"My experience was extractable. They are the only company I can use. I didn’t have much choice. It’s difficult to get an appointment. The one thing I"
’t like is they’re local reps. When she goes through the 1-800 numbers for service, the local reps won’t assist you. They are carrying their name but she has issues. She represents
but she can’t help me. They came when they said they were going to.

"Salesperson promised 3 Mbps, but tech who installed it told us that's impossible and 1 Mbps would be
because we were too far from the" nearest hub. For use required by the university the speeds were insufficient. Even YouTube watching was choppy. We did speed tests ourselves. The
was 0.5 mbps for downloads and much slower for uploads. Cancelled the service immediately and went with an alternate Internet provider. Took a couple months to work out charges for the router, but that has now been resolved too (AT&T sent a refund check). I believe this is a failure of information flow within AT&T and its affiliates. The call center personnel are tasked with selling something that the infrastructure does not permit, but they do not seem to have that information. It was rare in our interaction with AT&T for anyone we spoke with to have immediate access to the entire service history.

Landline Phone Service reviews in Larchmont

I was paying $73 a month for home phone and internet. They then raised the price to $76 this month and when I called they said I should've been paying $93 after my promotion. The phone service is fine, but half of the time, the internet doesn't even work right. They tried to get me to sign up for UVerse TV too but they got rid of Fox News so I'd have to pay $137 a month to include that station with the other channels. They are going to be send a technician out to today look at my internet problems. They said if it was my fault, they'd have to charge me, but if it was their fault, there wouldn't be any charge, so we'll see how it goes.

Their prices just continue to rise non-stop while the quality of the cable service continues to decline. I get a lot of interruptions and a lot of break in service -- and the service has gotten worse over the past 6 months to a year. I just got a $37 increase. They don't have enough customer service reps -- everything is automated when I call in. The last time I tried to call, the system wasn't recognizing the prompts. I had a twenty minute wait when I called in. As big as they are, the quality of their reps are terrible. They have canned responses for everything you say -- and you can tell. It comes across as insincere. When I did get through, I got cut off twice. The biggest issue was that I called last month about my bill, and they made a commitment to lower my bill to where I was happy with it. They guaranteed me it'd be under a certain amount. When I called today to follow up, the rep couldn't find any record of my last conversation; they said they couldn't get it down to the previous person's promise.

I have generally been quite happy with Charter. The only serious problem I have had was a weak signal that made HD a bit dodgy, and occasional Internet issues. They fixed this with a line booster a couple of years ago, and I have had very few problems since. I am happy with my service. However, I want to drop back to a lower tier of TV service, not because I am unhappy with Charter, but because I don't watch enough movies to justify paying for the channels. I spend far more time on the Internet, and have only watched a handful of movies in several years. My biggest gripe is that I would like to be able to downgrade online, or through my TV. (You can UPgrade this way easily. I guess they don't want to encourage downgrading, which is understandable.)
- Allen W.

Their phone system works great, and other than bundling products I never use, I like it fine and would give them an "A" in all categories. The Internet is another story. There's nothing in particular that stands out, it is just a lot of little things that add up to a feeling that the only part of you they care about is your wallet, and they care too much about that. Responsiveness is spotty, call center knowledge is a bit worse, the system has these big surges in responsiveness, the wireless modem they sold me is prone to having its signal jammed by just about anything but they tell me that using any equipment other than their own will cancel the contract. The biggest problem is a constant need to upsell me to faster and better products and services. I've done that a couple of times and the experience has never been good. Their billing service is prompt about picking up the additional charges and is courteous but that is where the good news ends. There is nothing particularly bad about the rest of the service, but I don't earn a lot of money and I would expect better service for the roughly $90 I am paying for any other service. About the only thing going for
Larchmont Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
is that their only real competitor in the Twin Cities for residential internet is Comcast, which is awful in all regards.

Geoff did a great job. My house is older with a lot of old wiring, and it wasn't immediately obvious how to accomplish the task. He took the time to figure it out and made sure everything worked properly before he left.

I have been using
Larchmont Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
for our home phone for about 4 years now. The service is excellent. The only cost was the initial $150 to buy the unit, which plugs into our router and serves as a phone and answering machine. The call quality is very good. I only have two complaints: 1.) When we purchased the
Larchmont Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
, we paid a small fee (I think it was about $25) to have a cell phone number (that we had been using as a home phone) ported over to the
Larchmont Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
. That was never done. 2.) The "scout" unit that allowed us to have a second phone in another room quit working after about 3 years. But even so, I am very happy with the service, which doesn't cost me a dime after the initial purchase!
- Dayne I.

The installer arrived on time and was very helpful, and stayed later even though it was a Friday to be sure everything was set-up correctly. The installer was great. The service works well, although it goes down about once every other month and I need to de-power the main FIOS box and reboot. Comcast went down about once a year. When I reboot, it comes right up. I can't say for certain it's the FIOS box, it could be something in the router on my end.
Larchmont Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
sometimes offer deals online when I log it, but when I try to take advantage of it (e.g., $5 upgrade in speed for one year) it never works, and I call up
Larchmont Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
on the phone and they say, "oh, this special won't work for you because you don't have triple play", or something similar.
- Steven A.

The new service is no less expensive than the old service because of AT&T "bundling" policies. In essence, all plans end up costing the same and it would actually cost me MORE for Internet and TV if I opted to remove my land line. I would not use AT&T if I could help it, but I have a
Larchmont Long Distance Phone Companies Provider Name Locked
and need to be able to

phone calls -- AT&T is the only provider that can still do this (for a fee, of course).
Most of the phone reps (with a few exceptions) are incompetent, and all of them lie outrageously -- this is NOT an ethical company and once your name is on a contract, all they care about is getting paid whether their service work as promised or not. Prior to AT&T I used Vonage for phone and DirecTV for TV and Internet. Never had a problem or a bill in excess of $100.
