice, but
still had to deal with the roots while digging the holes for the concrete piers.
I had a 48 inch drop from my sliding glass door to the neighbor fence, so
first constructed a 30 foot retaining wall to bring the grade up 24 inches. 10 Concrete piers had to be poured to support the frame. The deck was built up to the same level as my sliding glass door for the outdoor living room effect. The setback area was left at the new grade level.
For this project, my
required all necessary permits. Because the proposed deck was larger than 200 square feet a permit was required.
was willing to work with the City of
Planning Dept where 4-5 other contractors either outright refused to work with CofPA or added more cost than
did. I really appreciate
's efforts because the City of
didn't have its act together and kept changing their story when it came to how much setback was required.
hung in there, stayed calm and made it happen despite the fact that CofPA wasted his time and his crew's time.
The cost was reasonable. I added some extras like high end composite, picture framing and redwood privacy lattice.
When issues came up
had good solutions for them. On a couple of items I wanted things done differently and he was easy to work with.
The quality of workmanship is extremely high. The job required three inspections - one for the concrete piers, one for the framing and one for the completed deck. I was present for the first one. The city inspector said that the work looked great and that it was his easiest inspection all day with no followup required. Again, the City of
wasted
's time because their online inspection scheduling system didn't work properly and
and his crew wasted an entire morning waiting for them to show up. As far as workmanship is concerned I can find no flaw whatsoever and the deck looks beautiful.
On completion,
and his crew cleaned up really well. I've gotten a lot of compliments on my new deck from friends and neighbors and I love spending time out there now. I recommend
very highly.

Not so well. He was recommended by Hawaiian Pools, our pool company and had a good rating on Angie's list.
did not disclose that the stone people were subcontractors and he did not supervise them well. His Angie's list information says that he has employees which he confirmed to us is true we guess but it does not mention that he also uses subcontractors nor did he tell us that he was hiring subcontractors to work on our pool deck. When we showed him some stones that were cut poorly, he said he would replace them. One end of the pool deck was sloped too much & he said that he would fix it. It is still sloped too much to put a table on. There is a noticeable hump near the center of one side of the pool where too much mortar was used. We noticed it later. When we showed him the problem he laughed it off & said "you want me to redo the area?" To make matters even worse, we lost an entire cherry tree near the patio. And, we noticed that the left over travertine stone was missing from where it had been & when he asked him about it he told us that he took to his garage! We have emailed him and left him messages but he is now ignoring us. His Angie's list information said that seniors get a 5% discount - but he did not give it to us. It also says that he takes credit cards but when we tried to give him one he did not want to take it, said he did not have his credit card machine, & said he was losing $ on our job. He was $5,000 more than the stone company who would have taken up the entire pool concrete, not just resurface it & who did jobs for 2 of our friends, (including our neighbor) that we should have used. But since he was recommended by the pool company & he assured us that he would do a good job we chose to go with him even though he was higher. He also charged us more for the paver stones for even though they were in the proposal because he said that we chose more expensive paver stones. The stone company included taking up the entire pool deck, not just the bad areas and included the exact paver stones in their lower cost proposal. We were definitely taken advantage of and we got a lousy job to boot.

this company was very responsive to telephone calls and questions. After getting two other bids, we decided to go with
Wooster Deck Builders Provider Name Locked
because we were more impressed with his knowledge. We contracted for the job in June, but
Wooster Deck Builders Provider Name Locked
was very honest and said that he would not be able to start the job until early August and once he began, it would take 5 days.
Wooster Deck Builders Provider Name Locked
started when he said he would and he was a true professional. He and his son work efficiently, constantly and diligently. The job was completed in 5 days and they cleaned up the entire site. It was such a wonderful experience to have a competent, polite and nice expert at the house. I have no hesitation at all to recommending this company..

provided an excellent estimate and service! He responded to my initial inquiry very quickly and after a few email exchanges was able to provide me with a good, informative estimate for me deck replacement project. We discussed several material options and price packages for my consideration. He was always very prompt and thorough in returning my emails and answering my questions as I worked through my decision process for this project. His pricing was very competetive with the other estimates I received. Although I chose another company for the actual work, I would strongly recommend
Wooster Deck Builders Provider Name Locked
and his company to anyone planning this type of work.

and his workers were great throughout the building process. They created drawings and exact measurements of the proposed deck and worked with me while my picky

His crew tore down the existing deck and replaced it with a bigger and more supportive deck. This whole process took less than 3 days. I would highly recommend

to anyone looking for a new deck or deck repair. I am 100% satisfied with the quality work and service that they provided me.

