I waited almost an hour to get called into a room. Then I waited another 20 minutes or so to see the doctor. He was pleasant enough, not very friendly. I did not connect with him on my first visit like I do with most of my other doctors. When I called back for more information I did get very good service from the receptionist and PA. I have tentatively set up surgery for May.

I am currently on my 10th day of recovery and can't believe how good I feel for the extensive surgery that Dr.
performed. From the moment I met with him, I knew he would be my surgeon but everyone close to me insisted that I get other opinions from Orthopedic Spine surgeons. Well all they did was scare me to death and I was unhappy that I had waited so long to get in to see them when I could have had my surgery sooner. All worked out for the best though. When I met with Dr.
a second time with more questions he answered honestly, with detail and genuine concern for my health. After surgery, he was just as attentive and compassionate as was his Physicians Assistant, Ed. I spent two nights in the hospital and he came in to see me both days. On the second day, (between his surgeries) I was so thrilled and overwhelmed at the relief I was already experiencing that tears came to my eyes. I thanked him, hugged him and said 'can I go home now?' The qualities that Dr.
posess can't be taught in school. You either have the depth of character and compassion within you or you don't. I am so thankful that his chosen profession and specialty could myself and so many other people. His staff is just as wonderful, attentive, professional, eager to help and answer your questions. If you need spine surgery, he is the only doctor you should consider.

was recommended by my Dr.,

Gazzini. I was able to make an appointment within a week of calling pending the mri being scheduled and performed within that timeframe. The office reception area was comfortable and professional as would be expected from a specialist. As stated above Dr.
Staten Island Neurosurgeons Provider Name Locked
was patient and put me at ease answering my questions and explaining the procedure in as much detail as I requested.Right before surgery Dr.

asked if I had any final request (sounds ominous doesn't it?) and knowing he is a Christian I asked him to pray for us and the procedure. I felt from the prayer he had prayed before (important for someone about to cut a 4" slit across the front of your throat!) and before I had taken 3 more breaths I was asleep. The next week I had problems (not going to get into that) and made an appointment to see Dr.

asap. He examined me and sent me back to the hospital to take care of the problem (the problem was not caused by his neglect).I have one more follow-up appointment before hopefully being done with this issue.

he was very personable, he explained everything, he answered all of my questions in a very respectful way, he didn't talk down to me. He was spot on, and the whole surgery thing, he was just a great mechanic. He did a great job on my surgery, and my neck is better than ever.

Overall my relationship and continued work with Dr
Staten Island Neurosurgeons Provider Name Locked
is excellent. He is confident and is not afraid to speak his mind about my case. He is definitely a leader and takes each case stand alone to evaluate the proposed actions. He will let you provide your input but I aphave also had him make definitive statements that were not under discussion where he felt strongly and I do trust him in that aspect. His staff are okay, I wouldn't say they are great or anything, and you really have to wrangle them especially if he notes something in your chart. For example physical therapy or x rays I have had to argue with them about orders he wrote that they claimed he didn't write and had to demand they pull my visit sheet and the guess what? All of a sudden I get a call for the X-

of transfers, no call backs, or call backs to tell you they aren't the right person for what you want ( when their receptionist is who transferred me). As of late Dr

seems to have made some attempts to improve his accessibility and his staff has gotten less negative. Even my internal medicine doctor told me she had difficulty getting in contact with his so its not just me.

Surgery was scheduled and on time, but the doctor I had been seeing, (whom I though was doing the surgery) The day of the surgery They rushed me in and put me under

so fast I could not even speak to anyone. After I woke, The staff was wonderful. I asked for my surgery report and found out there was 2 interns that did the surgery whom I had never met. I lost muscle tissue in my arm, and my speaking is different. They instantly referred my to a different doctor, who now wishes to go through the front of my neck with titanium plate. We were very impressed with him. He hasn't done the surgery yet. The office was very clean. The help was very knowledgeable and helpful. He seemed to be very attentive and listened to what my husband was talking about. He read the report and then he actually checked out my husband. He told us about the diagnosis. It took us a little long to get in but it was worth the wait. His punctuality wasn't any worse than any other doctor; I didn't think it was that bad. We haven’t gotten to the treatment yet. They took our co-pay right there.

I'm not writing this for me - but rather my 82 year old father. He'd had back problems for years. I attended all three appointments with him as well as the various tests that Dr.

wanted done before the procedure. Dr.
Staten Island Neurosurgeons Provider Name Locked
was honest, realistic & thorough. After all the testing he told us that he could help Dad. Dr.
Staten Island Neurosurgeons Provider Name Locked
was confident, but not cocky. I'm currently in my 50's and don't have any back issues but - if I ever do, I will seek out Dr.

. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I don't remember the exact procedure that was done on my dad...but it involved 3 different levels in the low back. The best part is that it SIGNIFICANTLY helped Dad.

He is competent and takes the time to explain things to me. He clearly knows what he is talking about. He anticipates what I am worrying about and will take all the time in the world to explain why he is doing a certain test and what it means. He told me some of the symptoms of a brain bleed and the fracture my son had. He is extremely thorough, extremely pleasant, careful and extremely accessible. He speaks to me in a language which I can understand and speaks to me as a thinking person. No question I ask him is too silly for him. He takes his time and flushes out the answers so that when I get off the phone I am not left wondering why I did not ask him a particular question. He returns my phone calls and is a doctor who cares.
