"In September, 2014 my wife and I decided to have an estate sale to sell the contents of my late mother-in-law's home. The three story house and garage had an enormous number of" items. The contents of the house were in disarray and disorganized. We engaged the services of
. a company name we obtained from Angie's List.
came in and cleaned out the unsalable items, organized and displayed the items that could be sold and then advertized and ran the sale. The turnout of buyers was substantial and they sold a great many of the items. The sale was by all accounts a success. We found this company to be hardworking, competent, trustworthy, efficient and friendly and they worked closely with us in deciding what to put up for sale and at what price. They also gave us valuable advice in running this type of sale. For anyone considering running an estate sale, my wife and I would highly recommend

"What would I have done without
!
and her staff are so professional and caring. Everyone understood that this was a very stressful time" for me and my husband and they were so caring and thoughtful before the move, during the move and after the move. My mother lived in an assisted living (which
has moved her into the year before). When my mother needed more personal care because of her dementia, I called
to assist me with this move. Dementia is one of those diseases that the person can be fine one day and then the next day they start doing things that can be harmful to them. That is what happened in my mother's case. My husband and I found a wonderful memory care facility to move my mother to - the only thing is that we needed to move in one afternoon so my mother would not know that she was having to move, which would have caused unneeded stress to her. I called
and explained the situation and she meet with me that day.
organized the move to occur the next afternoon.
went to the new apartment and worked with the staff there to ensure that the move would not stress the other residents. She then took measurements of the room and organized my mother's furniture so she could take some of her most treasured pieces.
and her staff handled everything - the move, the cleaning out of Mom's assisted apartment and the selling and donation of the reminder of the furniture, clothes and other items in the apartment.
knew how stressful this was for my husband and I and she took care of everything on this end. This was a stressful time and
took over this part of the decision making for me.
already knew where I liked to donate items because of the former move and she was excellent in suggesting other places that needed donations. When I saw my mother for the first time in the memory care facility and we went to her apartment, my mother said to me, "My apartment is just lovely. What wonderful person did all the decorating?" That was all I needed to hear and it just confirmed what a jewel
is.
also called me the next week to see how I was doing which I greatly appreciated. I would recommend
and her staff without any reservations. They do an excellent job with love and care. Their company is based on caring and not just on making a profit.

is the sweetest receptionist I have ever talked to. She explained their services patiently and clearly. The movers
and
" were very professional and efficient. The whole experience with
was very pleasant. They came on time and took very good care of our furniture with wrapping, blankets, and other moving equipment. They have earned my trust and their good reputation as well. I will definitely recommend
to anyone who needs a good quality moving company.

Antique collecting is one of the most popular leisure activities in the United States. Due to their intrinsic value, antiquated items are either collected for investment and profit-making purposes or as display pieces, prized as heirlooms.

A key to enjoy your art or antique collecting hobby is to find items that excite you as opposed to collecting for strictly financial upside, says Buxton. (Photo courtesy of Angie's List member Carol V. of Orlando, Fla.)

Hi, benterrific.

Keep checking around at the auction houses and antique dealers. There are a few in your area that are highly rated. The bigger auction houses should have qualified appraisers. You might also check with your local art museum or fine art gallery. Just like we recommend for big home repair projects, shop around to get the best price.

I found out the hard way in the military that it depends on the product. Some silver polishes will turn brass and copper black with instant tarnish and etch them, so check the label. Some types can be used for any soft metal, some not. I suspect it depends on the pH of the product, or whether it has aommonia in it. And of course if you do decide to try it, do the center bottom (where it sits on the table) first so you can see if it is causing problems.

Brasso is probably the top name in the industry - they make both liquid and treated cloth polishing products both for specific metals, and general polishing ones.

I would ask local antique shops and art stores (ones selling art and frames, not galleries) if they repair antiques, AND for references, so the repair does not decrease its value unecessarily. In many cases the old frame is worth more than the painting !

You could also ask local art museums who they use to repair/rehab frames, if they do not do it themselves.

Recently, the armoire became infested with dormant powder post beetles, and we could no longer use it. I wrote to the owner,

, and sent pictures of the damage. Despite the lapse in time, he refunded our money and picked up the armoire free of charge. Mr.

Held estate sale for my mother who passed away. They were very professional and did everything that I signed in the contract. The house was spotless after the sale and able to turn over to my realtor. I think Ms

and Mr

Overall, it went great! They brought a large crew both times (7-8 movers), all were very friendly and helpful and moved very quickly and efficiently. They were well trained and experienced moving crew. Most of the movers were involved in both moves. We had a fairly large amount of stuff, most of it was boxed ahead of time. What wasn't, they boxed it up for us. When we moved out, they sent two men back to take care of the trash, some large items, and dispose of it. They even swept out our garage. During the long storage time,
Broadview Heights Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
sent two men to Arhaus to pick up new furniture and add it to the storage "pile." It took them a day and a half to move out our stuff (there was an issue with one of their trucks, and we needed three truck loads. They moved everything back in in about 8 hours. Recognize that the movers had to pack trucks, then unpack them for storage. For the
Broadview Heights Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
1 move-in, they packed the trucks on June 30 to move them in the next day. I believe that if they simply moved them from one house to another (3 trucks), the cost would have been much, much lower. I strongly recommend them to anyone, and have who were equally satisfied with
Broadview Heights Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
. They know what they are doing and move very quickly, having fun along the way. The crew treats you like you are family, and your possessions like they are theirs.
Broadview Heights Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
quotes you a price up front (they are not on a clock looking for extra hours) and doesn't push you if it's beyond their estimated time.

The service my family received from
Broadview Heights Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
was awesome. If there was a word better than awesome, I would have used it. My family has had plenty of yard sales and we thought we were pretty good at it but compared to
Broadview Heights Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
we didn;t know anyhting. My deceased father had a collection of over 700 pocket knives and

researched each one to make sure the price was accurate and fair.
