Ophthalmology

Quite literally meaning "the science of the eyes." ophthalmology studies the way the eye works. Ophthalmologists care for this incredibly complex and delicate part of the body and the factors that affect its health.

A growing number of people are buying prescription glasses online. Some advice — and cautions —if you plan to browse frames and lenses sans the store.

Blurred or lost vision may be signs of a potential eye ailment, but some rare diseases that can cause blindness can only be detected with an examination.

Absolutely you have rights to your own medical records. You may have to put it in writing and go through the offices records department. Call and ask to speak with the records department and ask their protocol.

Although I did not get the exam here, I did take my prescription in to purchase glasses. The staff was great. I had numerous problems with the frames falling apart and they fixed them. when they broke again, they gave me the sample frame they had. Originally, I could not see out of the right eye and had to go back to where I had gotten the exam and the Doctor said the prism was too high in the right eye. They sent them back for adjustment, but I still could not see out of the right eye. They suggested I wear them for awhile and see. I have had constant headaches since and the right eye is still blurry. I will not go back.

In the past their work was fine. But I have changed insurance and the office has been so difficult about this that it has taken hours of attempted calls to them and to the vision insurance company and I still haven't been able to schedule an appointment. This is the worst office service I've ever had. I can't imagine how the place is staying in business if the communication by their office staff is so poor.

I think the man is a doctor. He doesn't just give you an eye exam. He talks about your lifestyle. He is really so thorough that I am very impressed. I have been seeing him for about 20 years now. Everyone at the practice is so professional that it's pleasure to go there.

This was my third time going into the clinic and had intended on buying the glasses I had tried on previously. I was originally quoted a price, when I went back in a few weeks later to purchase the glasses I was told a higher price. The front end girls were very rude and condescending when explaining why my insurance coverage was not available. Because I was still confused and upset I emailed through the website asking for clarification and stating what had happened. I was sent a reply stating there was "confusion" and told my discount through insurance would be available as of January, 2015.
Upon returning last Friday, January 16th I was told that I could not get the discount and went I explained how frustrating that was the girl helping me shrugged her shoulders. I told her I was going else where to purchase the glasses because I felt this was wrong and they should honor the discount under these circumstances. She told me she could "write down the style" of glasses for me to go purchase elsewhere. No apology.
I then decided to email the same woman back who told me I would be given the discount and explained the situation. She apologized and made excuses for why there was still "confusion". Point being they should have offered me the discount because o their errors but it's obvious that was never considered. There are MANY choices as consumers these days and we should spend our money where it matters and with companies that deserve it. I do not recommend

and hope you will think twice about trusting vision care with them. I feel the customer service there is poor and how they handle errors is bad business.

He's very good. He listened to the problems that I was having all around, in relation to the problem I was having with my eyes. He's very good and terrific to listen to, but very hard to get appointments with, because he's so well known.