This is perhaps the most difficult review that I have ever done. The first visit from
Wooster Deck Builders Provider Name Locked
(project manager) was excellent. He came up with some really good ideas and gave a nice presentation. During the initial meeting, I told him that the most important factor in a contractor is open communication and doing what you say. He gave me every assurance that he would be in constant communication during the process and the whole project would be 5-7 days. After considering other options, we went with
Wooster Deck Builders Provider Name Locked
's bid. From there, things started to go south. First off, they team was one week late starting the project with no explanation. It was only after I called them that I found out that they were not coming on the promised date. I was told that they moved me because they did not get my deposit. I told the owner of the company that I was willing to pay 50% on the first day of work and 50% on the last day of the project, given its short duration. I told the owner that
Wooster Deck Builders Provider Name Locked
said that it was ok and "we would work it out," but I was told that the policy is that without a deposit, you don't get schedule. That would have been fine, if I was told that my initial proposal was not acceptable. So, we started a week late. Long story, short for the next two months, it was a constant black hole of communication. If I had not actively been reaching out to find out when the next sub-contractor was coming, I would not have known a single thing. Most of the work was pretty good. We did have some quality issues with the wood work around the hot tub, but for the most part, the end result was fair.

The initial meeting with
Wooster Deck Builders Provider Name Locked
went well. He noted that he had worked in our area consistently for a couple of decades and gave comparable advice to other contractors that showed up. We settled on him as the contractor and asked for a bid. It took over two weeks to get it, at which point he noted he had had some family issues. After we locked in on a price and date, we were in touch up until the week of the project, at which point neither he nor his crew contacted us or showed up. I haven't heard from him since. I also don't make it a practice to chase contractors to do paid work, so I haven't attempted to touch base since. Truly a shame, as I thought we had found a good fit for our project, but I've learned the hard way that lack of communication and follow-up with any contractor is a bad sign. Very disappointed.

Downsized recently. One of the things on the top of our list was to replace the existing deck, which was in pretty bad shape as a result of age and prior owner neglect. After many years of sanding and staining cedar decks we were interested in going maintenance free. We contacted KC Deck and Patio, who put us into contact with
Wooster Deck Builders Provider Name Locked
. We met with the sales agent (
Wooster Deck Builders Provider Name Locked
Hall) and he very patiently walked us through available material and build options.
We settled on a design and price, and were quoted an early September target for installation, with a commitment to try to improve on the date. We got a call a couple of days later, and were advised that the crew would be available to start immediately.
Build was done very professionally and expeditiously. The crew (

Wooster Deck Builders Provider Name Locked
and his crew, and would give them our highest recommendation.

I found Steadfast on Angie's List and hired them to screen in my back porch. The team did an excellent job, and I was very pleased. Fast forward 2 years later, an animal somehow made a huge hole in my porch screen overnight. Screen on one entire side of the porch was torn with a hold about 1 foot long and needed to be replaced.
I called Steadfast to see what they could do.
Wooster Deck Builders Provider Name Locked
, the general manager explained that they have a lifetime warrantee for materials but that did not cover 3rd party causes - like an animal damaging the screen. However, as a customer courtesy, he sent his repair team to replace the screen for NO CHARGE within 2 days! That is the type of outstanding company that Steadfast is - they stand behind their work and customer service is A#1. I would use them again in a heart beat!

Wooster Deck Builders Provider Name Locked
made this entire experience quite a positive one. We were provided with answers to all of our questions and great suggestions as well. Everyone with whom we interacted made this an outstanding experience..one of the best we have ever had with any home improvement job we have done over the past 40 yrs of homeownership (multiple homes in multiple states). First, their pricing was very competitive, materials were top notch and delivered exactly when promised. Work commenced when scheduled. The gentlemen who did the construction were a pure pleasure to have at our home. They could not be more polite or personable...and they worked--showed up early in the morning and worked in exceptionally hot weather ---- putting in a very full day. The job was completed within the promised time frame with perfect results. I highly recommend
Wooster Deck Builders Provider Name Locked
.. I know if you give them a try and make yourself clear, they will provide you with a top notch product at a reasonable price. No reason to worries when dealing with this company--NONE at all! I will not hesitate to use
