"Excellent. Gentlemen who answer the phone are always very professional and courteous. They deliver the very next day. I've heard they will come the same day if needed.

-Donald S.

"horrible customer service. Called week in advance to get fuel delivery as we were getting low. said they would be out on specific date that week. we called every" day to make sure they were coming out as fuel was real low. kept saying yes they would be out. Came home late one night about 11pm with kids same day fuel was to be delivered. Saw that no fuel had been delivered and it was a cold winter night and we needed to take showers. Called the company same night, lady who answered (owners wife) was very very rude. She questioned our parenting because we were bringing our kids home late at night (we were at a hockey game in another city and they were high schoolers) told us we were out of luck and would have to wait till next business day ( it was either a friday or saturday night) . Husband was very angry with the lady's rudeness and told her she better send someone out right then and there to deliver fuel. She proceeded to tell him she wasn't going to and husband told her to check her info and she would see we had been calling every day to make sure they were delivering and was assured they would. She had spent the entire time arguing with my husband without even looking up our account information. Finally she got off her butt and went down and looked at account info and saw that we had been calling all week but they had us scheduled for the following week. The sales lady we had been dealing with all week failed to record the info. So after all the rudeness and her finally realizing we were right and she was wrong they sent someone out. We told her for her screw up and her rudeness she should reduce the bill or eat the cost since they only delivered a certain amount and said wed get the rest on scheduled date. we were hesitant to use the company in the first place because we had heard negative stuff but since we had moved here from a mother state we gave them the benefit of the doubt as sometimes customers get angry and say bad stuff when it is the customers fault. Guess the old customers were right. I have never been questioned about my parenting and cannot believe this woman did so. Just rude !!!!

Propane also has benefits as a home heating and home cooling material, as it is easily stored outside a home, and acts as an efficient refrigerant.

Propane Sales and Service

Propane is three-carbon alkane formed as a byproduct of natural gas processing and petroleum refining. Initially produced as a gas, it can be compressed to a lightweight, stable liquid for transport and storage.

Providers who deliver propane, such as Boye's Gas Service in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., are in great demand across the U.S., thanks to wicked winter weather. (Photo submitted by member Sue P.)

Propane Retailer reviews in Latham

When we bought our home last March, there was a gas log set in the fireplace. We called Palmetto and a sales woman came out and told us they would have to come out and set a time to install the tank and install the gas line. We paid them $358.71 and then fired up the log set and it didn't put out any heat. I called
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
, the sales woman, and told her it wasn't putting out any heat and she said they're made for looks and not for heat. (I spoke with my neighbor who has a wood burning fireplace and told them I wanted the propane tank removed and a refund on what was left in the tank because my fireplace is also able to use wood, and they said no problem.) I disconnected everything so they would just have to pick up the tank. They said they were busy with installations and it would be about 7-10 days before they could come. I called them again after about a month, and they said someone would come out that week. Another two weeks went by, and I called back and got a voicemail. I left them a voicemail requesting the refund again and asked them to come pick up the tank. Finally, a man came to pick up the tank. I helped him with it and I asked for a receipt for what was left in the tank and he said they don't give receipts and not to worry and the office would take care of the refund. Today I got a refund check in the mail which should have been about $180 for the refund and it was $92.88 instead because they charged $90 fee to pick up the tank. I feel I was completely misled by the sales person in what the fireplace would do and was totally ripped off.

Worst experience EVER DO NOT USE
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
was a good salesman, but unfortunately he only sells
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
. Lie number 1 - Our company takes pride in installing everything to code every time. While monitoring the technicians during the install I had the pleasure of watching them back fill a trench that had not a single point that was the required 18" in depth. Lie number 2 - We will show up with all the proper equipment to get the job done up to code. When I ask his technicians why they did not dig deep enough? They informed me that they did not bring a trencher and could not cut through the roots in my backyard. Lie number 3 - The signed contract. Although I signed and agreed to a contracted price and service, I was told that for the work to be completed up to code it would be an additional 300.00. Lie number 4 - If you have any issues you can reach me directly and I will help. After voicing my concern to
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
regarding the work and the additional cost,
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
suddenly stopped returning my calls and emails. It wasn't until I started calling the office everyday for a week that he finally came to me with a resolution.
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
's idea of a resolution was to "split the difference" and only charge me $150 more than the contracted price because his technicians came to a job with out the proper equipment to safely complete the job. I wish I could say that the issues stopped there, but they did not. By the time everything was "resolved" a month had gone by and we were in need of a refill. This service was done promptly and billed immediately. Upon reading the bill my wife notice that they had billed us 3.20 a
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
when the going rate for propane is currently 2.89. When my wife called and spoke with
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
, she was extremely rude to her and had no explanation for the over charge. I can only speculate it is to make up for "splitting the difference" on the install. Shortly after their phone conversation I received and email from
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
apologizing for the error. This could have been the olive branch we needed to continue business with them, but at the end she added the following: I want to make some clarification with the install that was done on 12/11/2014. All of our installation technicians are trained and highly qualified for the jobs. A trencher would not have gotten through the roots on your property. Our men showed up with the proper equipment and went out of their way to make sure that the work done on your property was completed and up code. I guess lying to the customer is a office standard with
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
. The only problem is they didn't inform their technicians of the lying standards. BOTTOM LINE THIS IS THE WORST CONTRACTOR EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AND AM TERMINATING MY CONTRACT IMMEDIATELY.

