and his crew are punctual, professional, knowledgable, courteous, and clean. I have had many homes and completely many remodels and worked with many contractors and subcontractors in many cities. I would put
Construction at the very top of my list.

It was a little bit hard scheduling the appointment at first, but that was because several jobs he had been working on grew and he needed to accommodate that. Once we had it scheduled, though, he was fantastic. Showed up on time, took care of everything we needed (and then some) with time to spare, was very nice and cleaned up after himself. I'm interested in repairing some of the walls in our basement and will be following up with him to get an estimate on that. Would definitely use him again for other house projects should they arise.

Home Remodeling reviews in Akron

We bought a Big Deal for 8 hours of general contractor work, and communicated entirely by email. Our house was built in the late 1920s, so the space for the refrigerator was small. We wanted to install a bigger one, so we needed to have the cabinets cut down, and we decided to replace the

hood with a built-in microwave to update the kitchen and give us more counter space. I sent
Akron Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
a picture of the existing configuration, and he said that they should be able to do what we wanted. They came on the appointed day, but old houses being what they are, it took longer than
Akron Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
had originally thought--but that was fine with us, since we got exactly what we wanted. An added wrinkle was that our cabinets are faux finished. I did the work myself close to 20 years ago, and I no longer have the technique or the paints to redo everything.

worked carefully to preserve as much of the finish as possible. The results are impressive. After we get the new fridge, we'll have them make us some new cabinets to install above the fridge, making use of some newfound extra space.

This project involved completely stripping an old bathroom down to the studs and building it back up again. Every fixture was removed from the ceiling to the floor tile. The tub, toilet, sink and vanity were all removed. The light fixtures, faucets, towel bars, and electrical outlets were all taken away. We soon discovered that much of the plumbing would need to be replaced, too. There was, however, nothing they discovered that surprised them or stymied them about how to proceed. They found iron pipes that were choked with sediment, indicating why water pressure and slow drains had been a problem. There was a six-inch

of concrete under the two layers of flooring. Probably the best feature of the project itself were the two men working in our home. They were more than courteous, adapted to any situation we had going on in the house, and very conscientious about making the project as easy on us as possible. The tile work on the floor and in the shower is beautiful. The wall finishes are exactly what we wanted. The water pressure is greatly improved, and they kept working on the drain problems until the sink basin now empties quickly. The fact that they were also able to anticipate problems that might arise speaks to their expertise. And one of the most impressive aspects of their work, for me, was their attitude toward my wife and me as the homeowners. They were never too busy to take a moment to answer a question, explain a possible problem, or communicate with us about a change in how they were doing the job. I had absolutely no hesitation about going out of town for a few days, leaving them in the house to finish the work. It has been great to have the project complete, but we do miss having them around!

Our front porch was the entire width of the front of our house. The roof over one part of it had been sagging. We contacted
Akron Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
& Renovations for an estimate on repairing the roof. Upon the inspection of the porch, it was determined that the porch was pulling away from the house and the footers had shifted to the right. We determined the best course of action was to remove the original porch and rebuild it from the ground up. We decided that we were no longer going to have the porch go the entire width of the house, but just in front of the front door. We discussed this with
Akron Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and provided them with a sketch of what we had in mind. I was concerned at first that the house would look odd without the full front porch. On the contrary.
Akron Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
& Renovations did an excellent job of making sure the new porch fit right in to the look of the house. Great care was taken by them to find aluminum siding that matched what the house already had. This took a great deal of effort, as that siding had been discontinued some time ago. The materials chosen for this job are top quality. We now have a very solid and beautiful front porch. We have neighbors and

's by compliment our porch and how beautiful it is. I am very glad we had this work done, but am especially glad we chose
Akron Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
& Renovations. They take pride in their work and treat the job as it is their own home they are working on. Everything was cleaned up at the end of each day - even making sure no nails were left anywhere for tires to find.

Recommended to me by a friend but I was left somewhat underwhelmed by the work done. At the time no one was living in the house, but the work area was not kept very clean/tidy. Tools and debris all over the floor each night when they left. Drywall mud was also dried onto the hardwood floors from being slung around. The drywall work done was only ok and on the final day was left for me to sand down and finish myself. They also used masking tape on the hardwood floors for a small sheet of plastic, but it was left for me to remove and was really difficult to get off. The knee wall was built about 1/2" too short and now requires me to trim underneath the island to close the gap under the counter top
Also the job was quoted as 3 days but ended up taking 6.5 and was not left very clean either. I was on a pretty tight schedule for the rest of the kitchen renovation and was frustrated by the extra project time. No final walk through either, on the last day he just left the key on the counter and left.
They were very professional and trustworthy, however. I was not worried about leaving them in the house alone each day, and he would call me anytime a question came up. Also seemed to have my best interest in mind with the design and made several changes that were for the better.
Overall, the price was very reasonable for the work performed, I just feel it was left a little unfinished towards the end and he began rushing based on how long over schedule he was running.

