"She's very sweet! You're always in and out. I have been back twice already. I have a hard time finding dresses that fit because of my body type. I'm" also very picky when it comes to alterations. My grandmother was a seamstress so my mom and I can tell a good one from a bad one. A friend forwarded me
's information, I called to have a bridesmaid dress altered. The dress was way too big for me.
took the entire dress apart plus a hem on a trumpet style gown. The dress had a liner and this bra-type thing on the inside to keep it up since it was strapless. Once she was done, the dress fit like a glove. And it was only $70! A few weeks later, I had another dress hemmed ($30) and my mom brought a dress to her as well! She is my go-to from now on and will be recommending her to everyone! AMAZING!

"This location is amateur, I would not bring something complicated to them. I brought to them a strapless bridesmaid dress that was about 4-6 sizes too large on top." At the first pick up the dress was brought in on top but 1 side of the top billowed out and was asymmetric from the other side, as if they had taken in the right side more and the left side not enough. Cups were also sewn into my dress and this did look nice as the cups were
inside the 2 layers of the dress and could not be seen. The man/owner reassured me he would fix the side that was too loose. When I came back in to pick up the dress yesterday there was a LARGE very noticeable wrinkle below my chest. When I pointed this out the man said, "you had cups sewn in...I will cut...I will fix this." So I waited and when I tried on the dress again I saw he had removed the cups from within the dress and hastily sewed them to the inside of the dress so that now they were visible. This I did not mind but now there were lumps/bumps on the chest region, and I was told "this is the style" "this is how the dress is." Frustrated I acquised and took the dress home. When I tried it on again at home one of the cups had already come un-sewn and the large wrinkle was actually still there. I took the dress to another tailor to see if they could fix this large wrinkle and she said that the dress was taken in too much and that's why I was getting the wrinkle and it could not be let back out. I am very dissappointed with my service here, after paying $90 for tailoring I would expect a much higher level of service and quality.

One of the common complaints we see on Angie’s List in the alterations category is that clothes are not altered in time. Don’t wait until a week before school starts to get those clothes fitted properly because they might have a back to school rush. Keep in mind shops may also be busy this time of year with wedding alterations.

You would have to have a shoe repair shop evaluate them - some heels are hollow except at the tip so you might not be able to shorten them and retain the necessary strength - others are solid, so he would have to look at them. Might be able to just remove heel cap, cut down, and put heel cap back on.

Bear in mind that cutting the heels down will rock the shoe "backwards", so you will be walking on sole further back on the shoe - if the unthickened sole part betweenthe heel and the ball of the foot would be walked on because of this, you might have to pay him to add leather there to, which might mean resoling the entire shoe - could get pricey, if these are not worth hundreds of $.

As for evaluating a shoe repai place - only thing I can think is if these are pricey shoes, call store and see if they recommend a particular place. Otherwise Search Angies List for sheo repair places and reviews.

Clothing Alteration reviews in Watertown

It's hard finding a consistent tailor that's reasonably priced but you get what you pay for. I need a few jackets taken in at the waist and the sleeves shortened.
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
isn't very social just gets right to work with the measurements. It's also a dry cleaning place so that threw me off a little bit. It took about 5 days to get 2 jackets and 1 pair of pants fixed. The pants had a hole in the crotch and a a whole in the back. These were vintage
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
Brothers Black watch plaid pants that I found at a

Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
patched the pants but the hole wasn't fixed. It wasn't a very good job. The jackets fit pretty good but the sleeves were different lengths. One was shorter than the other which I hated and didn't have the time for him to fix. The price was only $60 per jacket for the service which is great, but going further I would rather pay a little more for better work. If you are looking for value then I would suggest
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
but if you need some work done for a special occasion or have an expensive item I would look for someone else.

August 28, 2015: I brought a small rug to be cleaned two weeks ago, August 11, 2015. They did not call me to let me know that my rug was ready. I dropped in yesterday, August 28, 2011 to check the progress of my rug. I gave them my ticket and they tried to give me someone else's dirty rug. (Dirt fell off of the rug onto the counter). I told them that that was not my rug. They looked for my rug for at least 20 minutes and could not find it. I asked them for my money back and the value of the rug. They also cleaned a

jacket. I had paid for the jacket and the rug. They gave me my money back for the cleaning price of the rug. I told them that I wanted $30 for the value of the rug. They refused. They also refused to give my receipt back so I had nothing to prove that I had been there at all. I left but I told them that I would be back.
August 29, 2015: I went back to the cleaners with my husband. They were a little more receptive. I had a picture of the rug because I have another one just like it at home. The woman at the desk said that she still did not know where my rug was. She said that I could fill out a claim. The manager came and found my rug. It was not clean so I left with it without further payment.

