was great - when we dropped our dog off she took about 5 minutes to talk to us to see what we wanted in the grooming. She also explained that she takes her time to put the dog at ease before she started the grooming. When I went to pick our dog up she was running free in the shop - instead of locked up in a cage. We were the last appointment for the day so

let her run free in the shop.

"They love the animals and my dog consistently comes out looking great and smells wonderful. The shop is adorable and the people that work there are caring and extremely knowledgeable."

"Very positive experience. I needed a dog groomer that would make my dog feel comfortable. My dog felt nervous and uncomfortable around too many dogs at one time. They worked with me to choose a day when it was quiet with little commotion. Since that day, that is the only place I go to get my dog groomed.

"I had

all three times. She seemed friendly with my dog, and said she had 30 years of experience, but each time my dog came out with a different cut. The first time it went fairly well, although she left her hair a little on the long side. It got worse the next two times. My dog is a

tzu, and she didn't seem to know how the face should be groomed. The second time, her muzzle was all chopped up, and she didn't cut under her eyes enough--where the hair grows the fastest. I had to trim it myself when I got her home. But the third time is when I decided I wasn't using them again. I told her NOT to chop up her muzzle like the last time, to cut the beard all one length, and to cut her ears a little shorter. When I picked her up, I literally did not recognize my dog! Her muzzle was short and choppy again, and rounded like a poodle, not squared off like a

tzu should be, and her ears were not cut shorter across, but completely cut around the whole outline, so her ears looked like triangles. It was horrible. It took weeks to grow out. If
Brooklyn Pet Groomers Provider Name Locked
didn't work every day, I'd try another groomer, but I don't want to have to deal with the unpleasantness of seeing her, but using someone else. Also, they take over 2 hours, and I know my dog is put in a cage in between. I used to use a groomer in her home, so she was never caged. It was just an awful experience from start to finish. To spend $50, then $10 tip, and to be horrified, is definitely not something I would recommend.

is a wonderful dog groomer. My dog had been badly treated at her prior groomer
and

understood that my dog is a rescue
dog and that she is not happy being groomed.
I had not been very diligent with her daily grooming and her hair was very...more /> matted.

explained to me in advance that she would have to cut most
of her hair. I was very sorry to hear this, but I knew she was right. When
I returned to pick up my dog she was happy and playful. She had even let

I was so pleased with my dog’s treatment and with the quality of

"I would avoid this groomer at all cost. My regular groomer (Doggie Style) was booked and my dog desperately needed a bathing and cut so I tried this locale (it is closer to my apt). I didn't get a good feeling when the groomer first greeted my dog by pulling his leash and collar to get him closer when it was obvious my dog was a little shy. My dog is a goldendoodle and had some mats which the groomer was saying would be tough to brush out. I told him and the staff member that my regular groomer had handled mats even worse than this many times over. But if they could do a good job it would be great to have a closer option. I understood they would need to cut him shorter but that there was no need to get very close. When we showed up to pick him up we were shocked. It was plain the groomer had no patience and just shaved him all over. And I mean SHAVED. There was absolutely no need to go as close as they did. I said to the staff member "wow, that's pretty close", she said yeah he was pretty matted. BS! He had some mats but the real truth is the groomer had no desire or patience to brush him out, he just took the shaver to his full body. He couldn't even do that well. You could still notice all these uneven shaving track

on him. I went even further to tell the staff that what they did on my dog was a lazy chop shop job. Her answer? "Sorry you feel that way". I give this place another 12-48 months before they close down with that business mind. Go to Doggie Style in williamsburg - much, much, much better. There is a reason they are very booked and you can get into

on a same days notice. Doggie Style is still my desired groomer but we won't be seeing him for months given my dog is pretty naked right now.
