"Dr.
is always kind and caring with kids. She explains things very well to the kids and addresses the adults separately in a well-educated way. She is a great pediatrician!

"We got to the building and nothing is marked clearly on which office is which because the both say
. I got into the office and was disgusted! The woman at the" front counter was a nightmare she was rude and slow, I stood there with a squirming 10 month old in my arms for a goof fifteen minutes. When we finally sat down I got a good look at the waiting room, and it was nasty. There is a fish tank in one corner that is so full of algae you cant even see any of the fish inside of it. The floor looked as if it had not been swept in a good month or so. The didn't have a single
, or book, or anything really telling you that this was even a children's office. I was very unpleased with the fact I had to hold my child the whole time and fill out ten pages of paperwork. He was not very pleased either, at our previous office he could get on the floor and play but here there was not way I was putting him anywhere near that floor. When we got back to the rooms it got a little better. But I had notices how unclean these patient rooms where as well! There was dirt all over the counters and nasty brown stuff in the sink. I talked to the nurse and when the doctor came in I told her I no longer wanted the flu shot given to my son.

"Being a new dad, I was not well prepared. I fell into sleep and dropped my baby to the ground (wood floor) in the middle of night. The baby cried a little bit, then stopped pretty soon." He was alert and responsive, no vomiting, nothing. We didn't find any concerning swelling on his head. The next day, I was still concerned and called the doctor's office to seek confirmation that my baby is okay. I was instructed to bring in the baby right away. We did and we appreciate the prompt action from the office.
examined the baby but could not tell the severeness. Even though my baby's situation didn't satisfy the requirement to even call the office, based on the practice's handbook (stupid me didn't read the handbook at all!), eventually she told us to bring the baby for an imaging at
's children's hospital, to be safe. She did not mention ER and made the imaging sound like no big deal. Followed the instruction to go to the imaging department of
's childdren's hospital and was told they didn't receive the order. Called the doctor's office and was told this time to go to ER. Stupid me didn't realize the change and went to ER. At ER, was told

. We were concerned about the possible risk of cancer introduced by CAT scan, but was eventually convinced by the doctor's example of one CAT scan equals the radiation received from an international flight to China. The end result is: my baby took CAT scan and X-
at age of 18 days. Later on, I regret that I had my baby taking CAT scan, after I had more time to read more related topics: 1) a doctor's comment on doctor's use of CAT scan -- "People aren't focusing as much on clinical skills like taking a patient's history and doing a physical examination,". 2) One study showed that kids who went to an ER after suffering a minor head injury were less likely to get a CT scan if they were simply observed in the ER for 4-6 hours -- and that observation period didn't compromise their safety. Now for the lifetime of my baby, I am in consistent worry about the fact he is exposing to bigger cancer risk. And I realized I was that dumb to believe the doctor's are looking for my baby's best interests, but not just trying to get out of liabilities. There are multiple points that I can stop and not to get the CAT scan, but I failed all of those. However, I have to say
is not a pediatric I can depend on -- she simply demonstrated the lack of clinical skill. If it was Dr

Pediatrics

Pediatricians see children from birth to age 21 for immunizations, routine checkups, and to treat illnesses and injuries, helping kids grow into healthy adults.

We just moved to this area and were looking for a great new pediatrician's office to take our two kids to. Our kids are 10 and 7. We scheduled well checks for both kids, as you must have these before they can been seen for sick visits. Since then we have been there two more times, once for an ADHD evaluation and once for

's ear. So three appointments were scheduled ahead of time and one appointment they worked us in same day, which is nice. For each appointment, we arrived a few minutes early. Here is how our experiences went. The office is decorated wonderfully. There is a train running on tracks near the ceiling that actually goes through the walls to each waiting room - the kids were enthralled. There are separate waiting rooms for well/sick/

. They have some high tech check in systems and computerized reporting systems. So, you make an account then log on to give updates on current well/sick status of your children. It is a lot of info and it must be filled out prior to each appointment, which is time consuming, though I understand it helps the physician's do their jobs well. After enjoying the artwork, trains, fish tanks, and movies for some time I realize we have been there for an unusually long time. Three of our visits I check with the office staff at the window to see what the hold up is. One time, we are quickly moved to an exam room, then waited for another half hour to see the doctor. Another time, the office

says she will check and let me know then never does. The last time we were there, she said that there was someone about to come out of an exam room but there was one more person in front of us. I tell her we just had to wait over an hour last week. She says yes last week was crazy. I say the time before that we waited over an hour as well. I tell her this is unacceptable, and she disengages and I feel brushed off. We finally get back to the exam room and wait again! At least when the doctors finally come in their service is good! They were all great with the kids and made them feel comfortable. Going to the doctors gets less terrifying for them each time. Also, I have used the bathroom twice while there. Once I had to use the staff bathroom, which was clean and fine. Once I used the guest bathroom, which was dirty but I didn't notice too much because I was mesmerized by the mural!

The doctors and staff at
Beacon Pediatricians Provider Name Locked
Pediatrics are excellent. Everyone is so warm and engaging with the kids at this practice! From the staff at reception, to nurses, through to the doctors, everyone is friendly and helpful. So glad we found them!
As a side note, some people may not give a waiting room much thought,
but you can tell that the providers have put a bit of thought into it.
There are two large aquarium tanks: one with tropical fish, and one with
turtles. Great for keeping nervous little kids busy and excited to
visit the doctor! My kids love going there!

After taking my son there for several months the practice seemed to run like a well oiled machine, office staff was extremely friends, appointments were on time, appointments were easy to get. Lately it has been worse than I have seen in most offices which ultimately made me make the decision to remove all 3 of my children from this practice. The last two months with this practice have been a nightmare to say the least. The last appointment I arrived 10 minutes early, I waited 40 minutes to see a doctor. She came in looked him over briefly, and I mean briefly. Chalked his sickness up to a virus that one of my older children had given him and dismissed us. I think we were with her for less than 15 minutes. She dismissed all of my questions or concerns as to why his cold like symptoms have been going on for 2 months now. I was not comfortable with his exam so the next day I took my 7 month old son to urgent care, where they measured the oxygen level in his blood and listened to his lungs only to find out my son has rsv.
I have noticed that the doctors contradict each other and depending on which doctor you have, will determine what is going on with you child, only to be told the next time that the other doctor was wrong.

First time appt for my 2 kids... the dr was very thorough, kind, and asked pertinent questions. He spent 35 minutes with us and allowed me to describe my children's history fully. I was very impressed that he didn't rush out to see another patient but stayed with us the whole time. He was very friendly with both my children and seemed to genuinely care. I appreciated all the time he spent with us answering my questions.