I went to the shop today to have my daughter's homecoming dress altered for next Saturday. We were met at the front door by a woman who was not happy to see us holding a formal dress. She said there was "no way" they could work on the dress and "didn't we see all the dresses hanging up that needed alterations" as if she should have known better than to ask. Clothes are in piles all over the floor in the cramped shop. When I asked if
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
was there she pointed to the next room where he was sitting. He never even came out to
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
us. Apparently if you have a couple of weeks to wait on your alterations, this is the place for you. Luckily we found someone else who told us there would be no problem with our deadline but they are going to press it for us too!

She was very efficient. Had me try on dress and pinned it. She worked with my short time line to make sure the dress would be ready in plenty of time. Got the dress back on time and it fit perfectly.

Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
is an excellent seamstress. She is very busy, however she had my articles of clothing done within two days! She hemmed 3 blouses and a pain of
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
. Two blouses were lace with a lining, very hard to do. The
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
had to be taken in all through the legs to tighten them, sounds easy but the

are stretchy material. She does exactly what, and how you tell her you want it done. Very pleased with her work. I don't mind driving several miles to get her expert services. Also, very reasonably priced!

I first found
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
on a well known website in which she described her alteration, sewing, custom work and interior design. We talked by phone first and I found her very agreeable and a type of personality I thought I could work with--boy was I right on!
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
came initially to solve the issues surrounding fitting affordable online canvas drapes in front of plantation shutters due to the beating sun in our ruthless desert conditions. Within short order she knew what she needed to do, explained it to me and then removed the drapes to take to her home to adjust and sew accordingly. She returned and climbed the ladder and re-installed the drapes which now hang wonderfully well! To think I almost gave up hope on them.
While here the first time I realized she could also help me with another problem--getting several pairs of women's slacks hemmed. I needed some for an upcoming trip and she had them (9 pairs) ready within a week. They were perfect!
Since I've seen what's possible with one challenging patio door's covering, I asked her to find the right material to complete the window treatment of another patio door, challenging in yet another way. To that end she has a good idea of what she needs to do, has bought the fabric and is sewing between my demands (and others) of her time with other pressing projects.
On a subsequent visit I asked her to help solve another problem. I have a lovely vintage quilt that we use on our CalKing bed but it leaves us fighting over every inch due to the historically smaller sizes of quilts generally. I asked her to use her imagination to create something along the lines of an extension all the way around 3 sides that would be similarly 'quilted' by machine lightly and sewn into the last seam of the existing quilt. She had just the idea of how to handle this 'flounce' for lack of a better word that will now give us greater utility of this heirloom piece without fighting so much.
Since I saw how well
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
could handle this (working with vintage textiles) and creates such products on her own, I felt she could easily manage finishing the quilting process of 2 children's quilts. That is, I purchased 2 quilt tops online (auction) that were begging for completion. I wasn't sure anyone locally could tackle something like this. Mostly I think of quilters back east, south, midwest or plains.
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
's got it all figured out and is completing them as I write. Another problem solved!
Without a doubt, the biggest and most challenging project I've asked her to help with is Organizing my Home! We are doing this working together but I don't know who I could have turned to with prior knowledge of whether I would easily get along with a stranger in my closet, for example like
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
! I gave her the basic parameters of not letting me off the hook. Since I've lost weight and don't want a 'safety' supply of clothes to fall back to I needed someone's help with action-oriented questions. She's a real pro this way too! So far, I've filled 2 large tubs for consignment stores (items still with tags that I couldn't find in that overstuffed
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
of a closet), and 6 lawn/trash black bags stuffed full for
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
store donation. She would ask, sort, fold, and those that remained 'survivors' of the process, she would carefully re-hang and position them by an organizational approach that she felt would work for me. Wow oh WOW. I felt like a million dollars watching those pieces of once-loved clothing march out my door for another
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
at life. I was never able to do this by myself, was too embarrassed to ask friends, and loving spouse was no help at all.
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
, however, was not stymied, in fact, she said she loves helping with Home Organization challenges.
So, with one thing leading to another, after we tackle belts, scarves, purses and shoes, we will turn to the always overstuffed Linen Closet, Coat Closet, and the formidable Kitchen Cabinets! I'm so glad I found
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
and that she's so easy to work with, trustworthy, and efficient! I highly recommend
Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
to you without reservation!

Watertown Tailors Provider Name Locked
did a great job. She has a small but busy shop on the main throughfare here in Cape Coral. Her shop is full of clothes so I suspect she keeps busy.
- Robert S.

it went very smoothly. The clothes were beautifully done. They looked brand new. I have had the coat for many years and have found that it is not easy to clean but they did a great job.
