"Began with warmups, then transitioned to easier pieces, as i have not played in a while. Reviewed what i remembered and brought home a copy of the piece to practice on my own keyboard," but you don't have to bring home the notes if you don't have a piano, you simply practice at the lessons whilst you learn!

"Crystal has given me a good understanding of proper technique in both violin and mandolin as well as basic music theory. As she is a notable performer in many different musical genres," from Blue Grass to Baroque to improvisation, she provides a variety of musical opportunities during teaching sessions, which keeps the lessons both challenging and fun/ Crystal is also skilled at adapting her teaching method to the student's individual learning style.

"I hired this instructor as the Piano Teacher in a private school. Her students excelled. She provides them with the basic essentials for a strong foundation and takes them beyond." Last year one of her former students played in
Hall. I highly recommend this instructor!

She started out finding out what my son knows as far as music is concerned. She was pleasant and made my son feel very comfortable. Before the first practice was over he was already playing on the piano and loving it. She definitely knows how to spark the interest of the pupil. She seems very knowledgeable and excited about teaching. We received specific instructions on what books to buy and she offered to buy them for us to make sure my son didn't miss a beat. I highly recommend Miss

was very unpleasant about scheduling make up sessions. As it is her cancellation policy is unreasonablle. She bills once a month at beginning so if you need to cancel with less than 2 weeks notice too bad, you will pay. She also likes to remind you of the 400 students she has so don't ask too much of her because it is really a hassle. The billing situation completely works to her advantage, why fix it. I finally grew tired of the bad attitude and she obviously didnt need nor appreciated our business. I understand last minute canceling but knowing 2 weeks in advance is ridiculous. I payed too much money to be treated this way.
Our piano teacher quit after only a few months and was replaced. if teacher has to cancel session without consulting parent she replaces teacher with someone your child doesn't know to fill in no option offered to cancel and reschedule with child's teacher. I found dealing with her very unpleasant

is one of the the most patient and kind people I have had the pleasure of knowing. She is an incredibly gifted and talented music teacher. She has a warmth about her that makes one feel totally comfortable. The children just love her. I am so happy I found her.

We have a great teacher (
Schenectady Piano Lessons Provider Name Locked
) and the atmosphere is fun and joyful, and other kids--and older kids like me--share a waiting room while voice, guitar, drums or piano lessons go on in the surrounding rooms. Once in a playing room, though, the noise isn't heard. We are having a great time, and you only need to decide a month ahead if we're going to continue. I wish the prices were a bit less, as it might be hard to sustain in the long-term, but it is private lessons, so I understand.

Since we're competitors you should take everything I say with a grain of salt - I'm only repeating what my customers and teachers have told me. None of them would go back again. In fact, the mother of the girl who wanted to learn saxophone wrote a scathing review of the store on another web site (we are teaching her daughter how to play saxophone, and she in fact played it at her grandfather's memorial service recently).

Mr.
Schenectady Piano Lessons Provider Name Locked
has extraordinary talents and skill on the piano and he played for us for over two hours. His personality is warm and genuine, he readily accepted our requests, played with energy and style, and very kindly put up with our very average to low level of singing ability. (Our group is enthusiastic, not talented!) I would hire him again and again. Mr.

also is a skilled piano teacher and has been teaching all ages of students for years. Based on my impressions so far, I certainly would recommend him for piano lessons as well as performance.

I couldn't be more pleased. I found
Schenectady Piano Lessons Provider Name Locked
on Angie's List, placed an email that day and received both an email and a phone call within two hours. The company is quite interesting. Their instructors are highly skilled, teaching privately at homes and also early school-age kids in groups. I am somewhat unusual, as I have been playing the guitar for almost 50 years, had just purchased a high-end

guitar, but had not had a lesson in more than 40 years, and other than picking it up now and then, I thought I had lost a lot of what I once had, and was not pleased with the progress I was making on my own.
The instructor is timely, patient, humorous and knows when to push and when to slow down. We set some reasonable objectives. I wanted to re-learn some of the things I used to know (e.g., reading music) and to learn things that I never knew (or as a kid, didn't have the patience to learn) (e.g., finger picking, music theory). Along the way, I also wanted to learn some popular songs, old and new, to make sure that I was having fun and keeping myself interested. In four short weeks, i cannot believe how much we have accomplished. I have made demonstrable strides on each of my objectives and the instructor is keeping me on track. If I want to emphasize one area in any one week (as I did today with finger picking), he is entirely flexible and only allows me to beat myself up a little.
His approach is very positive. I cannot image a that I could have made a better choice. I remember my lessons as a kid. They were not at all comparable. This is the "A" standard! If only I had an instructor like this 50 years ago ...