The job was supposed to take about 4 months it ended up being almost a year.

is a very nice guy but in our case he rarely kept his commitments. They used a sub contractor to dig the basement and pour the concrete and so far everything looks good there. They also used some Amish contractors to put the walls and the roof on, they completed this very quickly it took two days for them to finish, the crawlspace and the walls and roof took about two weeks to complete and I thought they were going to finish ahead of schedule. They also used a sub contractor to do the stone work on the front of the house and they did an excellent job and finished on time.

used the

crew to finish the rest of the house except for the electrical. We had to have another contractor come in and fix a few things that the sub didn't quite get right. We kept loosing power in other areas of the house when their electrical guy was working on the addition. Now everything is working fine. The tile in the basement came out okay, I wish they would have used the sub that did my last house, he was awesome. We had to get them to redo portions of the tile work in the bathroom since it was installed poorly. The faucets in the sink were installed such that you can't turn the hot water on all the way,
Akron Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
told me this was my fault. They also installed the faucet in the shower such that you can't get a room temperature shower you can only get warm or hot, I don't like hot showers in the summer time, the next time I need plumbing work done I will have a competent person fix this.

. The had two other guys that worked together that did the tile, some of the siding and dry walling. The drywall work in the bathroom was not very good, my wife had to re-texture some areas because they were completely smooth. We also had to get them to redo small portions of it because the fit and finish were very poor.

tried to charge me an extra thousand dollars because he had difficulty locating the outside siding to match, I told him no.

installed the siding in our entry way and it is holding up very well and looks like it was professionally installed. The siding on the front of the house and the side of the house has already come loose and one of the aluminum pieces came loose two weeks ago and started flapping in the wind and almost broke one of the windows. I called the owner and his customer service skills were not very good. He tried to blame the problem on the weather, I told him I would call a competent contractor to come out and fix it and send him the bill. One of their guys came out to look at it and suggested we glue the siding to the plywood, that was when we decided to have a professional siding company come and and fix it. They just left here a few minutes ago and they said it was installed improperly and suggested we call
Akron Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
to com out and install it correctly, we asked him to quote it any wany and we awarded the job to him to fix the sloppy work that
Akron Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
had done. I believe the reason it took so long for
Akron Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
to finish the job was that they were building a house in Seven Hills and we took second fiddle to that job. Needless to say we were not happy with

and could not recommend them.

Company came over, looked at the bathroom and kept pushing and pushing that we should just remodel our whole bathroom, rather than just the tile on our bath/shower surround. At the end there was this really strange questionnaire which felt like a job interview. It was just over the top ("what do you look for in a contractor", etc.) with the questions and came off as really awkward. The guy who came out told me that he would email me the quote "after reviewing what needed to be done". I never signed anything (thankfully) and then he never emailed me. I wasn't going to follow up with it because I know the price was going to be MUCH higher than we budgeted for a modest remodel in our tub area.

I am a recently new home owner and had a dated kitchen (1950's) Shopped different contractors to find the best quote for the job.

's proposal beat out the other contractors by far. He came out and met multiple times before the start of the project and was very organized. He was very flexible with my schedule (as I work in the evenings). He introduced me to his workers that would be helping him on the kitchen before they even started. His employees displayed professionalism throughout the duration of the project and constantly kept me updated and informed on the progress of the renovation.

was easy to get in touch with at all times of the day and addressed any issues himself personally. He was not always there himself but inspected his employees work at the end of each stage of the project. He made valueable suggestions on areas of construction and renovation that I am not familiar with and let me make the ultimate decision instead of just doing as he saw fit. He finished the project in a timely manner and the final bill was not a penny more than his original proposal. He is hardworking and passionate about his business and I would recommend him and his employees to anyone I know.

tOur initial get-together for an extimate was delayed twice by
Akron Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
request. Nevertheless we got together,
Akron Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
looked at the job and promised a written estimate in 5 to 6 days. That was two weeks ago. No phone calls, e-mails, nothing. Our feelings are that if he didnt want the job just say so (c ould have just claimed he was too busy) and we would have moved on. Now with the holidays upon us the work will be delayed till the new year. We are unhappy with
