Veterinarian Reviews in Mentor

They are very nice, very punctual; etc. They are great. I spent $27 on the job. I had a good experience with them. They got me in and out quickly. I will use them again in the future.

The Veterinarian examined our
Opso, gave him shots as requested and required. We have taken him there numerous times since the initial appointment and were pleased with the results each time regardless of which Veterinarian examined him. The personnel are all very professional, courteous and friendly.

We would recommend the
to family, neighbors, friends, and strangers because it is a quality organization.

The overall quality of the hospital was good. It was very clean and the staff was very professional. The doctor was knowledgable and caring but the prices were quite high....higher than other local vets. If not for the fact that our dog had special needs, we would not have continued going there because of the cost. When they use the term "State of the Art" to describe anything, be prepared to pay big $$$

Excellent work, very informative as to what was needed for our 1 year approximately, puppy, dog. Stitches were removed and our rescued from the shelter is doing fine as we adjust to each other. We found him on petfinder.

I would give them an A plus. The skill of the vets there is great. They are very kind and supportive. They have reasonable rates. I will continue to take my animals to them in the future.

There are four vets, and every one of them I trust implicitly. They are really good! Our old dog had two knee surgeries and they were excellent. Their routine care is great. They love the animals and the office staff is very good!

My experience this year was typical of the many years of great service I have received from Dr.
Mentor Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and her staff. I was able to call and get an appointment within the week, evening hours to meet my needs. When we arrive there is just small wait before we are moved into an exam room. My pooch is taken to get his shots, nails clipped and blood work taken. The doctor comes in gets down on the dog's level, plays with him a bit to make him comfortable and does a nice exam keeping the dog at ease. The doctor asks pertinent questions and takes the time to answer all of my concerns. We don't feel rushed like we are just a number being processed. The staff is very friendly and helpful even if your pooch has a terrible accident in the waiting room. (I'm guessing they've dealt with every issue under the sun). You pay as you exit and they take care to make sure the pets don't have the opportunity to mix in the hallway. I am thankful my dog gets good care from people with generous hearts.

Professional staffing and very nice. Would do no treatment without giving a cost estimate FIRST, and when treatment plan changed, the new pricing was discussed first. No surprises.
All was very professional, very kind. Prices were lower than I expected and they explained their prices do go up after midnight. since they are an emergency clinic.

The staff knew we were coming and did not make us wait. Everyone involved-desk staff, aides and doctor were very kind and compassionate. Several days later we received a beautiful sympathy card with our pet's paw print . I also took a cat who was very ill there in the middle of the night and they kept him alive until I was able to take him to our regular vet. I would highly recommend this clinic.

I was referred to Doc Brown after having a bad experience with another veterinarian. We came to him with a 12 year old dog who had torn her ACL, yet had few other issues. Doc Brown spent more than 30 minutes with the dog providing a full, head to toe, examination. This was my dog's third vet (in her lifetime), and I had never seen someone more thorough or in tune to the dog.
The person who referred me said that Doc is all about the animal. I found him to be fully professional and scientific in his approach. He takes few excuses from the owner, and in a way (right or wrong) his approach makes it clear that he's all about what's best for the dog. He's plain spoken and forthright. Personally, this is what I was looking for. I do, however, understand that there are those people who may want to be coddled a bit -- Doc Brown is not likely your guy. (I will say, though, that the office staff is wonderful and are very nurturing of both people and animals ... ) If you're good with straight forward and a slightly skewed, dry sense of humor -- you've found the right place.
GIven the dog's age, he provided me with options regarding certain things through the years. For example, the dog had an issue with her liver which his initial testing couldn't pinpoint. He said he could keep going and try to get to the bottom of the issue -- with no guarantee of finding it -- or we could choose to treat the symptoms instead. He was open and honest about the cost of each option and left us to decide. We chose to treat the symptoms.... and the dog went on to live for two more years.
We asked him his advice about how we would know when it was time to put her to sleep. Although he made it clear it was our choice, he did provide thoughts and suggestions regarding quality of life -- again, focusing appropriately on the animal's needs.
This week, the dog took a turn for the worse and the time had come to say good-bye. We called the office, and made an appointment for the end of the day. We paid the day before so we would only have to focus on us and the dog day of. The entire staff (including Doc) were warm, friendly and understanding. My only issue is that there was another family who showed up to pick up their dog from surgery while we were waiting to have our dog prepped. I was emotional ... it would have been nice to sit in an exam room alone instead of having it be uncomfortable for all. A minor detail which I thought about later.
All in all, these are "animal lovers". I think what we were going through effected the staff as much as it effected us. When it comes time for us to get our next dog, we'll look forward to going back to Doc Brown and his staff again.
