Parma Roofing Contractors Reviews
I got 6 estimates before I chose this contractor. My decision was made not only on the price, but some the of the other companies treated me like a stupid woman that I wouldn't question the price or materials they quoted. One company came and didn't even walk around my house or attempt to measure it. He wrote the estimate up in 10 minutes for $6300 the highest one I got. When I questioned the venting he quoted for my roof, his response was that I shouldn't worry about it, he new what he was doing.
I can't say enough about doing your homework before signing a contract on any repair work.
I have referred this contractor to my family, friends, neighbors and co-workers.
We picked our siding color and decided to pay a little more to have our awnings, gutters and downspouts painted as well. We also decided to have an old bathroom window replaced and a door in a bedroom converted to a window.
So, at the end of 01/2013, everything was set to begin 02/04/13. Most of the siding was done that week. Because of the type/size of the windows ordered, they would not be able to complete that portion until the end of 02/2013. The awnings were picked up and were were told they would be painted and put back up once the weather cleared up. Windows were installed an dthe installer was sloppy. He left three spots of caulking on our floor(s) which I had to clean up. Foir one side of a window boarder, he cut two seperate pieces and put them together instead of going and buying a new piece to use. It is a lazy and low-quality way out. Also, he left the drywall unsanded! Real professional.
Towards the end of that month, our project manager was also changed for uncontrollable reasons, which was very understandable. Problem there was that I had not been informed until weeks later when the old project manager let me know it was changed to
I emailed him a few times without response. Things just went downhill from there. The porch light was installed crooked, the siding had a few issues (even after a check was done on it by Mr.
On we went... An electrition was sent out at the end of 03/13
Over a week into 04/13, the company never contacted me about the remaining work, so I emailed my list of work yet to be done (gutters/downspouts/porch light/roof), begging for response, as I wanted to get this done with. The owner replied and gave me dates within the next week for completion. The siding guy (same as window guy) damaged all the gutters, so new ones needed to be ordered. They were installed mid 04/13. We decided not to paint the gutters or downspouts, since they looked good, but had some other areas needing painting.
Into 05/13...The painter cancelled on us three times within a week and no contacts were coming from
06/21/13...Awnings were finally put on the house. Unfortunately, they were in the wrong spots! When I contacted the owner, he accused my wife of being the one directing the contractors were to put them. Again, the unprofessionalism was shining through and of course, my wife never went out there with our child to direct them on the awnings. (side note: I would think they would have measured and labeled them to avoid this issue, no??). On top of that, the facia on one side was hanging off the house and some siding touch-ups were still needed.
A few days later my insurance company called and inquired about a new claim for $1500.00 for awnings. They previously approved some funds for that which had already been paid to
A couple dates were promised and missed for the remaninig issues. This went into Mid-
Their office called while the guys were finishing the remaining items asking if someone could hand the guys payment outside before they leave. No one was home, so I told them I would mail it in. I wanted to look it over anyway since I knew it would be pulling teeth to get anything done again, before mailing it.
When I got home I found my flower-bed boarder run over and smashed into the ground and a wedding gift ran over and cracked. Of course, no one apologized, of even acknowledged this. Even after letting them know, not even a "hey, sorry about that..." Maybe 6-7 days went by and their rep called and emailed in
