representative was helpful and courteous on the phone when scheduling time for an estimate. They were out within the week to measure and give us" a bid. I drove out to the showroom (not necessary but allowed me to look at actual product) to look at sample railings.
answered all my questions and was very pleasant to work with. I asked if they could make the design within the railing taller.
said he thought they could, and made a couple of CAD drawings which he emailed to me that day. The changes were made without any additional charge.
was able to install the railings sooner than originally planned. They look great! Pleasant, knowledgeable, fairly priced, high quality work, prompt, quick to return calls/emails. In my experience,
stands out as a company with a great product and great customer service.

"Bill was very responsive and performed the work in a timely manner. He made a standard custom iron handrail for my front steps (3 steps). The handrail was a standard design with no" fancy additions. Bill came to the house and measured the steps and installed the handrail several days later. The quality of work was great and I would hire Bill again.

"Good As New, claimed that my fence along a retaining wall meant it was a second story fence. Reading the T&C's of the offer this is not at all how a second story fence is" described. Therefore they wanted to inflate the cost by $950. Attempts to discuss was unsuccessful as the only person they let the customer talk to is a phone agent, not the estimator, supervisor and/or owner. I did not use them to do the work due to this false pricing and poor customer service. My recommendation is to never use Good As New
. Look for a service provider with a better review record. Also when considering Big Deals from Angie's List be sure to research the reviews for that service provider since it is possible for companies with poor records to attempt to use Angie’s List Big Deals to generate business.

Wrought Iron reviews in Cleveland Heights

Product is nice and pretty much what we designed and contracted them to build. Initially we went to their "shop" to see designs which was basically a warehouse with a small office. We had already chosen a design from a book of designs that was the same book they had in their office. They were very friendly and allowed us to tour the whole warehouse and showed us some of the projects they were working on. We agreed to their proposal and we then gave them a deposit.
First step was to schedule removal and measurement of existing gate. We thought that was scheduled to happen right after we returned from a vacation as told to us by the sales representative. Upon calling to check after our return, we found that we were not on the schedule and that they would start in approximately a week. We also weren't made aware at that point we could be without a gate for 3-4 weeks.
Eventually they came and over a period of two weeks they installed the gate. The "automatic sensor" was forgotten but remedied in a few days. The gate is nice and appears to be of good quality.
We are now satisfied but have yet to see the actual sales- person "Shadi" at our property. (son of owner) who repeatedly said he would come by to oversee the work and inspect the completion. (Even today he scheduled between 2 and 3pm to pick up the balance we owed but after waiting all afternoon for him to come he ended up sending someone else at 6pm.)
They did provide us with a nice wrought iron automatic gate and we may consider hiring them to do some of our other projects.

They were easy to communicate and schedule with, clear about their pricing (no

costs), and the job went very well. The workers were punctual, professional, thorough, and skilled. After they moved the gate, they realized that (due to the inconsistencies in the exterior wall - no fault of theirs) the gate did not function (open, close, latch) as well as it did before. They took it upon themselves to cut and re-sodder a section of the wrought iron bars to fix this issue - and at no extra cost. They even offered to repaint the gate and exterior walls to camouflage the new iron work and the previous gate location (but we didn't have the right paint colors so they couldn't). This would have been at no extra cost also. We would definitely use them for future jobs.

I ordered the railing and bought the $500 powder coating which would, for 10 years, make this maintenance-free. It was installed after some weather delays and looked fabulous! And then it rained. Many spots where welding was had begun to rust. I counted 13 at first inspection. I called the salesman, who came out the next week to look at it, got back to me and said the powder coat had not gotten into some of the tiny spots, and that someone would come out, sand and prep the places and refinish the surface. At this point, more spots had developed and rusty water residue sat on the horizontal surfaces next to the little craters. I just happened to be walking by the door a couple weeks later and saw 2 of their people squirting plain old spray paint at the rusty spots (including the residue left from evaporation) I asked if any prep had happened - no. I thought this was a very shabby way of dealing with rust. They didn't even wipe it down, forget sanding. My concerns that the rust which was now simply covered with spray paint could continue to develop, eventually blistering through the

of spray paint. was answered with "what am I supposed to do?"The salesman said they would come out again and treat the areas (several that were missed and a few new ones) with a Rustoleum rust inhibiting spray and then repaint. I asked that the $500 for the powder coating be refunded as it had clearly failed (the woman who answers the phone had told me they had been having trouble with this supplier) and was told I had my choice of them fixing it or the refund. I chose them fixing it. I have no idea what it will look like come spring or what they will be willing to do

From the first time I spoke with
Cleveland Heights Wrought Iron Fence Provider Name Locked
, he was very professional, punctual and helpful. He convinced me that the entire staircase did not need to be rebuilt from the footing up. Rather, he was sure that only the top few rows of brick under the landing and the stairs needed to be replaced. He also suggested that, rather than replace the bricks under the steps with new bricks, he could use Belgian Blocks instead, which would be much sturdier than the bricks in the long run. He and his crew arrived when they said they would, and they worked until the job was done. They even worked in the rain, under a tarp that they attached to the front of the house. Additionally, he was able to save the original hand railing, which had rusted through on the bottom most post, by welding a new metal post onto it, sanding and repainting the entire rail. Finally, he suggested to me that for a small additional charge, he could also clean and repoint the brickwork in the rest of the stairway that hadn't needed replacement. We agreed, and now the entire thing looks brand new! He was available whenever we had a question, and there were no surprises. All in all, this was probably the best experience we have ever had with a contractor. We plan to use him again in the Spring to have our driveway repaved. AAA+!

was very responsive and friendly to deal with. His team showed up on time and work met all expectations for a fair price.

Scheduled a time for
Cleveland Heights Wrought Iron Fence Provider Name Locked
to come out and give us an estimate for the work. He showed up right on time and measured everything up. A couple of days later he emailed me the quote which we thought was a good price for the work we were asking to be done. He even had asked whether we would ever need to get large pieces of furniture out of our back door and down our back steps. When I said yes, he recommended that the main railing panel be removable so that with four bolts we could take it out. Fantastic idea! We paid 50% down which secured our place in their production process.
A few weeks later I got a call from their installers who said they were at our house ready to do the install. Problem was that we lock our gates so they couldn't get in. I told them that had I known that they were going to be there on that day I would have either left the gate unlocked or worked from home. He said they don't normally tell homeowners when they go to do the install, which I still think is a bit weird.
Anyway, they were able to lift everything over the gate and the railings looks AMAZING! They are top quality and look so good. We only ever had pretty crappy chain link fence style railings before, so to now have custom-made iron ones is a real treat. I would definitely use

again and would recommend them to anyone else.

After an exchange of phone calls, we agreed that someone would come to the house at 9am on September 22nd to give me an estimate for the work needed (build and install some custom iron railings for our back step).
First, the guy showed up 40 minutes late (after calling at 9:20 to tell me he was going to be late). He then didn't even have the courtesy to knock on the front door, instead electing to head to the side gate. After opening the gate for him (we keep it locked) he didn't introduce himself and just said Hello and apologized for being late.
He took a few minutes taking measurements and then wrote up the quote and said if we wanted to go ahead we just needed to sign it and then return it.
The quote was a little higher than the company we ended up using (O'

Ornamental Iron), but it was mostly the way this guy acted that put me off. He had no customer skills whatsoever - maybe he isn't normally in the field dealing with customers?
