repaired several wooden cabinets and bookshelves that had old termite damage and some water damage. Did an excellent job with the woodworking, the matching of stains. Made them look

new. Also, placed 4 older aluminum windows with new energy efficient vinyl windows. One again, an excellent job getting a match and with the installation.
Finally, I can't believe the job he did cleaning up - actually left things cleaner when he was done than before he started.

"They were here for a week, arrived on time every day and ready to work. I have to admit I was nervous about the work. We have a 100 yr. old house and I was afraid they would uncover all sorts of problems. We made a couple of changes during the course of the week and everything went smoothly. The end result -- I LOVE my kitchen! We were so pleased with their work they are here this week replacing the roof on our garage.

"The work was well done, and quickly, since we were having a wedding that summer. However, we later had a problem with mildew. At no cost to us, they have come back this month and totally stripped the deck. They covered it with a tarp for several weeks to assure that the wood is dry, and they are staining and sealing it this week. They always go above and beyond to satisfy their customers.

"The 1st part of the job started off fairly well. The basement was dried and the drywall was replaced and painted. Cleanup on that part of the job was another matter. He said that he would remove the mess left from painting. He did not. Before the drywall was replaced, I had covers over the light switches. They are gone now and were not replaced. The roof for my residence went okay. He said that he would repair a crack in the ceiling where there was some water damage. He just painted over it. The crack remains. The job at the house that I rent to my son was a disaster. A panel from the aluminum siding was taken, There were beer and liquor bottles strewn in the front and back yards, One of the worker's children

pictures all across one of the siding panels of my house. The inside paint job to the kitchen was sloppy and there were paint splatters left on the floor. The gutter spouts were not finished in a timely manner at all. The gutter was left hangin off the side of the house for at least 2 weeks - that was tacky. I advise anyone to make a partial payment for supplies, and the 2nd half of the payment only to be made when the job is completed to YOUR satisfaction. Once they have your money, they think the job is finished and won't finish the job. This company should be avoided like the plague. I say this for several reasons. Mr.
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
has 0 scruples when it comes to business. He offered the people in my neighborhood and surrounding areas to pay their $500 insurance deductible for work done. Then he'll come back and say that there are additional things that need to be fixed so that the customer has to come out of pocket for the additional repairs. Then he'll whine about he's losing money and you end up paying $500 anyway. For referrals he offers 10%, and then he renegs on that, too. He works very hard to gain your confidence and then makes sexual advances. (He is a married man posing as a divorcee) .Ladies - do not let this man into your house. You are not safe!
UPDATE: 9/7/12 - C & A Construction is no longer accredited by the BBB! After going through legally binding arbitration, This company did not comply with the agency's decision. Their rating is now F - REVOKED!

"Part 2 of the remodel went well. Despite the counter fabricator/installer running behind and my unexpected surgery (that messed with the schedule),
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was able to work me in and get the kitchen done. I couldn't be happier! He did such quality work and was so communicative during each step... I always knew what was happening. Thank you!"

"When the old door was removed, he found that the frame was steel and installed in a cinder block wall that had been roughly cut. the opening needed to be leveled and a metal bar added across the top to hold the cinderblock in place. He did that and added a more than fair amount to the bill for the additional work."

"We hired
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
on
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
4th to repair the damage that resulted from the hail and wind storm of May 25th. For 2 weeks the two 70 ft trees laid on the deck, sunroom and backyard waiting on
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
to cut down and remove. Not until Jul 20th did
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
offer a shingle selection for roof replacement.
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
finally finished the
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
deck repair on Aug 1. They began the roof replacement and sunroom rebuild on Sep 23rd. The insurance claim wasn't going to cover the entire cost of the sunroom replacement so we made a deal with
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
to offset the cost of the sunroom rebuild with the cost of some of the repair the insurance company paid for but we could do without or that my husband would repair himself. Once insurance checks started arriving
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
convinced us not to sign the agreement the mortgage compny required to establish account draws, to instead sign the checks over to them. During the work I repeatedly requested an itemized bill forthe scope of work, so I'd know how much out-of-pocket expense I'd incur from the sunroom rebuild. Not once did
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
provide such a breakdown. Not until I contacted the owner Mr.
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
to request a bill in
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
2012 did I receive an invoice for work accomplished backdated to
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
2011. After my request I received from
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
as their bill a an invoice with a toplince cost of $44,500 with amounts subtracted or added based on the insurance adjusters paid claim even though the insurance adjusters claim has a topline of $39,970. The $44,500 is not based on any documentation to substantiate their invoice. I've contacted
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
about the discrepancy but they refuse to adjust their invoice to reflect reality. My husband and I spent 1.5 hours on the phone with
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
reviewing his numbers and trying to convey where
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
is overcharging us by the amount of Profit and Overhead the insurance company has already paid them. They are attempting to be paid twice for the Profit and Overhead. Actually
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
admitted they were overpaid $4,532 of Profit and Overhead by the insurance company but stated their is no law requiring the repayment to the insurance company.
I corrected 3 transposed numbers above.
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
incorrectly lists
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
as our homeowners insurance. Our Homeowners insurance company is 21st Century, with Homesite Insurance Company of the Midwest as the underwriter.

"Though I was a tense, nervous wreck and my husband extremely exacting, things went well.
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was good at being calm and smoothing over difficult situations."

"We are VERY pleased with the work
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
did. He was very punctual and professional and he completed the job very quickly. He estimated it would take 2 days to complete but it took about 3. He did not charge extra for this though. He was VERY thorough and did a beautiful job on our bathroom. We are so pleased and will definitely use his again in the future. He is very fair and reasonable with his price and does excellent work. Our walls were not even, being a 100 year old house, but
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
did a fantastic job leveling everything. I had hand selected the tiles to use for the bathtub/shower walls and
Dayton Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
did exactly what I wanted with the design. We installed ceramic shelves in the walls too and he did an excellent job with this. We're VERY pleased and I highly recommend him.
