White was truly a professional. He listened to my needs and took his time answering my questions. This job took several days. His crew was punctual, efficiently and responsive to my concerns. Additionally, before they left at the end of each workday they cleaned up. I was very impressed with the service and will use them again.

"First, I take full ownership of the fact that I did not go over
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
's head and speak to
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
orJason
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
as the project was going on. Also, on a personal level, the contractors with whom I worked were kind, and I was under the impression they were attentive and qualified. I need to keep this rather brief, although I could write you a
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
, because what matters are two things: one, after a lot of trying, and even though he was very nice, I felt that I had enormous communication problems with
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
and that it was partly because of his skill level, and two, the general state of my apartment when the work was done (and as it was being worked on). It was strangely incomplete at times (here are some detailed, rather small examples: cabinet doors put on backwards, drawer front hardware improvised, dishwasher and range were never leveled, kick plate on dishwasher never installed, dishwasher never hooked up, pencil lines left from marking where cabinets would go, corners of baseboard in kitchen cut and assembled with exposed edges and saw
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
) but the true failure on the part of the person who measured the kitchen (which he did ONCE) in order to tell me which appliances and cabinets to buy, was not recalling that I had a smaller-than-30" wide range in my kitchen prior to gutting. When I tell you that, upon completion, the tiny fridge barely fit, and that they had to reverse the door in order for it to open, it's upsetting. Beyond upsetting is the fact that before this started, and while construction was going on, I persisted in asking about the possibility of getting a larger fridge for the renovation, since I'd had inches on both sides prior to gutting AND the sink base I got at Ikea was 3" narrower than the one I had before (it was one of two choices at Ikea, the other option being huge) .
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
did not get why, at the end of our journey together, the fridge was a tight squeeze, even though it's the same size as the one I used to have. I didn't get it either, until, in a completely unrelated situation, I happened to glance at a compact range at Home Depot. Well, when the range is too big, things will tend to shift. I had drawn pictures. I had made lists. I printed and provided spec sheets for everything. I had asked a lot of times about the kitchen measurements. There are 30 pages of emails. Plenty of photos.
At the initial stages of the project, when
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
told me the hardwood floor in the kitchen needed to be replaced because it was stained, I fully trusted him and gave the go-ahead. The floors turned out beautifully--no complaints about that, although after all was said and done, two of the planks had separated leaving a sizable crack. Also early on, a (very expensive) painter was recommended, and, like the hardwood floor situation, I gave the go-ahead. Unfortunately, the painter was miserable, and my interactions with
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
regarding the (very) bad paint job were extremely painful mainly because he did not see, by choice or because he didn't know better, that the job was not good, let alone worth the price. The painter will get his own review. By "bad job" I mean, for starters, he painted over every single one of the light switches, outlets, and intercom panel.
I moved out of the apartment before things were rolling, and I have not lived there since, as I am planning on selling, although December and the beginning of January were filled with days where I had friends help me complete/fix things in my place. Not being personally present in the apartment as the daily work was done was possibly a problem, but I don't see how over $15,000 for a 700 sq foot co-op can't include some professional supervision. Not included in that cost was all cabinets, counters, sink, and appliances.
It's relevant for me to mention that I had a different company come in and regrout my bathroom, deal with some plumbing, and install a subway tile back splash in the kitchen. That experience was great, and solidified my doubts about the work done with
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
. The second company was more technical in theirs specifications of the work to be done, they correctly used words like "aesthetically" when we discussed how to best do the back splash, and their work was fast and neat. Counter tops were also done separately, and that went great, especially when that company had to come back for a second appointment to get an accurate template measurement because the fist time the supporting end-panel hadn't been installed with the rest of the base cabinets. I should not have been completely blown away by knowledge, expertise, professionalism, and quality work. When a company has so many A's on Angie's List, this is what is to be expected, right?
This was the first time I made such a large financial investment, and the reviews on Angie's List gave me faith that I was spending money wisely, and that eventually things would turn out ok. Of course, 20/20 hindsight is leading me to all sorts of things I should have handled with
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
's supervisors. I would like to think this is not typical, and that I really am the only person who has had these issues. Not sure how that's possible. When I asked Angie's List support how it was that I had such a different experience from most other reviewers, they simply told me to post my own to at least get the word out and let the company respond. Just posting the review wouldn't have been fair, as I'm not being spiteful, and although I don't think there's a real solution, I am open to discussing the matter further. I have sent them, via certified snail-mail, a detailed letter, with photos and 30 pages of emails, because I would like to think they would not want my experience to be representative of their level of integrity and capabilities.

came over and contacted me within a day of reaching out to them. He assessed the work and another 2 days later sent a quote which seemed reasonable. Ultimately,
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
arrived on time (early evening on a Tuesday night which really worked well for my schedule) and got to work. He came well prepared, worked through the cold without stopping (the door
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
outside), and made sure the work was the best it could possibly be. I think the intial expectation was that it would take about an hour, but it ulimately took him about 2 hours due to the issues being more complex. Even with the extra work, there was never a discussion of increasing the price, which does sometime happen. The repair person,
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
, is truly an asset to this organization. Overall, I was very pleased with the work and look forward to working with
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
again.

