Drywall Repair And Installation Reviews in Dayton

I had to call to see when they were coming. My house was left with a big pile of dust. The work was nor done in a professional manner. They left my garage with trash. My furniture was full of dust. Cheap is not always better

was extremely prompt and professional and was early for our in home estimate. His estimate was about what we were expecting. He was up front about the work and how much
we would need and was able to provide mold resistant
for the bathroom.
delivery was on time and very professional as well.

Installation took less time than
originally scheduled and he came in under estimate. We were incredibly happy with the results. There were some issues with some detail work - the cutouts around outlet boxes were not very good and caused some issues when we went to install the outlets. There were a lot of places where we had to scrape or sand large chunks of
compound off the wall before painting. That said, for what we paid he and his crew did a fantastic job. If you are looking for precision, detailed
, this may not be your company. If you want a quick, professional, well done, reasonably priced dry wall job,
will get it done for you.

The only reason I gave him a B in "professionalism" is not really his fault - one member of his crew had incredibly bad
. So bad that I could smell it through the door to the basement as I walked by it. I was pregnant at the time and this caused me a lot of issues. Had I not been expecting, it would have been a minor annoyance.

Drywall Repair And Installation reviews in Dayton

Initially we thought the meeting went great. Even though
Dayton Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
was informed that the ceiling that needed repaired (from a roof leak) was plaster, he expressed CERTAINTY that is was drywall. Was a little surprised at how high the estimate was, even with
Dayton Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
providing the paint. We had him quote everything we were needing to have done, but told him upfront there may be things removed. We were in a hurry to get things done as well. He provided the quote same day (APR 29) & we let him know that we would discuss it & get back to him soon.
The next day (APR 30), we sent an email to find out when he could get started & that we for sure wanted him to do the drywall repair that we showed him the day before. In addition, clarification was needed on a price for painting the stairwell - if it was just to "patch paint" over the mess the previous tenants left or paint the entire stairwell.
The following day (MAY 01 - 8:40 AM), response was received on when he could start & when he would be finished. He also clarified that he believed that the stair well could be matched "close enough" and be finished with a quart of paint.
The same day (MAY 01 - 9:56 AM), I let
Dayton Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
know that we wanted to hire him to do drywall repair, & paint ceilings in 3 rooms & wanted him to give me a price on painting the entire stair well - not just patching the paint color that was there (because an off white & we do not paint our rentals with light colors - especially a frequently traveled stairwell) & we also mentioned working our arrangements to get him access to the property prior to his start date. Also, requested a price on what he would charge to pain the stairwell. It was also asked if since he was supplying the materials (like the paint) it that would remain at the property when he was finished (this is a rental & having extra paint for touch up later is handy). His estimate to us included cost of materials, so we figured if we were paying for it, it would stay. We also asked how he handles payments once the job was done... if he billed or we could meet up when finished for payment.
On May 02 - 11:38 AM,
Dayton Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
sent an email withdrawing his bid for work at our rental property. Literally 1 minute after getting his email, we responding asking "May I ask why?"... only to get no response.
All is good with with our project however - we found a SUPER GREAT GUY that did the job we hired
Dayton Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
to do, plus some for WAY LESS & he did an wonderful job & even went above & beyond when a problem came up. Oh... and the ceiling repair that
Dayton Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
said was DRYWALL, was in FACT plaster as he was informed by us when we met for the quote.

Well..let me say first I ONLY joined angies list to let other people know of our experience. First of all we paid to have the walls skimmed twice and the first time around they only did it once and only in spots. They do not deliver what you pay for. What they did was horrible. We called them back again , and still the work was horrible. The BBB has a A plus rating on them. How in the world they got that rating I have no idea. My husband spent hours in the kitchen trying to straighten out the mess they left us in. Finally we complained to who had told us of them. They in turn called the owner,
Dayton Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
, and he called and came out to look for himself. You have to remember this is after they had come back a couple times to correct the bad places and my husband had spent hours working on it , too. He saw lots of places where they should have done a better job and said they would be back to correct them. Well..after almost 3 weeks( no show or no call) we called
Dayton Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
back on the phone and he didn't even remember being out here to look at the work. So..he said he would send them out again. They came back and redid it again. First I need tell you they use no ladder, only stand on the floor and just slap it on whatever way it lands. They definitely aren't painters either. They put on such a thin coat we could see streaks of the plaster they put on right through the paint. The walls were gritty wherever you touched it. My husband painted the kitchen again and that helped a lot. They destroyed my oak baseboards with paint and plaster on them. Now I need to take them off myself and try to sand the paint off of them or get someone else in to replace the oak baseboards. I did take pictures but not at the beginning when we started calling them back. I do have some from about half way through though. Were the guys nice, yes they were and very personable. They are called constantly on the phone or one of the guys would go out and buy things for the next job when they should have been doing a better job here. Would I have them again...NO...not even if it was free. A job that was suppose to take a couple hours, a couple days actually tied up our kitchen for 7 weeks. The new backsplash had to be delayed until we could get it presentable. The work they did was actually seen by the saleman of the countertop company that was going to replace the countertop also. Their oppionion was the same as ours. If you hear of this company..RUN.....We have been in our house 46 years and have always had things done by outside people. I have to say this was the WORST company we have dealt with and they definitely aren't cheap.

Dayton Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
came from Middletown the day after I called for an estimate. I liked his assessment of the needed work. He had excellent ratings on Angie's List and his price was decent based on other work I had done by another contractor several years ago. I was not disappointed. He came on time several days later to do the work. He had to work quickly due to the drying time of the materials. He protected the flooring and erected a

to control the dust from required sanding. Clean up was satisfactory. My newly painted walls look great.

I contacted
Dayton Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
because of their good reviews on Angie's list, using the phone number provided in their profile. A man answered the phone "hello" and I had to state that I was tryingt reaach someone with
Dayton Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
and did I have the right number. I received a response of "yeah what do you need" ? EXTREAMLY unprofessional, however I gave him the benefit of the doubt and told him I needed an estimate for
Dayton Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
work in a bathroom remodel. again, I got a few brief (almost rude) questions about the project and then he told me they don't do anything like what I was descrbing, they only do repair work. I asked if he could refer me to anyone else that might be able to do my project and he said no and hung up. I would not contact this company ever again. VERY disappointed.

Bill was on time with the estimate and we scheduled the job.
Their workers showed up on time and started work promptly. When they found a problem with my ceiling they found a solution that we all could work with. They were very professional and neat. They did what was promised and more.
I would highly recommend them to anyone and when we need painting service again they will be the ones I call.
Thanks Team for all your hard work!!!!!

We are finishing our basement and scheduled an estimate appointment with
Dayton Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
for Sept 24 between 5:30 and 6:00pm. When no one showed up by 6:00pm, we called the number we were given and were told that the office had faild to text this particular guy about the appointment so he didn't remember it and wouldn't be able to make it out that night. After a cursory apology, he reschedule with us for the next day at the same time (5:30-6:00pm).
Again, no one arrived by 6:00 pm and we assumed they weren't coming. At 6:50 pm, we received a call from the
Dayton Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
office that someone was on their way over and they were "running a little behind." We told them at that point not to bother showing up.
- Elizabeth T.

Part 2 of the remodel went well. Despite the counter fabricator/installer running behind and my unexpected surgery (that messed with the schedule),
Dayton Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
was able to work me in and get the kitchen done. I couldn't be happier! He did such quality work and was so communicative during each step... I always knew what was happening. Thank you!
