Concrete Repair Reviews in Akron

I left a message with
over the weekend based on Angie's list and other reviews I had seen,
returned my call promptly on Monday morning. We discussed the best time to perform an estimate and agree on Wednesday evening at 5:45. We waited at the site until 6:15 and then returned home. Numerous calls and email went unanswered. The next morning I called and found that the crew had gotten stuck in rain, they did not call because their phone was in the car. I suggested Thursday evening but he was unavailable because of family sports event, I suggested Friday evening, but again he was unavailable because of camping trip. I suggested he just go to the site at his convenience, but was told he likes the customer on site for questions and such.
suggested Sunday afternoon, I asked him to email so we could set it up but received no email. I believe I gave
ample opportunity to provide a bid and most likely secure the job. I had high expectations based on the reviews, so I'm very disappointed.

Always takes longer than expected especially on a big job like this one. Changes always are requested. Job started in early November, finished on December 30, 2014. Replanting of front yard will have to wait till Spring. Original bid was $29,500. Final cost was $36,654. We added several projects to original job, and we feel the additional charges and time frame were fair.
We were impressed with
for what he was willing to do. He was the only contractor, even among the contractors your website recommended, who would take on our garage floor and driveway lowering project. He owns a similar house with a similarly steep drive and it was evident he took a personal interest in our job because he planned to do the same for himself.
His crew were timely, polite, competent. His work yard is located at the north
of Akron, and that made for quick and frequent oversight at our address, only a couple of miles away.
We would recommend him for any concrete or foundation work, and for any of the followup carpentry and electrical work needed.
worked for a major commercial firm before starting his own business, and has experience rebuilding foundations for some of the older landmark buildings on the
State campus.

Concrete Repair reviews in Akron

I am a recently new home owner and had a dated kitchen (1950's) Shopped different contractors to find the best quote for the job.

's proposal beat out the other contractors by far. He came out and met multiple times before the start of the project and was very organized. He was very flexible with my schedule (as I work in the evenings). He introduced me to his workers that would be helping him on the kitchen before they even started. His employees displayed professionalism throughout the duration of the project and constantly kept me updated and informed on the progress of the renovation.

was easy to get in touch with at all times of the day and addressed any issues himself personally. He was not always there himself but inspected his employees work at the end of each stage of the project. He made valueable suggestions on areas of construction and renovation that I am not familiar with and let me make the ultimate decision instead of just doing as he saw fit. He finished the project in a timely manner and the final bill was not a penny more than his original proposal. He is hardworking and passionate about his business and I would recommend him and his employees to anyone I know.

I had the slab replaced at the same time. The representatives who came out to the house were very nice. They were recommended to me by my daughter. They came out, did their stuff and worked out perfect. They are reliable and they are conscientious about the work they do. We matched the reps as much as we could rather than being a pure wait. I even took out like a ninety day loan and paid off in time with no problems. I was thinking of getting a fence and I did call them but when I was getting the prices for the fences, I thought it was not in our budget for sure.

Have used the D.A.

Company before for box gutter repairs and other home improvements, such as concrete patio, porch remodeling, rebuilding masonry raised brick attached beds in the front of house, concrete work, and general contracting. This particular problem required a lot of experience in following how water enters and travels. He did a lot of exploratory work inside the walls from both the outside and inside, and determined the cause of the problem, which was faulty precast concrete construction of capstones on all outside walls. His knowledge of concrete aggregates and compositions, general masonry, as well as copper flashing and clay tile roofing was very significant in solving the problems. This is on a one-of-a-kind house that was built in 1949, designed by well-known Akron architect,

figure out what the real problems were, but also came up with a plan to repair the problems while maintaining the architectural integrity of the original design. I have been extremely pleased with the work, and the craftsmanship and attention to detail is excellent. I have also been pleased with the professionalism of Mr.

and his crew. He maintained very good lines of communication as to materials purchases, projected timelines for completion of phases of the restoration, and assistance with insurance adjusters and engineers. He maintains an organized worksite, and his employees are considerate and respectful of the property and landscaping. The work will continue on other restoration and interior repair in 2011. I heartily recommend Mr.

He was very capable of doing this. He put in a drains. He did parallel drains. He took out the old patio and put on a new patio. He had pipes underground and took it out to the street. While we were there it did a good job. He showed up with the men. We asked him to change plans in the middle of the project and he was willing to do that. He even came back 2 or 3 weeks later. He works with the customer. He is trustworthy. The people that work for him are marvelous.

This included new stone, porch, walkway and included new stained glass windows, granite archway and new front door. He set up the entire project for a new roof (which took 10 days). We also had new gutters put on the house. There was a problem with one side of the gutters being too small, and he really kept up with the company until they made this change. He has his own workers and they are all excellent, precise craftsman. He allows no smoking on the grounds. If he finds cigarette butts on the ground, he charges his employees and makes them take off their shoes. When they put on the new roof, we were threatened by a bad a storm and if things weren't covered, it would have been a mess. They worked until midnight to get enough roofing on in order to cover the roof without any leaks. He was here everyday and the project took 8 months. Amazing!

Did a good job removing the cement but disappeared without installing the pad. Were scheduled to come out 6/22, 6/25, 7/2, and finally 7/6 but never showed. Left several messages that went unreturned. Finally, left a message asking for my deposit to be returned ($150) for the pad but no response.

They came out on schedule and had a crew on-site for three days. They were very polite about making adjustments in the contours of the walk and driveway. There were a few imperfections on the surface of the concrete, but overall did a very good job.

Called back three hours late after the meeting time, wanted directions again after giving him to him 4 hours before, didnt feel like I could trust.
