After we staked the firewood we realized there's only a cord and a half. Typically we can find ads in the local paper that sell seasoned firewood for 230.00 dollars but some of these sellers are known to be cheats. We wanted 2 cords of seasoned firewood and 675 dollars delivered seemed like a lot but we were told this was a professional operation. Three days after the wood was delivered we called and got a voicemail box and we explained the problem.
returned our call but left no message and he hasn't called since. We called with four different times and left messages saying we just want to correct this and giving the benefit of doubt that there could have been a mistake on his part.
is a cheat and a liar it's as plain as that. Had I gotten a receipt we would take him to small claims court but that's our loss now. There's no way to know how much wood that's been dumped in a pile until it's staked so he's able to short people and get out before there's time to find out you've been had.

We purchased firewood from
before with no issue. Today, we had two rics of wood delivered. When my husband got the wood loaded into our ric rack (which is 4ft x 8ft), we were shorted about a quarter of a ric. We called to let them know and they were very unprofessional over the phone. We never raised our voice to them, or were accusatory in any way. There was a man yelling in the background about how we were wrong, and how he was so offended and then the woman on the phone said that they never make a mistake, there's nothing they would do for us, and they hung up. I was in shock! I thought they would at the very least send someone out to look at the ric and deliver more wood. We called back and they did not pick up the phone. We left a message, but got no response.

I called
Oregon Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
and spoke with
Oregon Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
based on his listing on Craigslist. He called back the same day (a Saturday) and asked how I had heard about him. I told him that I saw his listing and that I was an Angie's List member. We scheduled a delivery date and when his delivery driver was running late,
Oregon Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
sent a text to inform me of the delay. His driver stacked the wood neatly and was very polite. However, due to the wet ground, he was not able to drive his truck back to my shed. While I would have preferred to have the wood delivered to the shed, I did understand the concern about driving over my grass. I will definitely use
Oregon Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
again and will try and schedule the delivery when the ground is either dry or frozen.

We used
Oregon Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
/
Oregon Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
twice a year for many years -- each Spring for landscaping cleanup, edging, and putting down mulch, and each Fall for blacktopping the driveway. We always paid him promptly as his crew was leaving. We mistakenly thought we had good rapport and a business relationship based on trust. However, in late Spring of 2013, despite walking our property with
Oregon Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
and the senior member of his crew to make sure everyone understood what was needed, approximately $1000 of our ground cover was ripped out and thrown away. We called
Oregon Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
and he returned 2 days later, expressing his shock and acknowledging this huge error. He offered a free blacktopping that Fall and a free cleanup in Spring, 2014. Because we used him for almost 10 years, we asked if we could trust him and agreed upon this settlement. He assured us his word was good and we shook hands on it. We began calling
Oregon Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
in early April of this year to try to get on his schedule and have been continuing to call throughout the Summer. He responded once and indicated he would honor PART of his promise. Since the beginning of June, however, we cannot get him to return our calls. We have even seen his truck down the street with his son working on one of our neighbor's house. We spoke with him and he said he would talk with his father. Despite calling him several times a week for 4 months, he has not returned our calls or honored either of his promises. BOTTOM LINE,
Oregon Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
HAS NEVER CALLED US BACK AND HAS NEVER RETURNED TO HONOR HIS WORD!
If you are looking for honesty and reliability, and someone who will show up in a timely manner, this is not a person you should be calling for landscaping or other services. And if professionalism is something you value for gardening needs, hire someone who knows the difference between weeds and ground cover.

It was hot and humid.
Oregon Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
arrived on time and delivered and stacked the firewood to the location I asked him to. When he was finished he swept up the wood splinters and left no evidence behind.
I will definitely call

the next time I need firewood.

Good. Came out on time and completed on time. Noticed a couple of issues with the job and came out with 3 business days to remedy the problems. The issues were that one of the edges of the patio had to be sealed to prevent erosion of the sand beneath the patio. This was a unique issue because of the grade of a handicap accessible ramp adjacent to the patio.

I called this morning to check on price & availability of seasoned delivered firewood. I spoke with Virginia, who told me she had mixed hardwood that had been seasoned for 9 months and she would have it delivered. I said fine and she said she could deliver it today. It arrived on time, was properly sized, split & seasoned. It was stacked in my crib on my driveway. It was a pickup load that came out to be 1/2 cord, which is what I wanted. I will do business with her in the future.

was a "knock on the door, we're in the area, do you want something done?" He obviously knew his stuff about the trees, and he had the heavy equipment right there, and the price was right for what I wanted done. I researched the company beforehand, and there were no adverse bbb reports.
He got to work right away after agreeing to a price. I didn't watch it all but I think he had 2 or maybe 3 people doing the trimming work. To my inexperienced eye, they trimmed the trees very well. The dead wood was all gone, and he removed some lower branches that were making lawn-mowing difficult, and made sure that the branches were no longer overhanging the roof. For the largest tree, we discussed beforehand which large branches he would remove. After he started, he called me over and suggested he trim another large branch, to which I agreed. In the end, the tree looks great.
For the 2 trees that he totally removed, he ground out the stumps. He left quite a large mound of mostly sand and some soft wood pieces behind. He did tell me ahead of time that there would be a large mound afterward, but it was larger than I expected. He suggested I use it for compost, but I chose to use it to spread around some bare spots in the back yard as a base for patching the grass.

These folks were friendly and courteous, but there were two problems in our dealings with them. We wanted to buy two cords of firewood and there was no place where we could go to see the wood we were buying before it was delivered. The other and bigger problem was that my wife and I are older folks and asked to have the wood stacked for us. We were certainly willing to pay for this additional service, but it was clear that this is a service they do not normally provide. It seemed like it would be somewhat of an imposition, even if Mr. and Mrs.
Oregon Firewood Providers Provider Name Locked
were willing to help us with the stacking. We worked out arrangements with another firewood supplier who delivered two cords this past weekend. His two employees had it stacked in 15 minutes and it did not seem like an imposition or unusual request. It seemed to work out better for everyone this way.