My family and I have leased our propane tanks and regulator from Northern Energy /
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
WA for the past two years, so we must purchase our propane from them. Our tanks were getting low recently, so I called to have them filled. I was told a delivery driver would make the delivery within 7 to 10 business days. In the past, a driver was usually here within 5 to 7 business days. This time it was the full 10 days (13 calendar days from when I called). When I called to see why the delay (our tanks were starting to get really low), I was told one driver was out sick, and another was injured. I understand, things happen. After the delivery was made on the 10th business day, I saw the price on the delivery ticket was much higher than I expected. When I received the bill in the mail this week, I was shocked. I did a comparison online and spoke with my neighbors, who also have propane delivered to leased tanks, and we are being charged nearly double the price per
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
for a similar quantity delivered to leased equipment. One local company quoted me their price per
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
delivered to equipment leased from them, and confirmed we are paying $2.03 per
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
more than they charge their existing customers. The last few deliveries from Northern / Heritage, I noticed the price per
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
seemed higher, but I figured it was just because we were leasing the equipment., but now I feel like we're being taken to the cleaners. We pay our bills on time, so we feel we are not being treated well. We are now shopping to buy our own tanks and regulator and drop our business with Northern Energy /

Although the price offered by this supplier sounds great - buyer beware. They are quick to take your $$, but are a "no show" when it comes to delivering. They promise delivery in 7-10 days from your fill request, but I'm still waiting on day-15 while my tank is getting near empty. several contacts to them only get a "I'll contact the scheduling supervisor" response with a promise to call back. They never make a commitment for a delivery date or even IF they will deliver, and of course there is no call back.

Everything went smooth. We will be using
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
for all our fill ups. We have no complaints. We had a lot of questions and
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
the owner was always available to talk to. Very nice dependable company.

Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
Propane until they were bought out by Amerigas. OK for a year until my price guarantee expired. Amerigas tried to gouge me on the price of propane. Quoted me $4.50/
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
for a 300
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
fill up! Looked on Angie's list - called Alliance. They set up an account, disconnected old tank, installed new tank, inspected system at no charge. First fill up at $2.09/
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
1 year guarantee at $2.69/
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
. If you are using Amerigas, check your last bill and see how bad you're getting gouged.

I got stuck with
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
when they bought
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
Propane. OK for the first year until my price contract expired. I called for a refill and asked for the price per
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
. Sure glad I did. I was quoted $4.65/
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
! When I complained they said they would cut me a deal for one time fill at only $4.00/
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
. I declined, checked Angie's List and called Alliance Propane. They switched tanks (less money for the rental) filled up my tank at $2.09/
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
for the initial fill and $2.69 for a year thereafter. I know the price of propane fluctuates and I don't mind paying a slight increase from time to time but this is pure PRICE GOUGING when a small independent can charge $2.00 per
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
less than the nation's biggest supplier and still make a profit. I would advise all user's to look at their bills and see how the are getting hosed. The switch out only took a couple of hours and was well worth it. I saved over $700.00 on the first tank! Oh, by the way I requested
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
to remove their tank over a month ago and it is still sitting in my yard. Should have had Alliance set it at the street as they offered

Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
came by and recommended the Will Call plan since I described how I wanted to know what the price per
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
and delivery date was ahead of time.
He gave me a price guarantee of $1.799/
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
on my first delivery, which will likely be in June 2015.
I contracted with
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
because AmeriGas charged me $4.34847/
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
on 235 gallons 12/26/2014, for a total price $1039.96.
According to eia.gov the wholesale price of propane is $0.664/
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
in PA. That leaves room for a profit at $1.799/
Latham Propane Dealers Provider Name Locked
, but $4.34847 is out of line.
