Limousine Service reviews in Burnt Hills
I also hired 5th Ride to take them back to the airport when their stay was finished. That's where the problems began. 5th Ride picked them up at 6:00 AM but decided to pick up an "emergency" rider despite the fact that I had paid for a private car. Because of this "emergency" they were late getting to the airport. My mom needed a wheelchair to get to the gate and because the car was late, they had no time to locate one. They had to start walking to the gate. Fortunately they found someone, with a wheelchair, to help. They barely made it to the plane on time as it was loading when they got there. This was all very stressful on both of them and particularly painful for my mom.
I paid 5th ride $120 (including gratuity) for a private car which I did not get. My mom and sister were made late by the extra pickup (they should have sent another car for the "emergency".) On top of that my sister didn't realize that the tip was already paid for but the driver took another $10 from her!
I will be contesting the charge with my credit card company.
The pick up was ahead of schedule (we were ready) with a clean, new car and a polite, good, driver. No hassles. On our return flight I turned my phone on when we landed to a text message from our driver, and we kept in touch all the way until pick up (we were on an international flight, with luggage, so there was a great deal of uncertainty as to when exactly you will get out). We were picked up at the
All in all I had absolutely no complaints about the service.
The first trip confirmation of the 'to and from' locations had errors in the pick up and drop off information. They were very responsive in making adjustments to correct the wrong addresses and resend the contracts.
When I contacted Reliable Limo to confirm the event the day before, they indicated that we were on track for the correct addresses and times for pickups as contracted.
I specifically requested a SEDAN for this service (to and from) because they were transporting 3 women in their 70's who DO NOT have the mobility to get in a limo or climb up into an SUV.
On the night of the pick up, it seems Reliable Limo was overbooked for the first leg of this trip and they "contracted" with another limo service who sent an SUV for the pick up.
"Sedan Requested" was specifically noted in my contract and was completely ignored. I was neither informed by Reliable Limo about the switch in providers NOR that the wrong vehicle type was sent. I didn't find out about the SUV until 3 days later when my 79-year old Aunt was complaining about the driver having to push her rear-end up to get her into the vehicle.
On October 15th, I was charged $132.60; the amount stated in the 2-page contract for both legs of the trip. On October 22, I was charged another $153.80. This was apparently for the second trip. OK, so it was my fault that I didn't ask them to show the ENTIRE cost of both trips on the original contracts; not just the one leg.
The responsibility is on me to be a savvy consumer and understand the ENTIRE cost of the service for which I am contracting. I accept that role.
However, it did feel suspicious that the billing was NOT indicated as two separate charges on the contract AND that the two charges were made on two separate dates seven days apart.
Ask questions about EVERY detail when making car service arrangements; be sure to get costs for BOTH legs of the trip on your contract AND ask about how overbooking AND errors/oversights, AND wait time charges will be handled.