"First floor-Nothing had been updated since the 1950's. Maybe just the paint. I discussed all the details with
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
. This included sanding the entire interior (walls and ceiling) , skim coating, priming and painting. New oak plank flooring and sub-flooring in all rooms. Replacement of light fixtures, windows, doors/frames, new cabinets and bathroom fixtures. We kept the living room main pocket door but in favor of functionality and light we replaced two pocket with french doors. A new kitchen and bath was completely guted and both turned out beautiful,
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
had some good ideas from his experience therefore no architech was needed. Also put a door in kitchen to access back yard.
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
contacts for tile, cabinets, windows , air conditioning and electrical were great, all delivered end result.

Garden level-This was all original and never kept up. The walls were crumbling lathe, the ceiling falling and the floor was dirt. It was dark, dangerous and still had a coal bin storage.
We wanted a finished basement with minimal or no partitions. As green as possible and energy efficient.
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
is a good listener. After which he will offer his solutions and ideas. Always in our interest. His esthetics are very much in line with his knowledge of Brooklyn.
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
communicates 24X7, I could get him anytime and he kept us up to date daily on what work would be done.
Also was very sensitive to our third floor tenants when having to shut off power or water.
There were some surprises as they did the work,
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
stepped up and did not charge us additional during those surprises.
I will say I felt safe with the crew,
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
always had a head lead with his guys when on site and he would also stop by to see progress.
The crew cleans up every night when they leave. They also ride together in the morning and all show up at same time. This piece is critical as I felt it eliminated crew no shows.
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
treats his crew well and with respect, this flows down to the end result and treatment to us as clients.
I would highly recommend
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
and his team and we plan to utilize his services when we do the out door concrete and back yard work.
There is a lot pride in his work and delivery, their goal is to deliver with a happy satisfied customer !
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
price was very competitive to other quotes we received, not the lowest but not the highest. I feel we got all the return and value on our investment with this organization!

"They installed replacement windows for my complete home. It was a large job so my wife and I did a lot of research. We chose them after checking out all of the competition in the area. They were not only the cheapest but we felt very comfortable with them. The job was done in a professional manner. Their workers really new what they were doing and finished the work to our satisfaction without one hitch. We would highly recommend this company to anyone in the

"From the onset dealing with Window Fix was exceptional. Setting up the appointment for an in-home consultation to placing the order and having the windows delivered and installed was hassle-free. From the sales estimator to the installers my experience was outstanding. Everyone was courteous, pleasant and professional. They did not give you the run around and if I had questions they were responded to immediately. When the day came for the installation the workers were on time and proceeded with the job. All the work was done in a professional manner and after the job was completed everything was put back in it's place and the areas were cleaned of any debris. The workers were very neat, courteous and outstanding. They did a wonderful job and the windows look beautiful.
I would definitely, without hesitation, use Window Fix again!

"Quality work for a very good price was completed mostly by 2 guys on the job. Excellent responsiveness by with co-owner who bid on the job, was generally flexible generous and honest. Workers did extensive overtime to try to complete work by deadline.
New hardwood floors polyurethane did not dry in a very long time and it still scratches much more easily than refinished floors in a other rooms of house (perhaps a poor quality product used?). To be fair they did the floors for much less than flooring specialists and I didn't think I could afford new hardwood. I would recommend using pre-finished wood if you can get it.
Consistently honest and good to work with. They really worked hard and did beautiful work. Thank you
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
for my beautiful new home!

"It was a great experience from beginning to end. I looked at several companies over a two month period before deciding to go with
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
. After they came out to do the measurements I went to their store to take a look at the different types of windows.
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
helped me and was quite informative and was my primary contact in the store.
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
said that the windows would take two weeks to come so we set up a installation date for the next day after they were scheduled to arrive. I was pleasantly surprised when
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
called a few days earlier than the estimated delivery date and said that the windows were in and I could have them installed the next day, which I did. I think the stars of the operation were the installers,
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
and Papo. They did an excellent job and cleared away all of the debris. It was a pleasure to see someone who took pride in their craft. After the job was done
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
and I stood there for a minute admiring his work. I would definitely use
Brooklyn Window Installers Provider Name Locked
again and request that they send the same team out.
