"
stayed for the day (my $299). He assessed that the existing plastering and painting was even more of disaster than I'd thought, showed" me why, and proceeded (with my approval) to scrape, repair and prep all four bathroom walls plus the ceiling. It was a beast of a project but he got it done in that first day. Day Two and Three were add-ons at $400 per day. But it took that long to properly finish the work in the bathroom.
came through to handle my outlet conversions. And when
was finished painting the bathroom, he swiftly moved through scraping, plastering and painting the other spots on my list. This including the removal of decades of paint from old steam pipes. I'm very pleased with the work done by
and the final results. Throughout the experience, they were on time, friendly, explained every step of what needed to happen... they were what we all hope for in hiring a contractor.

Putting the finishing touches on a remodeled room can be a challenge, but with a bit of practice and patience, your crown molding will look like a master carpenter put it up.

There are lots of occurrences that result in dry rot, though most have to do with proper water management in the home, says Lindus. (Photo courtesy of Angie's List member Donna B. of Portland, Oregon)

You need a general contractor - prefereably one who specializes in additions, because you have excavation, waterproofing, concrete, concrete cutting, carpentry, door and window, etc trades to coordinate.

The cost will depend a great deal on your topography around the house - if the base of the window will be above ground level at least 6 inches, then could run about $500 for a legal egress window purchase and about $1000-2000 for installation, depending on how deep into the concrete you have to cut.

If the bottom of the window will be below ground level, then to call it a bedroom (which mandates legal sized second egress and usauully at least one window)  then you will have two choices - bring it out into a solid watertight concrete storm cellar with collar to keep water out, stairs, and and weather and bug-tight cellar door that is inward-opening, which means a lot of space for stairs and landings top and bottom, or bring it out into an oversized window well at least 36 inches in diameter, and with steps to ground level, with adequate drainage and waterproofing to keep it dry. Either way, sometimes about as easy to put in an outside door as a window, and might raise property value more. Cost from $2-5,000 depending on how deep into concrete wall you have to dig, whether concrete wsall needs reinforcing with steel frame because of the depth of cut, how easy the digging is, and what your water conditions are near the foundation. The last thing you want to do is create an easy water or vermin ingress with your egress.

Dictated by Federal LAW , you will need a Licensed and EPA Certified HVAC Contractor

to make such repairs . In fact , by law , ONLY A licenesed HVAC contractor can buy or install

said eguipment , NOT A handyman nor general contractor !

YES , You should have an A.C. sleeve surrounding the through the wall unit . These sleeves will usually accompany NEW products , either as a package or an add on equipment purchase.

Contact a Licenesed PROFFESSIONAL at once !

?

It depends on what type of ramp you need. If it is built out of wood you could look for a carpenter or a deck company. If you are looking for a concrete ramp a mason would be what you are looking for. There are also metal ramps and I believe some medical supply companies may carry them or be able to steer you in the right direction. As for insurance coverage I am not sure. You may have coverage and would be best talking to your agent. Depending on why you need this ramp there may even be programs through your local government or even some of the local charities might help. It might be a project a local Scout Troop might help out on.

Saugerties General Contractors Provider Name Locked
did some interior painting and crown molding and did a decent job, so we hired him to paint the exterior of our home and replace some rotted wood. He never
Saugerties General Contractors Provider Name Locked
up a contract on the exterior job. He promised receipts for materials, but he never furnished any. He would never commit to a timetable of completion. He kept coming up with excuses for not showing up. He would show up for an hour, then leave. One of his helpers painted an area that looked like a two-year old did it. This two week job (tops) took 4 months to complete. When they were wrapping up, I had to point out they didn't finish some areas at all, which were glaringly obvious. I still have an unpainted window surround upstairs. The job looks amateurish. The whole experience was unprofessional. We remain astonished. He was a friend and an otherwise nice guy.

Everything was custom made. Their designs was exquisite. Their work was perfection. They were on time and on budget. Strangers will even stop by to comment on the appearance. I wished I would give them an A+. When I want to contact the company, every time I call there is always someone there to answer my questions or concerns. I never had to speak to a recording. It was a NIGHTMARE. Christian White showed up with 3 different tile guys. One time one of his tile men brought his girl friend with him. We specifically asked for very small grout lines. He assured us that they would be small. The FIRST time he installed the tile, the tile was crooked, tiles were sticking out. some grout lines were a half inch that narrowed down to a small line then expanded to a wide grout line. He did not follow code. The drain he installed was not even glued down. He claims the builder made a mistake, but it was Christian White who did not know what the building code was. It looked like a kindergarten child had built the shower. His men used our DOG"S water bucket to mix their adhesive in, did not clean out the bucket and then left it out so the dogs could get poisoned or sick from drinking out of it. They dumped polluted water in our flower beds. Left piles of trash on our patio. While cutting the tile with his wet saw, he covered our Bar-b-q grill, our windows and the whole patio in the wet dust for us to clean up. Did not show up on time. He would call and say that he would be at our house in 10 mins. Then call an hour later and say that he was at Home Depot. He was unprofessional and incompetent on our remodeling job. I called him up and told him not to return to my house until he heard from my attorney. My attorney has sent him numerous Demand letters and all have been returned. I do not know if the address he lists on his website and other websites like Angie's List are real. I have asked for all my money back for the incompetent and not up to code work that was slopped up in my house. I had to hire another contractor to rip out all the mess that they made. I would NEVER recommend

Art came to our home to see what we currently had, he listened and took detailed notes as to what we wanted. We gave him the exact measurements, color of paint and knobs and handles we wanted. What was delivered upon completion was exactly what we ordered. It actually exceeded our expectations in the quality of the work. Art

Excellent. No issues but want him to finish work and do other things. He cleaned out my gutters but failed to notice that metal chimney cover had never been placed over hole so cutting plastic to cover many holes and openings not authorized by electricians who did atrocious job and failed to do my electrical properly but took my money (will not pay anyone else again up front: they take the money and run while leaving

After the job was done, about two months later I noticed water coming out of the floor in the bathroom when I stepped on the tile. The water leak also ruined the molding between the tile bathroom floor and the wood laminate floor of the bedroom. I called our reliable handyman and he came out and diagnosed that the leak was being caused by the toilet, which had been installed wrong (a screw had been put in backward). He corrected the problem and prevented the water from spreading, but the damage to the molding and a few of the bathroom tiles was done, as they cracked from all the water damage. I called
Saugerties General Contractors Provider Name Locked
to rectify the issue and he told me he stood by his guys' work and would do the repair work for free. Instead of coming out himself he gave the job to another one of his employees (

Saugerties General Contractors Provider Name Locked
and left him a message, saying I'd lost all confidence in his business and just wanted a refund on the Big Deal, to partially offset the cost of the repairs. He never called me back. About a week after that
