Hilliard Concrete Repair Contractors Reviews

"Mortar was replace/built up and then the entire surface area was covered with asthetic outer

. Foundation is repaired and better looking than before. You cannot see the concrete blocks anymore due to the covering. Much improved and functional! Also, he cut and removed concrete spilled next to the sidewalk when the house was built. Grass would no longer grow in this spot. Looking green now!"
"Whoever answered the phone was great, very responsive, very friendly, very personable. She will talk to you and send someone out. They said they would pull the patio out and relay it. It would take 2-3 days. He had ideas for the water feature like waterfalls falling from the center and then on each end water falling into the gravel then returning. He said he would email me the proposal and I had to call them to remind them and the receptionist said she'd get on them then I received an email proposal and then they mailed it. It was the lowest proposal we got. He seemed very knowledgeable. He was young, maybe 30. He had some good ideas. I would have gone with him but we went with another company who did our bathroom and the patio."
"He was very impressive. He was very professionally dressed. He said they needed to redo base and the interior and relay. They are all ICPI certified installers. They would pull up the patio and get rid of the sand. They would check the gravel base. He said they would use polymeric sand within the base of the relayed brick because it hardens like concrete and roots can't grow through the pavers. Maintenance every 3 years. He would power wash the patio, remove the old sand, and put down more polymeric sand, wet it down, and sweep. He said he would put soldier brick along the outside of the brick. They pay close attention to detail. He said it would be done in 2 and a half to 3 days. 35 dollars per guy per hour and two year warranty on the work. He would have a estimate by wednesday which he did. He had ideas for the water feature and fire pit. He sent me a thank you card saying thank you for allowing me to come out and give you and estimate. It had a full folder thing that looked professional with information on his company. He called back 6 days later asking when he could come back out and then he called back again. I had a hard time telling him no. He was just so nice and professional. He didn't do the job but I was very impressed. It was a little expensive. He does landscaping and lawncare."
"He was the only one that wanted to install a drain to the down spout. He told us that our fire pit needs to be about 10 feet away from anything you care about. He said no money down and pay within 15 days of finishing. Guaranteed for a year. He doesn't take credit cards. He was punctual and professional. He did get back to me, he called twice to ask if we were ready to start. We decided to go with someone else. When he showed up he didn't look professional, he looked like he could use a good shave. "
"The concrete pad itself turned out okay, but they destroyed part of my yard while putting it in. When I contacted them, they said that I should have realized that there would be some damage to the yard and that they would not be responsible for any of it. I told them that I could understand the grass being flattened or some patches of grass missing, however I did not expect there to be deep ridges left in my yard (that are still visible six months after they were here). They again refused to do anything about the damage, and they even refused to drop drop off a bag of grass seed."
"The young men were very helpful. Explained things to my husband who was fascinated by the ability to do this. They cleaned up after them selves and always announced their comings and goings. They were polite and hard working. Never wasted time.Patient with our questions and even carried a rug out for us that we decided was too bad to go back in the area being fixed. Being seniors that was greatly appreciated. The walls turned out to be worse than we expected. It looks great now and we feel a lot safer. They were respectful of our neighbors property and answered their questions . Our homes are fairly close. We will never use anyone else. They treat you like family- can't ask for more.

Update as of 2/9/12:

Couldn't be better!!!
"After I couldn't get several others to even do an estimate, I had a new porch from these guys in about two weeks from the first call I made to them. They were fast professional, and did a great job. They also gave an estimate on a new driveway, which I will take them up on after saving up enough."
"My house was built in the 50's and added onto. Simplified version is when doing the work if they ran out of material they did not bother getting more, just finished it with other things. The cement patio and walk along back and side of house was cracked and leaning into the house. The grade of the yard goes into the house, so all the water flowed onto concrete, through cracks and into the basement. In the basement crawl space, part of the outside back wall was finished (partially) with brick and 1" x 4" wood to hold it in (original construction people must have run out of block). In another spot between old house and new basement the dirt was undermining the original cement slab (they did not backfill before building new wall for basement). Knowing that my big problem and thing I needed fix was to get the water to drain away from (not into basement) I started calling contractors. After talking with allot of contractors on phone and about 10 in person I got

over to estimate. Before him there was only one that I was even considering because no one was addressing all my problem (they seemed to be just bidding a job not finding a solution that would work).

came on time to bid. He listened to my problems and was the first one to come up with solutions that worked (and he knew why they would work). On a side note, I had my brother, a construction manager here for this estimate and he was very impressed with

's knowledge.
Hilliard Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
explained what he was thinking and dropped of an estimate within 2 days. His price was great. I say great because he was the only one that was actually going to fix my problem correctly. I was placed on their schedule and given a time estimate when they would start. They came as scheduled and where always on time. The entire crew was courteous, kind, caring, knowledgeable and thoughtful about what they where doing. They removed old concrete walks and patio. They dug a big hole and put in a foundation and block into the crawl space wall that was bad. They got into the area that had undermining (no easy task) and filled it to prevent undermining under the old slab. As the worked the demolition they cleaned up at the end of the day and made everything safe to live in. They then poured an exposed Aggregate patio and walk. I was initially going for just re-doing what was there because I was overwhelmed with it all.

helped me choose more that just concrete replacement. We changed the shape, added exposed Aggregate and finished it with a great sealant. I will recommend

to everyone. If you have a problem you will breath a sigh of relief when he is done. If you just want a beautiful cement job he will do it and do it right.
"They got me out of a lot of trouble, I had started it but they fixed my problems and finished it. They were very prompt. I had gotten two estimates,

was more expensive but were able to get it done faster so I hired them. They were very courteous. They did a very good job."
"Well, at first we were not exactly sure what we going to need, so we made a few calls about having a wooden ramp put in, but we had some trouble finding someone who seemed to be capable of doing a good job. We did however already know that we were definitely going to have our driveway torn out and widened, and a friend of mine had recommended

saying that they had done a nice job for them. When

came out to do the estimate, he explained that the handicapped ramp could also be done in concrete, and that he would give me some references to call about some ramps they had done previously. The references all had good things to say, and we felt the price was right, so we contracted

for the entire job. Their work was done in 5 days from start to finish, and they did a really nice job.
