From the moment I called their office I was treated with respect and non-pressuring sales people. They confirmed appointments, were timely, and efficient in their analysis and work. They listened to both my husband and I and checked all areas of concern before making recommendations. They were modest in their recommendations and did try to pressure us into things that would be totally unnecessary. On the day of installation, the technician was polite, respectful and efficient as well. He was sure to explain everything to me prior to leaving. The day after installation I noticed that something looked a bit off on the air vent and they came back that day to address it, even though it was something they probably could have talked me through on the phone. I would recommend them for any waterproofing needs.

Arid installed French drains in our basement and they did a fantastic job. We got a bunch of estimates, some that were so out of line ($15,000!!!) and some that you could tell were very desperate for the work. We really were overwhelmed and had no idea what we were doing, but from my limited understanding, Arid really seemed to have the better product and Pat spent a lot of time with us and explained it all really well. Arid's price was right in the middle and a friend had used them and recommended them highly. Ultimately, we picked Arid because we loved dealing with Pat,
and
in the office and the workers,
,
and crew were extremely professional and courteous. It was a dirty, dusty job that they kept well under control. I'm so glad we went with Arid. We haven't had a drop of water in our basement since.

Appointment was for 10:00am, he did call twice to say he was on his way, but did not arrive until at least 12:00pm. Seemed to be having technical difficulties with his phone, and so my husband told him it was fine to email the estimate rather than complete it right then and there. Never heard from him again.

Initially,

from
Garden City Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
suggested a sump pump and perforated tile for drainage control directed to a tie-in discharge to downspouts.
Garden City Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
from Buckeye came to do the work and suggested we clean out the gutters which was causing most of the problem. His men excavated small portion of garage floor next to wall and determined there was no water there. He determined that the garage foundation might need to be waterproofed from the exterior. He found cracks there and filled them in. The men cleaned out the gutters, put the garage floor back together. They worked very efficiently and were very respectful.

The reason for this work was that the backyard was not graded properly by the builder so all rain ended up flooding our patio. After the drainage pipe was installed, no more flooding! Bill et.

Ed Heartstedt came out and provided a very professional approach to talking about the solution that they would provide. He provide a quote in a timely manner and is well versed in the technology employed by this company.
We did not go with this solution because the moisture issue will be addressed by the buyer of our property.

The previous owners of the house had
Garden City Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
waterproof the basement and they did an excellent job and I have had NO problems. Before purchasing the backup pump system I had one of the service managers, Norm, come out to the house so that I could talk to him about any questions I had concerning the install. The install involved running another PVC discharge line for the backup pump exiting through the block concrete wall. I also have a Radon mitigation system installed over my pump pit, so there is a plastic cover with a drain installed for my air conditioning condensation line ect. He told me that they would run the new discharge line away from the drain in the radon cover and there shouldn't be any problems. Norm was great and after talking with him I decided to go ahead with the install.
Service personnel showed up on time on the morning of install. I was told it should take 1-2 hours, instead it took 4-5 hours. Service personnel installed the PVC through the block wall and cemented it in before verifying that the rest of the discharge line was lined up correctly. They also started gluing the PVC together before verifying everything lined up. When it came to the point of lining up the discharge line from the pump to the PVC running out of the basement wall it didn't match up so they installed a rubber coupler to line up the two PVC pipes. The new discharge line that they ran did not run away from my existing drain in the radon cover, like Norm had mentioned. In fact the lines touch each other and I can barely get my radon cover to fit properly. Once the crew got everything put together I suggested that we test the new pump so I filled the pit with water and waited for the new pump to kick in, the pump kicked in and extracted the water from the pit. Great!!! When I looked closely at the discharge line I noticed a few small drops of water coming from the PVC connection coming out of the block wall. I told service personnel about the water so they put some more PVC cement on the outside of the connection hoping that would work and said everything was under warranty so if the leak continued to call service. They left and mentioned how much behind schedule they were. So as I expected the extra

of PVC cement on the outside of the connection did not fix the leak. The connection is so close to the wall I think the concrete will have to be opened back up. With this experience I am extremely reluctant to have another
Garden City Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
crew come to my house and try to fix the problem.
I paid the crew the money I owed them and I have not heard anything from
Garden City Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
since, its been about 3 weeks.
For the money I paid I do not feel I received the same level of professional expertise/skill and quality.

Our basement was finished- complete with a bedroom and living room - we paid a company to help demo the area in order to save as much materials as possible to reinstall. Where tiled, we were told we could just cut back leaving enough room to install the drain, keeping the rest of the tiling intact, so that is what we did. When the crew arrived the first day, they were concerned about the available space for dropping a truckload of gravel. We were not told ahead of time that this would be required and did not have a good location around our house....the team seemed very frustrated by this and we were frustrated we were not told ahead of time to prepare for this. For the most part we removed everything from our (formally finished) basement and only had some shelving of basement type storage for them to work around that I asked they cover in plastic. They did, by stapling plastic to our ceiling- making small holes in multiple locations. While doing the work, they used the basement bathroom - I realize they would need to use the bathroom during the day - but disappointed that they did not take care to cover any of the flooring or clean up after themselves - the tile and grout was left very dirty. Additionally, the closet tile that I was told could remain intact was not covered either. This tile, grout and threshold ended up completely scratched and damaged and I just learned this morning is not salvageable and will have to be replaced at an additional cost to us.
I will say we did get a good price compared to another company and the sales guys were very responsive and honest. When I had asked about a battery backup, they explained the shortcomings of installing what would be a very expensive addition too the pump and recommending a much more reliable option of a portable generator, at 1/2 the cost. I really appreciated the honesty as this project was already extremely expensive for us. Our air conditioning was acting a little funny after the

hammering - our AC company replaced a metal strap that had become

has agreed to reimburse me for the service call. I will be contacting them about the tiles once I have an invoice from our contractor and hope they are just as helpful again.
All in all, they did install a working system and have a fantastic warranty that transfers with the sale of the house - a primary reason we chose to go with them. I am just a little disappointed in the care that was taken for our house while they were working in our space.

I expected a good job and that is exactly what I got.
What really impressed me the most is

's service after the sale. I recently had some problems with tile flooring in my kitchen and I asked
Garden City Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
to come and check the floor supports to see if they could possibly have anything to do with my tile problems. Consultant, Chip
Garden City Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
was quick to respond and was at my house in just a few days. He was very helpful. (Since then, it has been determined that my tile problem is due to improper tile installation, I wish I would have picked my tile installer of of Angie's List).

After a 2 day electrical outage, our finished half- basement had flooded, Then the pipe burst in the downstairs bathroom. The first waterproofing company gave me an appointment 6 weeks away. The second contractor said to wait for another storm to see where the water was coming in. I contacted
Garden City Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
from American Crawlspace. Since we live nearby, the owner
Garden City Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
came right away to a**** the situation. He was very kind and answered all my concerns. Also his pricing was very reasonable for all the work he proposed to do. His workers came on time and the work was finished in a little over 2 1/2 hours. They even went out of their way to fix a door that had become unhinged.. Thank you fellows ! P.S. To the homeowner: Get drop clothes from the Dollar Store to cover everything.
Garden City Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
also said to remove pictures and drapes as things got a little dusty from the jackhammering.
